Yeah, it's interesting how things like that affect people. Particularly as you start to notice people you wouldn't have thought even cared are actually affected by it, and people are nicer to each other to help one another through stuff.

I hope your friend(s) are okay. Hopefully your mate can get some of that exercise and stuff and it will make a big difference.

My project might kill me and my computer...

Currently it has:
  • taken me well over 170 hours to sketch, and colour *thus far*
  • crashed my computer repeatedly
  • crashed work's computer repeatedly
  • caused insane rambling about "stupid fucking flowers"
  • is 44.8mb (a number that increases regularly)
  • has 23 layers (with at least... 6 more still to be added)
  • tied up over half a gig of RAM at one stage, locking up my computer
  • Causes iTunes to distort music whenever it is opened
  • Took about 7 minutes to open in Painter, and a further 5 just to zoom in
This might just be the death of me, I tell you.

And it's due on the 28th (to be ready for the 29th)

I like House, but mostly because of the characters. Not that I really expect such from TV, but the medical stuff in the show is utterly ridiculous.

I am impressed that Jesse Spencer keeps his Australian accent rather than being Americanised. I'm also impressed that he is not expected to put on a big stupid "Australian" accent either.

Today in the shower I washhed my hair and cleaned my left eye a bit.

My right eye I was forced to clean earlier with salty water and cotton balls. Damned conjunctivitis. I'm going to the doctor later.

Doctor says I have mild conjunctivitis. I have eye drops. I fucking hate eye drops. I hate anything near or in my eyes. Hate hate hate!!

Doctor says it's cause the swelling from my tonsilitis blocked up the tear duct and then my eye couldn't take care of itself properly -- conjunctivitis is the result. Fucken... blah.

And I'm very good at self-diagnosis when it comes to Tonsilitis and Conjunctivitis. I just can't self-prescribe...

I am on eye drops now for conjunctivitis in my right eye (caused in part by my tonsilitis... fucken.. weird). I hate eye drops. I really really hate them. I hate anything on/in or near my eye that I am not in direct control of (and even then I'm iffy doing stuff myself).

I flinch if I get my eyebrows waxed. I flinch if I get my eyelashes tinted. I can barely put mascara on myself.

And eye drops? Takes me forever to put eye drops in. Other people doing it? Even worse? I will flinch a LOT (all involuntariliy) and then most people get frustrated with my squirming and it starts some kind of an argument. I've had doctors threaten to sedate me if I keep it up.

Hiryuu reckons I'm nuts cause of this. So I wanna know, (back me up here folks) who else has problems with eye drops?

Obviously, I fucken hate them. You?

Just to clarify, I seem to only be this bad when it comes to my eyes in particular. While I'm not overly fond of needles for example, I am able to "handle" that with a minimum of fuss. I handled a lot of my post op stuff in 2005 much better than I handle eye drops too. And I handled a lot of uncomfortable and nasty stuff leading up to said surgery as well. The real freaking out only happens if someone wants to mess with my eyes.

This said, I am better if I am in a position so that I don't see it coming. This does not work with things like say.. boyfriends.. putting in eyedrops... who wind up just making me more nervous cause they giggle....

Yeah, but that's not representative of everyone so I had to make that known too. And the girls you know seem very strange to me. Course, in the various social circles I frequent, the girls I know mostly talk to blokes as friends, not exclusively as potential sex partners.

Course, I seem to hang out with a lot of geeks and indie girls and boys. I'm not sure if this makes a difference.

Why do you want it on the background? I assume it's creating it as another layer? Layer 1 or such?

Is it because you have stuff you want on top of it? Then put that stuff on a layer above Layer 1!

I don't like the Background layer.
