Howdy Guys!
I registered because of this thread, as I find it so amazing that these things can be pulled off! VL-Tone, I just watched the vid you posted, awsome! I can't wait to get my hands on this.
Any luck on making Mario turn into Luigi or anything else yet?

I know you said that making a 3d importer would be hard, but what about an exporter? You said you found Bowser's model, would it be possible to export it?

Anyways, thats the end of my rave

Since you can't release the Luigi Hack, will we be able to make similar versions of it in Version 2.0 (Yes I said 2.0 not 1.0 ) of your editor?

Lol, don't mind me, I was just looking forward to getting my hands on it somehow..

Edit: Also, (When you get this project done of cause) what are the chances of you making a Zelda OoT or MM level editor?

Like I mentioned before, ideally, the editor should be able to compress everything back down into one 8-16MB ROM once you're ready to release the hack. That would pretty much solve the IPS problem. A better patch format would be nice, though, especially since IPS provides no way to ensure you have the correct byte order.

What about PPF? I tend to use that more than IPS anyways.

Btw, this is just awsome. Thank you VL, for this incredible dream program!!
I wish I could work like you do!

Well this has certainly progressed! Great work HyperMac'!
From what I've found, you can export the 3d data into an XML file. What can be done with it? Is there a plugin for 3dsmax to import it?
Also, where's the readme, I can't find it. ^^'

Well there is only one file in the archive...

You sure you added it? Its not in the old archive either..

Oh well

Anyways, if the export feature in this viewer cannot be used to export the tracks, how did you get the rainbow road model for the guy in the first/second page? I was hoping to convert the tracks to another game format. I can't release them, this I know but It'd be cool to play on Toad's Turnpike with RC Cars. XD

And HyperMackerel, would it be possible for me to get a basic model of Rainbow Road from you? Need it for a project of some sort .

What format?

[edit] As for SDL, I'd like to keep using it, but that may be difficult.

Thats what you said
Basically I just wanna put it in another game. If you can't get it, I don't mind, just thought it'd be cool.

No, fair enough. But usually when someone asks how do you want your food, you say, and they bring it to you.
