With that, And reality breaks him back. Every bone, every muscle, every nerve in his body begins to collapse in on itself. He recieves a prodigious amount of damage, and drops to the ground over the (hopefully still occupied) body of Schwa. Still, with weak and failing thought processes, he's not worried about his deception... After all, Schwa must have figured it out by now. "...Don't... you... EVER... pull... anything... like... that... again..." ...and he slips into unconsciousness. Time passes. An observer, tired of waiting for the fighters to awaken, might approach and study the small shrine. Perhaps such a watching one might even enter the wooden building, and marvel at the intricate carvings on the walls and ceilings. If the observer was lucky enough, the elevator downwards might be discovered by accident, leading the curious one to a new life, away from the hatred of the surface world. But alas, the impatient observer has no interest in the shrine. Conceivably he's already been inside, perchance even to the subterranean paradise below. Indeed to one of the underworld this man is unmistakenly one who has turned from the light at the end of the tunnel, preferring to wander back into the labyrinth and seek the darkness on the other side of darkness. Yet this man is in no way evil. Some time ago the two helpless bodies before him turned him from his hopeless search, reversed his step so as to bring him back to reality and its comforts. Though he fought them every step of the way, and they knew not the true significance of their quest, he has come to realize his thankfulness towards these two. The Psi Warrior he has always known would become the very essence of truth, the penultimate force of Good. The shapeshifter with no reason to his immortality but those he shares his millions of lives with. These two have many destinies together. It is not their fate to die on this least forsaken of seasides. The lich king smiles, though you couldn't tell, and winks at the narrator. The effect is unnerving- One blue eyelight flickers out for a moment, and a strange warmth is felt by those nearby. Raising a hand, he begins to channel the energy of life through himself, asking of the grass, the air, the mountains, and the waves, bringing a mass of blue-white power to bear in his hand. And then... he disappears, as does the sphere of light. But Corona and Schwa have both been fully invigorated. Blue sparks fly across both of their near-corpses, and they're flung bodily in opposite directions. Corona lands lightly on four wolf feet, then stands back up as a human. He holds his forehead with one hand, obviously confused as to what just happened. Nevertheless, he watches to see how Schwa, now a good fifty feet away, has fared with what he knows must have been a forceful awakening... |

| My layout is also ignorant of such laws. I pray only that a way to talk to it is thought of.
With this law, posts do look slightly odd. It is almost as if in passive I proclaim my words. Though obviously I do proclaim my words in passive. My name is also in violation. Such horrors must not continue. Perhaps my name could be Tartarus, by modification? Alas that today is like all such dark days, with noncomformists at all turns. |

| Hah. I have wonderful parties wherein Metroid Prime 2 is played. It gets more fun when you're really tired and will laugh at anything... But the same applies for Mario Party, so eh. I love the N64 Goldeneye, but none of my friends do. I've played Halo, and I'm unimpressed. Yeah, I need a closing tag...

| This can happen with any animated tile, even the ones Nintendo used. I've had plenty of levels where the water tops turn into ? blocks... In general, if you decrease the number of animated tiles in the level, the glitch should go away. I don't know what causes it, but that's always worked for me.
When I ran into it I was making a level almost entirely out of animated appearing / disappearing blocks. That really, really, really doesn't work.  |

| Wow. I didn't notice that there was a DDR thread until just now. Weird.
So I'm really into Stepmania, but I hate most of the songs in the packages on the SMO site. I dunno, somehow it feels like there's not enough trance techno and too much... random crap for a dancing game. So I end up making my own stepfiles, usually of videogame music. I've downloaded the few other vg songs I was able to find on the net, and I get the general impression that my steps suck completely by comparison. Notable examples of quality I feel I'll never reach are... heh, I forget the author, but there's this FFX Yu Yevon Battle stepfile that completely kicks ass. I've downloaded a lot of things that turned out to be utter crap, too, and they gave me these intense urges to inflict physical pain on their creators. So, basically, should I even bother sharing my work? Oh, and I've heard every explanation for the lack of DDRMM in stores, from "they weren't expecting it to be popular" (wtf?) to "aliens are abducting the shipments" (lay off the drugs). |

| Very, very, very short demo.
You fall right through the clouds in the first level. You can go to the puzzle house, but you can't get the normal exit for that level. Well, if you had a cape... but no. Looking through it in LM, you have some good ideas and use some pretty nice ExGFX, but forgetting to make the clouds solid fails you. It ph4ils you HARD. |

As will be bad spelling.  Watch out, or I'll use divs to pretend to be able to haxx the board. Because I don't know any PHP, let alone the right commands to script to. |

Far, far away from where the gargantuan city lies sprawled across the landscape, a road exists. To a very few, this poorly maintained dirt road speaks of familiarity, of life and of knowledge. To most, it is merely another road, passing through undeveloped grassland, existing only as a guide to direction across the vast expanses of unaltered wilderness. Only a single man knows of its purposes, and he couldn't care less. Along this road there stands a small, windowless wooden building containing a single room whose interior is lined with wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelves stuffed with more tomes claiming to impart infinite knowledge than could realistically exist in any well thought out fantasy setting. The angled ceiling supports a single oil lamp, its flames burning brightly and casting flickering orange light over the wooden desk and chair below. The room is unoccupied, for the moment. The moment ends. In one corner of the room blue runes begin to trace themselves in a circle, forming intricate structures of unimaginable complexity. The outline of a man wearing a hooded cloak is visible for a moment above the circle... Adric swears. Coming home for a quiet night of studying the unthinkable is never as simple as it should be. Mana spike, again. It just so happens to be the six-month anniversary of the last time he was interrupted in his study, and so while he's trapped between dimensions he can't help but remember his first meeting with Schwa, and their oh-so-epic struggle against one of the world's fiercest demon dragons. So much has happened since then... So what are the chances that in following the flow of mana towards its target he'll run into an old ally? Given the hard and fast rules of narrative coincidence, somewhere between four and five hundred percent. With a sigh, he lets go and allows himself to be pulled along with the prevailing tides of magic... It is over quickly. A flash of blackness, then new surroundings. Adric does a quick look around, taking in all around him as his body materializes: Schwa, as he had predicted; A bright white light, obviously the source of the mana surge; Three fighters he'd never seen before but by their stances were probably allies; A narrator being shot for using copy-paste on an introduction... Not nearly as dire a situation as he had ported into last time. But he'd still better announce himself... "Hey there, Schwa. And hey there, Schwa's allies. I'm Adric, I'm on the side of the good guys, I've saved the world numerous times, now what's all the dimensional rip about?" Another internal sigh... He's never been very good at first impressions, but this situation has the potential to become very bad, very fast... And reaching down, he realizes that his spellbook is sitting on the desk in his study. Great. Well, he'll just try to make the most of the situation... all that "use the heart of the mana spike" junk, and the like... (ooc: It's your fault, you said 'mana'. ) |

| "Hmm? No, not searching. Sadly I was in mid-teleport and had no choice but to come here. Like I said, that's quite a dimensional portal we have on our hands... Way too big to be just turned off, and since it's getting stronger something is coming this way. I seem to be without my spellbook, so it would be pointless to try to charge up energy. That said, Star, Dracoon, Razeal, nice to meet you all. I hope against all odds that it will not be combat that drives our comradery."
With that, Adric seems to relax a little. The five of them can probably take whatever comes through, even if it is really big. No need to worry... |

| Adric had sort of been spacing out, thinking of happy memories, trying to spend the last few moments of peace in peace with himself and his past. It's a good way to head into battle, knowing that you won't have to worry if you die. But he's quite alert, and although he gives each new arrival only a cursory nod, he instantly awakes when the enemy begins to pour outwards from the portal.
"Damn, that's a lot of them... And yes, they had to be robots. Narrative causality clearly states that if the good guys fight any army of anything it's always robots, pirates, or ninjas." Adric stands firm, with both hands held out in front of him, palms facing towards the incoming reploids. He concentrates, and a few hundred buster shots begin flying upwards instead of towards the well-placed wall. Lacking the ability to bind them together, Adric has to settle for raining the shots down on those who fired them. He does have a sense of drama, though, so a single bolt of lightning cascades down out of the sky along with the deadly hail, followed by a clap of thunder. "... Though, I've forgotten how good it feels to fight armies." |

| Corona wonders at that. The blast of light restored him to full energy, why not Schwa? And why is he talking out loud, and also too lazy to look up and see who I am? And who in blazes is Emily? Well, might as well make the most of the situation. He transforms back into 'Snow', complete with the lance and the magical darkness to shroud the face.
"Nah, it's okay. I've saved plenty of lives, you don't need to be more noble than they were. And may I ask, who is Emily?" Secretly, he's charging up blue energy in the tip of his spear. Actually he isn't very secretive about it, but he doesn't need to be, since Schwa isn't looking. He's getting ready because he's expecting either Schwa getting his second wind or this mysterious Emily showing up. Speaking of which, Emily doesn't seem to be a name that gives the impression of danger... All the more reason to be careful. It's the ones that aren't deadly you have to worry about. |

| Well, why would I ever want to cover up the banner? It might take actual work to mess with the page enough to do that, and I'm lazy, so I div it. It looked like crap when I put it over the banner, and it covered the buttons beneath the banner.
But next time I feel like posting here, I will nuke the thread with Twinkle Stars. . . . . |
