As a result, one U.S. "shot" of alcohol is almost double the amount experienced by the international community. As a result, "shot-takers" in the United States should be aware of the differences between the two standards and adjust accordingly to prevent alcohol overconsumption. Alcoholism, addiction to alcohol, is a major public health problem. Alcoholics develop a number of health problems, with cirrhosis of the liver among the most significant. Unlike withdrawal from some other drugs/intoxicants such as the opioids, withdrawal from heavy alcohol consumption can produce delirium tremens that can be fatal. Any alcohol consumption during pregnancy carries a heavy risk of permanent mental and physical defects in the child, known as fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. |

Grey stood up, having discreetly signed his life away to the cause moments earlier. He knew from the beginning that even with his refusal it was inevitable that he'd be wrapped up in this mess somehow. What he'd find out, of course, he didn't dare to stare into. By policy, Grey tried not to look too far into the future: It made things very boring. But in this situation, especially with a girl like Rushuna involved, he couldn't resist just a peek. He had stared, he admitted it to himself, but he made sure not to look too far. Not far enough to change what was about to happen, and certainly only far enough to give himself some information, so that he wouldn't be running into this naked. For example, Grey spoke the language almost perfectly, with a few minor gaps in enunciation and emphasis here and there. He tried to fit in with the rest of the crowd, but unlike him, they had all led (somewhat) normal lives in this world. He had crashed here a long time ago and lived in seclusion on top of a blizzard-filled mountain with Johnathan since then. It was definitely not what he was expecting, that was for sure... And he knew that the idea of a person who could communicate so easily with everyone around in such a frightening situation would make him stand out. Grey was alienated before Spork even knocked on Johnathan's door. Faced with this trouble, Grey wanted to make sure he knew what he was doing. It'd be very tough for him to be trusted by everyone else, and that in and of itself would be debilitating. What's more, a single seed of doubt might very well send the entire endeavor spiraling apart. Maybe that was why the agents were so apt to allow people to refuse to help... Even if it did mean taking them by force later on. "< It kind of sucks, actually. I know who everyone in this room is, but none of you know me. Maybe this will fix that. | Grey scribbled into his DS as the crew was overrun with celebration... A quick trick of the light and nobody even noticed his presence in all the commotion. He found a secluded spot with decent service and wrote.
"Dear Jolene, Well, you'll wanna hear about this: We managed to do another crazy act of heroism this morning. Perchanced upon a post full of people and Pokemon of the porcine persuasion. Apparently, a cursed tower on the outskirts of the city was causing everyone in town to be turned into a Swinub whenever the bell in the tallest part of the tower tolled. I can't really describe all of the details, but it was pretty creepy watching someone transform from a normal (I guess) person into what looked like a wet pig made out of mud. Found a bunch of Heartless in the woods, too. I don't know what the darkness is doing in a world like this, but I'll investigate that on my own time. For now, I'm only for you. Anyway, the entire thing was being orchestrated in the tower by a copycat ghost who was obsessed with playing old (but very good, for the most part) video games. I don't really know how that equates to "turn the entire town into pigs", but it did and we kicked his butt. Got us another one of those stones, too. Now there's this huge celebration in the town and everyone's been turned back to normal, which is another thing I don't quite understand, the whole "town being returned to normal now that the ghost doesn't have the Star Stone" thing. I'm sitting on the sidelines of the parade currently. I've had enough excitement for one day. In other, non-business-related news, how are you? I'm dying to hear about the state of the Glitz Pit. After eight games, you think the series might be going downhill?

I actually liked American Wasteland quite a bit, but before that the last really good Tony Hawk game was 3. And of course, nothing will ever really beat 2 in terms of sheer improvement over the last one. Still, the Revert was a great trick to add in, and beyond that you really didn't need much more to get that ever-lasting combo that you were searching for. Park and Skater creator was great and expansive, and the unlockables were juuuuust right. But the entire thing is getting old, dammit. Tony Hawk himself is 38 years old, and his license with Activision doesn't run out until 2015. I don't know how much longer I can handle seeing Tony Hawk games...

The problem with stereotypes is that the people who exemplify them are louder and more obnoxious than the people who don't.

But the people who are against certain stereotypes are also the people who are against, say, establishing an order of thought police who would deliver massive electric shocks directly to the hippocampus of anyone who even so much as shows a sign of a mysogynistic thought. That's not exactly "it goes both ways", because to be truthful it DOESN'T, but darn it all if it wouldn't be awesome to watch people suffer like that. I can't stand rape or mysogyny or anything like that. It's a long-running joke between me and my friends about girls and "the kitchen" and things like that because we all have a mutual respect for women, but even now I start hearing the jokes and I wonder if it's really all right and if we're actually contributing to the problem, moreso than the girls who aren't like Taryn. What if the rapists were raped? Who says it's bad to wish that upon anyone? What about the person who commits the atrocity? An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, but a sodomy for a rape makes for a heck of a lot less repeat offenders.  Because of course, everyone knows that it's impossible to rape a guy.

1-What are the money for, get for each reply (coins)?

The 'money' is used for the archaic "shop.php" section of the site. Initially, it was supposed to be money used to buy equipment for the Acmlmboard RPG battle system, which still has yet to be implemented. It has no meaning otherwise, coins are generated by posts, and any attempt to spam to get these meaningless coins will result in you being banned in the face. 2-What are the differences between dark grey and light grey names? Dark grey names and light grey names represent the people who have been permanently banned from the board as opposed to the people who have just been normally banned. There are different levels of ban depending on whether or not your offense was terrible enough to warrant never giving you a chance to return here. 3-What are the "items" for? The items are used for the same thing the money is used for, and are purchased with money. As there is no battle system as of yet, there is no reason for them to exist other than as tasteful fluff, and if you like seeing numbers. 4-Will I ever get approved and how i can remove the disapproval thumbs-down? You get the thumbs-down removed when you're approved. You haven't been approved because it's more than likely that the ROM Hacking staff has a darn good reason not to approve you, and showing intelligence, maturity, and an actual knowledge or willingness to learn about ROM Hacking will help you to get approved in the future. 5-How long will this website exist? This website will exist for as long as we have hosting/members/dedicated staff and coders. | |||||||||
