I feel that the fact that every single aspect of the game they mentioned right down to the
Spoiler:
Sword of 1000 Truths
was an actual element of the game helped to enrich the episode quite a bit. In any case, Blizzard gets EXTREME ADVERTISINGGGGG out of this.

Sig: "Not enough ta keep up wit' me!"

There was a short, orange blur that whooshed past Kirby at blinding speed, colliding with Grubba and sending him flying backwards. At the moment of impact, there was a shell-less Koopa with his leg extended in a jump kick motion that twisted like a drill as it hit. It was only for a moment, of course. As soon as the point of contact ended, Sig deflected off of Grubba, backflipping once and disappearing into a blur again. Speed was about all the Koopa had, however, as it became quite readily obvious that Grubba was only hurt, and not broken, by this assault.

The monstrous creature sprung to his feet and growled at Sig, stamping like an enraged bull. With his spiky hair, he proceeded to dash forward at speed that easily matched Sig's, his steps making the ground rumble like a small earthquake.

Grubba: "Ya think that hurt? Hah! Y'all ain't nothin! Nothin', ya hear? Yer a low rankin' lucky sunofagun, an' I'ma prove it! GRRRAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

Grubba charged at Sig, and Sig did a quick physics calculation in his head. He certainly couldn't harm Grubba directly, but...

Sig ran straight at Grubba as he charged, squinting his eyes and focusing on one single point: Grubba's tail. He'd only get one shot at this.

The centrifugal force of an object is equal to the mass of the object times the square of the velocity of the object divided by gravity times the radius of the circle that it was being swung in. Sig was pretty small, and he knew his arms were fairly short in length, being nothing more than a shell-less turtle and all...

At the last moment before Sig would have been knocked to kingdom come by Grubba's attack Sig skidded around in a semicircle and caught Grubba by the tip of his tail with an outstretched hand. He wrenched Grubba upwards and got to his feet, using Grubba's momentum to swing him around in a rapid circle.

With Sig's short arms, the radius of the circle that he was swinging Grubba around in was small enough so that with Grubba's increased speed and mass, the end result was enough to create a dizzying whirlwind where the two had met.

Grubba squirmed and swiped at Sig with his long arms as the two spun round and round, slowly accelerating to a greater velocity. Finally, Grubba bent his head downward and tilted it just slightly to the side, opening his mouth and spitting out a spiked ball the size of his head at the tornado terrapin. The ball's trajectory hit true in a quick parabola, and Sig was struck dead-on. He reacted by doing the only thing Physics demanded; He let go. Grubba flew out of Sig's grasp and sailed like a bullet towards a light fixture near the corner of the arena. He slammed directly into the fixture, which exploded in a shower of glass and steel as Grubba bounced off and fell back towards the ground.

Sig panted, breathing heavily as Grubba got back to his feet and waddled uneasily towards him. It was just a lucky shot, but it was one hell of one... Even so, Grubba was now stumbling on his feet, unable to walk in a straight line and clearly off his guard. Sig grinned as he winced in pain.

Sig: "Guys... I... did all... that I could... Good luck to ya."

With that, he collapsed to the floor of the arena, a condition attributed both to the winding shot in the chest and his own state of dizziness as a result of the attack. Grubba did not notice this, and continued to walk around, drunk on the lack of equilibrium and balance in his head.

"Andy was wrong... It wasn't a myth at all..."

And that was it. Sig was down for the count, but Grubba was an easy target.

---------------

Grey, on the other hand, was still in the hallways with Jolene... He whirled around to investigate the clicking of the heels, and made his way as quickly as he could towards it.

Grey: "Everything? You mean you weren't a part of the plot?"

Grey shimmered back into existence behind Jolene, a look of wonder and understanding on his face.

"I get it now! That's why... That's why you would dress up at the Juice Bar as someone else! You knew someone would want to solve the mystery of Prince Mush one of these days!"

His gaze was cast aside for a moment, and he grimaced.

"Man, I feel like an ass now for being so suspicious..."

This is bullshit. I'm going to temporarily close this until Zerodius actually returns and says that he'll continue the WACK-A-CLONE campaign. We don't need people cluttering the thread up with requests that may never be fulfilled.

Grey pulled out his DS as the conversation went on. He booted up his pictochat hack, and proceeded to drop Jolene a line in stylus.

Grey:
"Dear Jolene,
Spoiler:

Thanks for the regards, but next time, could you be a little more implicit? If I'm found out this early in the game, we won't have any new material for months... I balked originally when you found out about me, but I guess I've come to accept it at this point. Just keep it under your cap and away from Kirby's.

By the way, how is Sig? With everyone gone and Rawk Hawk dethroned that makes him champion of the Glitz Pit now, right? Or is your brother back on top? In any case, I'd like to hear from you.

I'm writing you from my DS right now, so I won't be able to give out any updates until we manage to get to a rest area. I'm working on a voice mod for my DS's firmware, too. Once I manage that, I might even be able to give out podcasts!

It's good to know I have you on as a contact now. Keep me posted on what's happening at the GP.

Stay cool,
"Xyger"
"

Grey tapped the "send" button and shut off his DS, snapping it shut and putting it back in his vest. He caught up to everyone else, and pushed his glasses up his nose.

"So... What exactly are we waiting for, then?"

Grey: "I remember, now... Kalar once remarked to me about them. He said he felt a kinship with them upon researching the psychological effects of the darkness on peoples' minds."

Grey closed his eyes. Mental disorders weren't his strong suit anymore.

"It was a condition that several people were afflicted with, whereupon their minds were able to perceive emotions, but not necessarily be affected by them. As the mind is a gateway to the heart, there was naturally no way for anger, depression, hatred, any of those feelings to sink in and allow the darkness to take root."

Luke crossed his arms in defiance at this, and rolled his eyes.

Luke: "That's bull! It's easy for people to say they don't have emotions."

Grey: "Easy to say, not to do. Everyone is affected in some small way by something. These semi-heartless are people who are already born without hearts, in a sense. The physical heart is there, but the spirit... For a time, I thought Nijote was one of them, which was why I was so surprised to see her Heartless attack us."

He looked back to where he and Ark had come from. In any case, Nijote was free now...

"The semis are among the strongest allies and most fearsome enemies we have. They walk with the darkness as a friend, and though it does not influence them, this can in large part be because their beliefs are already in line with the dark doctrines. To consume, to destroy, to be ever-hungering for the light of others. I admit, I'm a little wary of confronting "it"..."

He turned towards Shen, and nodded his approval nevertheless.

"...But we're far from finished around here, and I admit that Shen has an excellent idea. Garro?"

Garro: "Just a few more adjustments to the loading mechanism..."

He had been working tirelessly for some time now on his spare parts. His "adjustments" looked like nothing more than carving eerie sigils into the stock of a sizeable Frankenstein of weaponry: He got to his feet, and admired his work.

What remained of the parts that Garro had gleaned was a large, shoulder-mounted cannon adorned with stabilizing straps that meshed together to allow for even displacement of weight around the body: Various parts of the straps had been counterweighted to allow for comfort and functionality. Various charms and symbols had been attached to and carved into them, and it looked somewhat amusing to the uneducated observer, as though Garro was a traveling salesman for religions half of the world had never heard of (or none of it now, as it were). Or maybe a stock car, advertising for deities.

"There, finished!"

The rest of the group blinked in slight disbelief. Garro felt it, and grimaced.

"What?"

Ark: "Are you serious?"

Garro: "It's a Holy Cannon. Even if most of the gods that are invoked on here are defunct or retired, this thing will serve as a beacon for their regrouping. It hasn't been that long since the world was taken."

Luke: "....You're an idiot."

Garro: "....Good thing you guys aren't human."

He frowned and shouldered the cannon easily, which appeared to give him no encumberance at all. The front barrel of it was wide and bulky, but it quickly slid back into itself as Garro flipped a clasp on it, and the entire gun fell over on Garro's back. Now much more heavily armed than before, he shook his head and waited for everyone to say they were ready to keep going.

"Come on, let's just go."

Garro: "The answer to that's pretty simple."

He stepped through the portal to the dilapadated village warily, and checked himself as he emerged from the other side, with Grey and Shen bringing up the rear.

"Origin is part of a trinity of gods. As he is only one part of what could be considered a singular being, in order to tap his power, I'd have to tap all of his power. That includes both of the Phoenixes, which is a little more than I can handle. Aside from that, I try to stay away from guys like DP. Considering what happened..."

He cast his gaze aside. Kalar...

"...Well, it's just not worth the risk."

Grey: "Holy *&^$%!"

Grey nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight of the piggish Pokemon, and immediately whipped out his DS, taking notes on everything from the smoke that had puffed around the childpig to the dirt on the ground around it. He HAD to write about this!

But then something dawned on him. That wasn't just a pig... It was a Swinub. And those weren't just crows... They were Murkrows. He kept his surprise intact and put his DS away.

"I get it... Everyone in this town is being turned into Pokemon, right? We're "adventurers", so I guess he figured it would have been our job to figure out what's wrong. How 'bout that."

Grey blinked.

Grey: "That's an odd place for a random explosion of fire. Who was this "Doe" person before the Heartless came along, anyway?"

Another thought occurred to him.

"And wait, Shen, you said that he... or she... eh, it... was the last 'human' on the planet. Does that mean that most of the semis aren't fully human anymore?"

Johnathan: "I see. Storm Gust!!!"

A faint glow surrounded Johnathan for a split-second, and the streams of water around him rose into the air, purifying themselves and forming into fist-sized balls of water. The water balls froze into shards of ice, which swirled around him like a localized blizzard, batting Gohma spawn to and fro with ease. The creatures continued to leap at him as he stayed planted firmly in place, calmly watching as the shield of ice flowed like a dome of frozen doom. Spawn after spawn was kicked backwards by the attack, and Johnathan nonchalantly wondered how long he'd have to keep this up before the pack thought of something new, or someone came along to try to rescue him. In any case, as long as he had to keep concentrating on this, he'd have to stop observing...

The issue isn't whether or not you're high level enough, it's whether or not your gear is good enough to kick sufficient degrees of total ass with. You could beat the game, as Sam said, with level 1 characters. If you have them all equipped with Super Robot Suits or something, you're invincible.
