Grey grimaced. Another Politikemon down... Time to change tactics, he thought as he pulled out his Politikeball and fired a red beam at the choking Dean, who was grasping his throat and desperately trying to give himself the Heimliech maneuver. The creature faded into nothingness, and was sucked back into the ball. Kirbynite's Hard Ball lay impotent on the ground where he once stood. Seeing Kirb's umbrella, Grey got a devilish idea... Grey: "Alright, Kirb, you've managed to best my Politikemon... So I think I'll go for something a little less... Stupid? Yeah, that's the word." Grey grinned as he tied a red bandana, produced from inside of his vest, around his head. He'd need to keep his hair out of his eyes, after all. As Umbrella Kirbynite cowered in the corner of the arena, Fighter Grey was off! He leapt high into the air towards Kirbynite, landing on the soft grass with an even softer thud, and zoomed forward, a cheesy anime background rushing behind him from the view of the Arena cameras. His fist pulled back as he approached Kirbynite, Grey pushed it forward and began punching wildly, the waves of air his lightning-fast fists launched blasting forward like little energy balls at Grey's pink opponent! He looked up at the wall. There wasn't really anyplace a person could climb on, but there were rocky outcroppings at the top, as was the case with many walls of sheer stone and dirt. He wondered why he hadn't visited this place before, considering where he was and what he had been (was going to be?) doing for the past who-knew-how-long-except-it-was-more-like-multiple-sets-of-the-same-three days. "I mean, the wall's only twenty feet high, it's not like scaling it is that big a deal. All we need is some rope, or one of those fancy flowers you guys were talking about, or some kind of super ninja power to jump in a blur of color and lines towards the top. Ya?" | Grey: "Perhaps we can drain the water? I'm not exactly privy to swimming, myself..."
Grey snapped his fingers, and the darkness of the underground maze was slightly relieved by a ball of fire that he had PK'd into his hands. The sight that met his eyes was amazing; An entire underground city, with aqueducts, tunnels, even the ruined remains of buildings and other strange structures. It was almost as though an entire city had been immersed in water and lost forever. And yet, throughout it all, he could feel something very mechanical about it, as though there was somehow something much more beneath the surface of the overlay of grey and blue bricks. Like Venice, there was no way to drain ALL of the water... Without waiting for Sky, Grey took a quick glance around and jumped into the water (more out of necessity than anything else: He's not a water fan, you see). His flame went out instantly, and beneath the waves his head produced a green flash of light, illuminating the dark, wet path. The water was surprisingly warm, for an underground cavern. He suspected even more now that there were machines within these walls, processing energies and giving off a heat that made for a reasonably comfortable swim. Bubbles of air floated out from the floor of the caverns, big enough to stick one's head inside of. Definitely something going on behind the scenes. There were even mechanical fish, tiny little things that fluttered and swam about in the water in schools. Grey pondered why a robot would need to travel in schools, and what could possibly coordinate such a being under these conditions for a few moments before noticing a rather large tunnel that had a small current sucking into it. His breath about to start actually hurting, Grey rocketed back to the surface and broke the water with his head. The cold air of the inner cavern greeted him sharply, and he reported his findings back to the group. "Ah, right, I think I found where to go, if we're going down." He looked up. The flash of light from his head showed a cliff at the very top of a large stone temple, closed off save for the tunnel down below and the entrance up top. So that was what it was... | Grey gaped, open-jawed, at Kirb's consumption.
Grey: "Oh, you bastard! You ordered chinese and you didn't even tell me? Fuck man, I coulda gotten some Kung Pao Chicken, or some Tsao's or even a damn EGGROLL! Man, I'm hungry too, you know." His eyes turned to a scowl and his face darkened as Kirbynite shoved more food into his pink mouth. It was bad enough that the car had hit him and slammed him into the wall just as he was about to land (fortunately, the blow was softened by Grey's telekinesis), but now he didn't even get any chinese food! He was pissed. "You... you're really not very nice when you're fighting, are you...?" He took a small leather pouch out of his vest, and affixed it to his side. Grey's teeth clenched together as he started to heat things up. His eyes, as was a trademark of Grey Writing, began glowing a creepy color. This time, green... |

| Grey: "Haha, made you cry!"
Grey chuckled for a few seconds, and then shook out of his offline trance fully and began explaining... "Well, here's how it goes." He pulled from nowhere a small easel, which contained, as per usual, a cacaphony of badly drawn stick figures. He pointed to the first, a bunch of stick figures, including one that was short with a pimp hat and another that had a green glow around it. "This is you and me and everyone else. On the old Acmlm's Board building." He pointed to the next stick, a large rectangle with a giant X over it. "The building was completely annihilated, but the destroyed ruins of the Story Forum Complex and the Sim Battle Arena Annex stayed intact, along with a large amount of the rest of the building. Most of it, however, is inaccessible. The elevator seems to be the only way to really get from floor to floor, since it's not based on up/down physics anyway. The General and Craziness departments were completely decimated, and pretty much anything that didn't have any protection to it was crushed in the explosion." He pointed to another drawing, of a new building that was very large and shiny, for a stick drawing. "This is the new building. We're not there right now. We're in the ruins of the old building, and we need to get to the new building and move all our old crap out. More specifically, you need to move all your old crap out. I did that already, as did most of the people who lived in the building before. Well, what was left of it anyway. Right now, we're basically in the departed books stacks of a library, to use a comparison." He pulled the sheet upward and it disappeared into nothingness again. "You get all of that? Especially you, Bel? I'd suggest reading it multiple times for comprehension, this is your current plot." He considered for a few seconds. "Also, I wanna find Yoro." |

| Actually, if I could interject for a note, I can do a lot of Legend of Max without the bar, and I can't do any of Paranoia Survivor with the bar, it's too disorienting (triples that cross around and sets of five just aren't worth the grab and the amount of extra stamina needed to keep the bar stable).
Pump it Up sucks ass. Anyone have any good, fun 8 footers that they run all the time? I usually do Witch Doctor and Spin the Disc a lot, as well as Synchronized Love and Twinbee. But you all already knew that. |
