| Well, I went to the doctor today: Woke up with another spot, this one bigger than the last one. About the size of a child's fist.
The doctor had no idea what it could be, so he took some of my blood and they're doing bloodwork on it. They don't get the results in until next week, so until then I just gotta wait. If it is something serious, like a thyroid condition or something akin to that, I'll be sent to an epidemiologist (sp?) for further examination. Here's to hoping I don't have cancer. |

| We need a real Final Fantasy Tactics II like we need a Megaman Legends III. I'm happy that XII is taking place in Ivalice, but I really don't think I like the system that much. I played the demo of it that was packed into Dragon Warrior VIII, and it just didn't seem appealing.
I hated X and VIII, though I'm considering giving both of them another chance. As a fan of the old school, I thought IX was a refreshing return to roots, save for the fact that regardless, the characters were still kind of transparent and you just couldn't care about them that much... VII, only good things about it were Cid, Red XIII, and the Turks. Everyone else is kinda lame. Story's good, it makes an excellent political point that we're destroying the world and such, and even features what the writers probably wished would happen, with the earth finally fighting back against humanity, etc etc etc. VI, I actually never played about 90% of it. Sorry. IV was the best. Its characters really were quite deep and you really could get to care about them (if it was your first time through). It had secrets and sidequests and all that fun stuff, a good plot (back when the elemental crystals weren't an overused pile of crap), and it was just plain fun. I'm glad it got rereleased... But now I gotta play the hardtype version. ._. More Chrono would be lovely, too, but I think we've seen enough of Secret of Mana. |

| Yeah, Spirits Within was really unsuccessful... For a good reason, I own it on VHS and have never watched it.
But Advent Children was still neat to watch, if you just kinda forgot that it was based off of FFVII and was just some random story about random people living in a post-apocalyptic future. |

| A flurry of knives flew out at the salad bars, slicing them into bulky pieces as Axel clomped forward, reaching into his pack and throwing out knife after knife at the wall of salad. Cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes flew everywhere, and bits of viral data splattered over the tiles of the cafeteria as the army of Prinnies retreated back into the kitchens.
Axel: "Get this mess cleaned up, pronto!" Prinnies: "Ho, dood!" They shuffled away, and cleared out the tables and chairs that weren't destroyed in the chaos that had just erupted within the space of a few seconds. Efficiency! Axel said nothing, and drew out a pair of knives that looked better suited for gutting velociraptors than fish. He held them in a foolish pose, their oversized blades making him seem smaller by comparison. He did not, suffice it to say, look very intimidating at all. Still, he stood at the ready. Axel: "I'm sick of appetizers, dood! Time for a main course!" Axel zoomed forward with inpenguin speed, his peg legs drumming against the floor tiles in a fast cadence. He tore through Pie's wall of salad bars and went straight for the heart of the artichoke, swinging both knives forward and launching a blast of cutting wind at the infectious fighter to cut off his concentration -- and his head! | The first one felt too disneyish for my taste, but it wasn't bad... Just not enough "Pillage, plunder, sack, loot, drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!" for me. It wasn't too shabby a film, though.
The second one doesn't look too appetizing to me, especially considering the crap I've had to deal with in selling POTC-based toys in recent weeks. I've heard that it's a terrible film, I've heard it's a good film, and unless I have some kind of major incentive (a date, a big friendsy thingie, gunpoint), I probably won't see it. Since most of those things either already happened or aren't likely to happen, I think waiting til it comes to video is gonna be my route. |

But for the time being, I'll just say that no, it really doesn't. It's kinda like us calling knuck a ped or me calling mono an ass. It's not necessarily true, but at the same time it's sort of the default derogatory term when you can't think of something else to say to someone. |

This doesn't warrant a close at all, but it IS a very good reminder that piracy is a bad, bad thing, ladies and gents. If anyone DOES happen to post some poorly-thought-out links, then we can get some wrath going... EDIT: To clarify, S&T, The rule itself is to not post links to warez or ROMs on the board. Discussion of them is fine and dandy. If it weren't how could the entire ROM Hacking community exist? Nevertheless, it is a bit of an annoyance to have to watch for links here and there. | Well, I think I said this already, but the Thyroid is a gland in your neck that regulates the distribution of growth hormones in your body. It's not quite cancer, but it is a pretty big annoyance.
This is, of course, assuming I actually HAVE any kind of infection. Keep in mind, results haven't come in just yet. |

| Well, I still wanna buy a Wii this winter, but I gotta admit, Assassin's Creed looks very pretty, and I can't resist a Metal Gear Solid game. But I can't afford 600 bucks! Or 500, at that. I don't really care so much about hardware specs, or media devices, to me it's about the games, the fun, and the kicking Kyouji's ass up and down the street in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
I program in Java, mostly. That'd be because it's the only language I've learned thus far in a way that allows me to really use it correctly. Even then, I have little to no knowledge of the language's deeper parts, though I'll be learning about it in later classes when I go back to college. I'm also looking at Sukasa's ASM tutorial as he writes it. I figure that could come in handy... |
