Grey held his weapon out in front of him in a guard stance, the shadowy attack flying at him from point blank. A parry was the best he could hope for.

As Grey's bat divided the shadow ball into a pair of explosive halves, he was forced into a rather precarious position by the two swords that flew at him. With the rocking detonation of the shadow ball flinging him several tens of feet backwards, Grey was dumbstruck by the loss of his footing and through nothing more than sheer luck managed to avoid being beheaded by the flying pointy objects. They flew over his head as he dropped flat to the ground, now in a prone position. Thinking as quickly as he could, Grey pointed behind himself from the ground, and cast an astral image of himself backwards, tricking the last of the blades into thinking they were slashing a real person.

Grey's mental focus wavered a bit as he felt the drowsiness of the shadow ball's explosive rage begin to overtake him, and he considered the prospect of sleep for several moments before remembering the existence of that single final blade, and realizing the severe danger a quick nap, though helpful to his psyche, would put his body into.

Instead, he placed his hands together, and tried his best to focus as he got very slowly to his feet.

Evan: "Tch... Battleground. It's all about fighting with you 'modern' warriors. You've got no respect for the art, and even less respect for the area. Fight, fight, fight, that's all you want to do."

He cracked his knuckles. It was clear that his size was considerably greater than that of Sky's, and like the trademark meatsack, he tried to use this fact against Sky...

"I've already asked you once to get out of my ruins. I've got a damn good reason to be here, and you sure as hell don't. You'd best leave before I make you leave. And I will make you leave."

Slate's pursuit of Janus is almost instantly thwarted... Janus takes a quick look to his side, notes the warrior approaching from a distance, and mutters something...

...And then disappears.

Several seconds later, he's at Crystal Psipalace's front door. Let Schwa deal with one of his little friends, Janus thought.

He could wait.

IY: Well, I was never in favor of the war in the first place... I'd much rather see what troops we have out there come home. I'm of the view that there's no good side to the war, but at the same time we can't just not support the troops out there because we don't support the war itself. People are dying, we have to have hope that they come home safe.

Thoughtless: No, I have not. What's it about?

As a side note, a morning after pill is standard treatment for when raped women go in for examination in order to both ID the rapist and ensure that the woman hasn't incurred any other kinds of damage (STDs, internal injuries). That's how we roll in the good old blatantly liberal state of RI.

So unfortunately for all of the anti-pill screaming that's going on out there, there's not much say in the matter since the pill is SOP for rape inquisition unless the woman insists upon it not being administered, in which case it is an automatic invocation of pro-choice ideals. This is actually how rape treatment goes in several places.

As such, rape is officially out of the game on the abortion issue... At least, it is here in Rhode Island.

Anya: It's 'cause I'm the son of the son of the son of God.

Sky: I've seen what alcohol can do to people. It brings out the worst in men and women alike, my family has a history of alcoholism, and frankly, I have better things to do with my time than drink.

Colleen: Red.

Thoughtless: Yes. On and off. I've seen the first two seasons, nothing really beyond that, but I do think it's incredibly funny. As for that Kingdom Come, I think the story's a little wtf, but I like the art style quite a bit. Most modern DC is like that, I've noticed... And for better or worse, it's benefitted them. I'm still a Marvel man at large, though.

You don't do it at all.

Surveys and psychological studies have shown that masturbation actually has no ill effects...

It actually has a higher correlation with marital sexual satisfaction and overall relationship satisfaction. It is more common among the educated, and about 90% of America has at one point fantasized in a sexual manner about someone else. Presumably while masturbating.

Which means, of course, that 10% of all Americans are filthy liars.

Seriously; seeing that clip, I'd think that (whilst playing as my usual Mario,) I'd just grab 'em and throw 'em away.
And they could just quickly dash backwards and smash you on your approach

Seriously, wave-dashing is no be-all end-all, but to discount it entirely is just... Ridiculous. I mean, if it was really pointless, why would so many people use it? And you can't tell me characters like Luigi ande Mewtwo don't benefit greatly from wavedashing for greater speed and maneuverability. The greatest use, however, is likely for mind-games... And they kind-of don't show up in video too well, so I can see why you would be confused. But... Eh. Yeah, it's quite useful.

Well, yeah, but Mewtwo isn't exactly the awesome beyond awesome character that Luigi is... and Luigi can easily use his other skills to defeat foes.

Which means, well, yes, I can tell you that they don't benefit greatly from increased speed and maneuverability. The mind games are only good against human opponents who are willing to play down, by which I mean lower their level of play to that of their opponents'. It's a lot like in fencing, where a class A fencer can still lose to a newbie if the newbie flails around a lot. If you play along with a dasher's mind games, you're gonna be wasting too much time trying to figure out their next move to just run in and smash them while they're being fancy. A good old bat to the face is always enough in a pinch, you don't need fancy moves if you have enough skill in other areas.

Then again, you play as Marth when you want to play Vs. Match on Easy Mode. I guess I can't really say much about being fancy or skillful.

Oh dude, FINALLY someone mentions this! This is like my BIGGEST Christian wtf.

Why, in any considerable manner, does Judas get the short end of the stick? God has a plan for everyone. (okay, since I clearly misworded this, time to edit: )Presumably if God has a plan for everyone, and Jesus died, it would follow that God's plan for Jesus was to die. Jesus died because Judas betrayed him. Judas assisted in fulfilling God's plan for Jesus, and in doing so fulfilled his own plan, which, by the idea of the divine plan, would mean he was doing God's bidding by doing something that God ordinarily wouldn't like.

So where's Judas now? 9th circle. Good game, God.

The Inferno is not part of the bible for a reason man.

(Shhh.... People believe in Dante as much as they do in the bible, man)

As for my statement about Jesus' plan to die, I meant that God's plan for Jesus was for him to die. Like, the whole idea of free will versus divine plan gets to me.

Really, anything else I said was just to spark some debate.

EDIT: I think you'll find my initial post to be changed to better reflect my feelings on the situation.

OOC: I didn't ignore your attack, geographically speaking Janus and Slate were several thousand miles away from CPP, and Janus just... you know, crossed those thousands of miles in an instant.

It only took a few minutes for the missiles to catch up to him. The long-lost warrior was fairly surprised at Slate's tracking skills, but ultimately did nothing as the missiles slammed into what looked like a purple wall of pure force. They exploded violently, taking a piece of the long bridgeway that stuck out from the flying temple out into the air and down towards the ground. Not one hundred feet away from the castle, however, the blocks from the bridge disintegrated into a puff of purple smoke.

Janus reached out with his thoughts...

Janus (thinking) : 'Schwa, it's good to talk to you again. It's been a long time for me. Your friends seem a bit hostile. I hope my welcoming party isn't going to be so bad, even with the news I bring... I'll tell you more if you meet me here at the Palace. It's best that you and all of the Psi Warriors present hear what I have to say.'

---------------

Evan leapt, making inhuman leaps and bounds, as he headed north from his ruins in Mexico. He had a lot of ground to cover in a very short period of time, and even Shen wasn't important enough for him to miss this moment.

They had gathered a lot of shards. Could they gather the rest in time?

There wasn't any time to ponder that. He could only hope he got to where he needed to go in time...
