| Spring: Java.
Summer: Work my ass off, hang around with my friends, possibly go to Virginia, most definitely go to Wisconsin and meet DV, work my ass off some more, considering taking summer courses at URI, and basically whatever I can think of doing at the time. Probably something involving Mutants and Masterminds. Awesome game, that. Or The Burning Wheel. |

But then, he heard Thomas laughing maniacally. 'Hrm...' he thought, 'laughter's usually... a good thing... Considering we've just been attacked by those monsters...' Sigmund sagged against the wall of the cave. He'd need a little more time alone before he could confront them all again. |

He turned his back on the three of them, and strode to the front of the train, where the conductor was waiting for him. Johnathan showed his deliveryman's boarding pass, and was granted access after a quick glance at the conveniently-provided picture. He found himself an empty room in one of the boarding cars, and placed himself down in the corner of the room, staring out the window at the pastures that rolled alongside the train. 'Miss Hikari,' he thought, 'I do hope you are not pushing yourself too hard in your condition.' The train's whistle blew, and the final calls for passengers were made. Johnathan closed his eyes, and dozed off... |

Sigmund clutched at his chest. A pain there, now? Had he already become so old that he couldn't take something like this? True, he had cut things close to the wire. Another week or so and he might have been too far gone to go, but why now, of all times? Maybe he had pressed himself too hard over the past few days. That head injury didn't exactly help his case, either. Sigmund grunted as he tried to concentrate on the moment. In another few minutes, he'd have the strength to go on, his heart wouldn't be so weak anymore... Just another few minutes, and he could rest. The last stage was autonomous. THIS was the hard part. The glow on his wrist became a little bit brighter, as something embedded deep within his skin started to shine in the darkness. |

*ahem* Mr. Kirbynite: I would very much like to be a Kangaroo Rat, as they are very cool looking, and I would hoard as much food as possible and run 'round and go squeek squeek. Also, my rodentia status would confer upon me the sweet-ass ability to hit it off with a certain extremely sexy mouse that I happen to know. Skydude: I have met Toxic, Foom, Valcion, and Aduin.  They all lived down the street from me at one point.

| Grey crouched down, ducking the first of the initial three slashes. For the second, he pushed a palm forward and another hit of telekinetic force knocked it away. Still in his crouch, Grey shifted his body to the side and watched as the third sword cut a deep gash in his chest. Instinctively, he reacted quickly, shouting in pain and springing upward as his baseball bat faded into nothingness, while at the same time evading the skeletal arms and the second two slashes. He backflipped in the air and watched his own blood drip to the ground as he landed in a crouch, some ten or fifteen feet away.
Grey's eye twitched a bit in concentration as he held a hand to his bleeding chest, using telekinesis to hold his wound closed for a few seconds... As the second blade disappeared in that eerie pinkish mist, Grey's cut closed into a scar, and he was left panting in the wake of the slice. There wasn't much time to react! With the remaining four blades away from Jack, Grey needed to take this opportunity to move! He shut his eyes, and blinked forward, putting on a burst of psychometabolically enhanced speed that brought him straight at Jack. Still in his rushing mode, Grey pressed forward with a flurry of hits that, while haphazardly aimed and of varying levels of intensity, were still incredibly fast and furious. He even did the anime martial arts thing... Grey: "Oraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraoraora!" Yeah, that's the one. |

| Grey was knocked spinning, his reactions slowed in the midst of his ever-intensifying focus. Yet, still he persevered. His body was pelted with small fireballs, and he could feel their singes on his skin even though he was trying to ignore everything around him in concentration...
Was he still charging something up? It was hard to tell if the state of half-consciousness that he was in was induced by his own comatose psychic gatherings, or the severe beating that Shalandra was giving him... |

| Sigmund's eyes opened, and he got up. Was it over? He felt his body...
Hands were wrinkled. Forehead? Wrinkled. Beard still there. Head... He raised his hand up there, hoping and praying he wasn't still bald. His hand met with nothing but shining skin. Still a cue-ball... Sigmund: "Dammit. Dammit all..." He stood on his own feet. He didn't feel any different. Just as if he had taken a very long nap and had a full meal. Was this really the end result? Was it really permanent? He stared at his wrist... Had he at least gained that back? He concentrated, trying to remember the old feeling he felt, back when he still had it... ...and a small, crystalline object that he realized was still embedded in his wrist glowed brightly in the cave. Sigmund smiled a for-now-wrinkled smile, and began to trek back to the group. After all, Elle and Lily needed someone to protect them, and from the sounds of things, Arminas and the dumbass were going to be going at it for a good part of the way in. A few steps ahead of the cave's exit, he decided to try something. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, and his wrist glowed a teal, sterling color. And then he disappeared, grinning the whole time. | Sigmund whopped with glee as he zoomed down the path, rapidly gaining on the group of adventurers. THIS was more like it! More unseen than Cedric and feeling stronger and faster than before (at least, an hour before...), Sigmund might not even need his box if he kept recovering at this rate...
Still, something felt off... Almost as if he was missing something. Something very vital. He slowed down a bit, and felt his legs grow heavy. He slowed down a bit more, and realized that for all the power he had used, for some reason the source wasn't providing him with enough energy... He was visible again, too. Was it less powerful than before? He wagered so. Which meant that no matter what, he had effectively gained nothing but potential from this little excursion... All that time wasted, all that effort to get to Rufus, all of that risk for nothing but potential? Bah, he thought. The truly avaricious wanted instant results. Sigmund moved along at a highly normalized pace, with the group only several hundred yards ahead. He placed his mind to Lily, and to the Everlight... Maybe that would help, he thought. The camera swiveled to Sigmund, who suddenly stood in front of the group, joining them as their path melded into his. Another shady move, of course... "It's a bird, yeh see. The Lockrakokra, better called the Lock Bird by mos' researchers. Locks're a strange species of bird that've evolved over the years ta a sorta civilization in terms. If'n yeh noticed, the clothes that yeh saw 'ad tiny holes in 'em, fer the wings 'n' tails the birds've got. An' fer all their loud chirpin' and singin' while they do their laundry on the turtles, the base turtles still allow 'em ta squat on their land. Crazy stuff, eh wot?" | Grey dove into the rain of swords, expelling another radial blast of psychic force that drove them all away as he flew through and went straight towards the briars. With a loud ringing in his head, Grey felt a surge of heat overcome his body, as he lit himself on fire with a quick shock of pyrokinesis. He continued like a burning missile towards Jack, incinerating the briars and keeping his own flames several inches from his body, for fear of singing himself like only Shalandra could. At the last moment, however, he kicked himself upward from the ground (along which he traveled), and took a vertical direction. The flames dissipated, and Grey pointed two fingers towards Jack, squinting his glowing green eyes as he did so.
Grey: "PK Fire Beta!!!" The jets of fire rushed out of his fingers and at Jack, threatening to create a radius of burning fury when they managed to hit the ground. Grey lingered in the air for several seconds, and held himself aloft on a cloud of force. This was more like it, he could feel his psychic energies flowing more and more fluidly with each passing second... |

| Grey toppled over and got to his feet in a daze, causing Shalandra's knee to hit nothing but air. Grey's eyes shined bright green, and he grinned his usual maniacal grin.
It was done. Grey liked dragging things out, you see. Cinematically speaking, this was going to be very impressive. Hopefully. Moving much faster than his previously comatose state suggested, Grey leapt back from Shalandra, to give himself a few feet of extra space (and Shalandra a few feet of dodge room. Goodness knows she'd need it.) as he prepared his attack. Positioning himself in a monkish stance, Grey shouted as he pushed his right palm forward, his left arm fully extended behind him and his knees bent in a fencing lunge. He held this position for a few seconds, still shouting. |

| Ziff: I think I'd just go for the clean-shaven look. Wouldn't hurt to be as simple as possible in affairs like that...
Kirbynite: I would want very muchly to be a stuffed penguin. You can't go wrong with penguins, and at least then it'd be perfectly excusable to be small enough to cuddle in one's arms. Either that, or a white tiger because of the envy that I'd get from all the real white tigers out there that won't be hugged and snuggled by someone who loves white tigers in that sweet, symbolic fashion. |
