Steak, you rule. Let's all us singles band together and rock out to the singles groove until one of us gets a girlfriend and then suddenly we get pissed at that person for betraying us.

In other news, I have a different, non-girlfriend related reason to celebrate. It's my parents' anniversary today! Being as how it's been what, 15 years? My dad's keeping up with his tradition for the occasion. Each year for christmas, my mom's birthday, and their anniversary, he gets her an addition to her ring(valentine's day), bracelet (christmas) or necklace (birthday), and on each of the three days... she always wears her three main pieces of jewelery, all decked out with the craziness.

In other, less important news, today is Valentine's day and I wish I had a girlfriend. However, I will settle for a plethora of cheap candy on Valentine's Boxing Day.

Another good question would be for me to ask myself why I am not at the dining halls yet.

OOC: Welcome back. It's been a while. I've got some very high expectations, you know.

Grey figured he'd take a walk to Kirbynite's house today... Marble Garden was beautiful, but really, he had to get out of the house sometime. Nobody sat around and played video games all day, there had to be more to life than that.

However, as far as ideas went, Grey was pretty tapped out. So he figured maybe they could play a little Pitch-ball or something. He grabbed his Nerf gun and his yoyo, and set out along the steep slopes of the ruins to visit his strangely-accented friends.

Grey: "Life is sweet, whoa, sweet as honey... Ha-ha-ha-happy go lucky me..."

The bespectacled tweenager trudged along the grassy knolls, through the muddy wastes, over the rocky ridges, and through the crystalline caves, making sure to blunt off the spikes he had missed on his first run through. There was no reason why a traveler should worry about being hurt when they're just trying to pay a visit, he thought. Granted, a lot of the time it was useful for keeping traveling salesmen away, but on Grape Gardens? Who was brave enough to fly this high to sell a vaccum cleaner to a creature whose evolutionary purpose was to suck things into itself?

He was about to find out... Sans, you know, the vaccum cleaners.

To add a bit more lore to Steak's postage, the Valentine's day ritual in Roman Times was a day when men drew names out of a proverbial hat and decided that that woman was going to be their lover for the next year. No wine and roses there...

If Anya can't answer it, and Elmo's not up to the task, ask me. If there's anything you wanna know, or even if you're seeking a little bit of "alternative" advice, let it all out.

Bunny. Because I knew that without checking the article.

The fire part, I didn't know that.

EDIT: Found out what fire means:

Fire personalities are energetic, decisive, confident and goal-oriented. That can make them aggressive, selfish and self-centered!

Of course! Sometimes you have to mix things up a bit. It's normal to feel like sometimes people are relying on you too much when you are, in fact, providing them with some kind of service of this sort. The quick fix is to just take a break for a while. Keep in mind, though--- You established the idea of giving advice to people. There are most definitely people out there who respect your opinion to a degree where just giving up would be a letdown to them, whether you knew them or not.

Try immersing yourself in your own personal affairs, first... If you do, you may find that it's a little easier to gain insight into other peoples' lives at the same time. You, especially you, have a lot going on right now. Take care of that first.

Ziff: NO. NOT AT 3 AM.

NSNick: I figure we have a male point of view, and a female point of view, and there ARE three genders on the board... And hey, sometimes there are some questions that Anya and Elmo just can't answer amirite.

Trapster: No.

I would want to be named William. Not Bill, Will.

"Grey" as a person, I've thought of giving a last name to... Or using it as a last name. Thomas Grey? It sounds kinda elegant. William Grey as a pen name would be sweet, though. I think it's been done.

Huh... It's tempting to consider blowing RPG Eater away...

But I think I'll hold on to this for now. Pass the buck.

Well, well... A few easy questions and one wicked hard one. You're putting me through my paces and it's only my first day.

DV: No, I'm not a Eunuch.

Thoughtless: Currently, I'm into modifying Nerf guns, World of Warcraft, staying up until 4 in the morning (certain people know why >8(), music, programming, and video games. Standard geek stuff. I also like to fence Saber style, and I DO do some roleplaying and a lot of writing in my spare time. When I'm not doing that, I collect Jim's Big Ego albums and Magic: The Gathering cards.

I also enjoy musicals.

Also, I'm cool because you guys think I'm cool, which makes you all cool too.

And shit, Wurl, I CAUSED the Ice Age.

Now, Destiny Smasher. As for you...

This girl sounds like someone you could really get close to. I know the feeling, I've met some amazing people already, and I'm a freshman in college too. There are a few things you have to remember, though... You have to consider who you are in her eyes, how well you think she knows you. It's not always about how much you like her, you have to ask yourself if she even knows you exist. If you can get a date, then go for it! But whatever you do, don't be overdramatic, or try to make the situation into a bigger deal than it really is. It's a turnoff for a girl if a guy is overly ceremonious (by overly ceremonious I mean takes every little thing as though it's the most amazing thing that they've ever experienced: that's ok once in a while. Not all the time.). You're still young: You have to remember that above all else. College is a time for having fun and learning, too. It's not a time to think about settling down or the terrifying thought of getting into a serious long term relationship. It IS, however, still nice to have someone to spend your time with. Consider that, too.

Oddly enough, this actually isn't one of those "follow your heart" situations. Stand down for a while, it's definitely a poor idea to be persistent. You're right to want to build a friendship first. In fact, you're right to just want to build a friendship. A lot of the time, it's best to see if the two of you 'click' as personalities. You really want to be with someone that you can talk to as a friend, as an equal, not that you idolize like a goddess or put on any sort of pedestal. Baaaaad decision, right there.

Bussed to canada twice. Once to Toronto, once to Montreal. Bussed to Cleveland once, Baltimore once, drove to New York three times, New Jersey once, flew to Florida twice, and New Hampshire three times.

Farthest I've ever driven in a car? Sudbury, MA.

All from Rhode Island. I'd wager that's around 5-6000 total miles.

Grey: "Yeah, and he wants a cup of sugar! Oh, hey Draco. S'up?"

Grey, too, had walked the distance between his residence and Kirbynite's house... The difference, however, was that he was constantly staring at his watch. He counted down from about four or five, and suddenly a green shield of psychic energy bubbled around him as the aforementioned explosion of soil kicked dirt literally over the Nite house and all over him and Draco.

"Ah, that must be that experiment Gooey had mentioned. Right on time, too."

Grey had a thing for cute little gadgets that didn't serve much purpose, so naturally he was enamored by Gooey's constant need to invent things that made very little sense to have in the Neo Grape Gardens setting.

He also liked the way Gooey talked. It made so much sense!

Sion: You're a million feet of awesome. A million and one if that's Iori.

Tomato: You can usually tell by the way he looks at you and interacts with you. If he overdoes things, tries way too hard to be with you, he either really really really cares about you or else he just wants into the pants. Usually it's the second one. If he doesn't struggle to talk to you, he's probably not just infatuated. Like, if you can actually form a connection with him. There are other tricks, but usually you have to go with your gut feeling on a guy.

Pay attention to what your friends say about him, too. I can honestly tell you, if all of your friends have it out for your current boyfriend and you can't see what's wrong with him, chances are you may be blinded by your affection for him to realize something they don't. Bottom line is, they've not steered you wrong before, so don't expect them to this time.

I'll tell you... I've seen some good girls get dumped by some very bad men. I'd rather not see it ever happen again.

And speaking of good girls, DV, I'd like to note that yes, it is your fault and yes, you can help it. I'm just hoping you don't.

And he's right, it's a million feet of awesome.
