Well, I thought about it before you even mentioned it, Kutske, and the idea of whoring myself out isn't exactly an appealing on--- wait, "Back in the day..."?

I can't give up the car, it's the only way of getting to work or home that I have, and there aren't any conveniently-placed nursing homes that I can work at to help care for old people.

My real aim here is just to have either the work I do circumvent the cost that it requires to actually attend, or to work several jobs, one of which is TRU and another of which is closer, or pays enough so that I can get there on time, or that isn't a restaurant. I've worked in restaurants for almost five years, it's the worst line of work there is, and I wouldn't exactly trade my soul for a job in the food service industry again. It's not worth the stress and the pay isn't exactly amazing.

Still, there are some things I should be saving up for... I might have to bend and break soon enough. But my older sister works at a restaurant constantly, and she never seems to have any money. Ever. I wonder where it all goes...

Grey: "Whoop, this might be a good time for Teddylot to get hopped up on shrooms to ease that pain..."

He hurls his at the piratebear, and we all know what time it is...

There's a loud burst of music, and Grey suddenly begins a conga line!

"EVERYBODY MAMBO!!!"

DDR Timing window: | |
ITG Window comparison: |

|

I believe that says it. Though I wish I were exaggerating...

EDIT: Oh, to actually add some content to this post and give you an idea of just how screwed up the timing is for ITG, I played HVAM on a DDR Machine that had its timing configured to be similar to ITG's. And I FC'd it. Now, if you're Hiryuu, you know I don't FC HVAM. It just doesn't happen. So yeah, ITG goes from "Oh, well, I just got off DDR, the songs that look around my difficulty level are pretty easy" to "Wow, this is ridiculously hard. I sure do wish I were playing DDR right now".

Long versions rule.

I believe a proper canon excuse for the tail seeming to be there for no reason is that it became vestigial when the pokemorphs went from being animals that actually needed it to balance to humanoids (who, of course, can walk on two feet without one).

Gawd, Kyouji, you just don't have anything nice to say about these at all...

Then again, looking at it again, I think a slight bend to her figure, so that she doesn't really seem as... you know, flat...ish in the front and possibly making the tail more slender would benefit the picture quite a bit. The face and addition of the gloves, however, is excellent. Both are perfect touches for the portrait. I don't quite get as much attitude from this as I do from the other two, though. Just a single static trait, if that can even be described...

Yeah, regularly.

Hoho, I remember the lovely night right before my math final, my roommates were playing WoW while I tirelessly worked on my late math assignments until 4 in the morning. I tried to get some sleep. Didn't work out.

I DID, however, get a B+. In a class that I had technically already taken.

There's also LAN parties, which usually send me home at about 10 in the morning anyway. I'll just sleep til about 2, stay up til the end of the day, and then get back to regular sleep stuffs.

Speaking of sleep, I should do some of that before my first class...

Is it bad for the other person that I beat a warrior that was only one level below me in a duel without actually moving?

EDIT: I'm a shadow priest, too... Dunno if that means anything. I probably have some huge advantage against warriors that nobody's told me about.

Grey: "Not just yet! I'm still waiting for one more scheduled attendant. I would suggest that anyone who wants to get in contact with him and tell him to come and participate do so. Now. Before we all get impatient."

He continued floating there, and his hands slowly closed around a small device that he had concealed in his pocket, far and away, and very well guarded against any kind of interference...

Hah, you jumped to 2099? Jeez, I gotta wonder how different the place looks...

I'm running day to day. There's no way for me to go Wi-Fi, so giving you all my friend code would be redundant, since, well, I don't have one. Not til I shell out the 35 to get my hands on a Nintendo USB, that is. Anyway, I've still got the game, and I gotta know...

What's the deal with the coffeehouse? What's it for?

Charmander because statistically Charizard was supposed to be the most powerful of the three in raw damage in the original pokemon game (though Bulbasaur had the best type advantage for the storyline and Squirtle had more well-rounded stats). Also, he was just too damn cute.

Originally though, before I took strategy into consideration or any kind of appeal or anything, the game book said Bulbasaur was best. So I took him and realized when Gary kept beating my ass down that he was probably a poor choice.

JOLTEON!!! AND SUCH.

OOC: .....Wrong thread? Iunno, let the games begin!

Grey stared down at the ground. There was the little card shark now...

Grey: "Alright, guys... We're all good. Get ready to play! On your marks!"

Grey whipped out a small remote control with a pair of buttons on it, one red, one green. He paused...

Grey: "Oh, by the way, guys..."

There was a mad grin on his face as his finger poised over the red button. He floated over a street on the side of the board's building, thousands of feet in the air.

"This is my latest little device, it's called a levelizer. When I hit this button, I can guarantee you, you'll be seeing the world in a whole new light. Colors will become brighter, the wind will blow harder, the skies will be clearer, everything will just scream MORE! Like there's a whole world out there for you to explore!

Mind you, there are a few repercussions... As you've got to start from scratch somewhere, all of your existing superpowers have temporarily been turned..."

He jammed his thumb down on the red button, and immediately the psychic aura around him disappeared as he began a death-drop to the ground, courtesy of good old Gravity.

"OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!........"

As Grey plummeted down the 1337-foot drop off the top of the Acmlm's Board building, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his bag of toys...

Grey threw out a yoyo strap, wrapped it around a lamppost, and swung to the top of the lamppost, sliding down to safety and beckoning for the rest of the now-powerless battlers to follow. Let's see them be resourceful, he thought. Little did they know that the nullification was not so much physical as it was psychological: They'd have to find some kind of alternative to playing the game until they rediscovered their abilities on their own. Grey stared up at Nijote, who had been shoved out of the shadows by an unseen force. With her natural strength and agility, she'd be fine, but what about the rest of them? Grey sighed. Finding a purple cat wouldn't be too hard, but actually catching something that agile was going to be tough.

Grey looked up at the combatants, and giggled as he shouted up at them. He whipped out a small microphone, and his voice could be heard clearly over a conveniently-placed loudspeaker that rang out across the rooftop...

“Ha, it’s a sub-game! Get the device back from me, or else you won’t be playing with your powers until then! Hell, destroy it if you have to! In the meantime, I’m going to count to ten and start running! I suggest you hide...”

Grey held the remote out in an obvious hand, clearly exposed to all who wanted their powers back, and counted…

“Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five...”

‘I’m willing to bet that Slur lady’s gonna try to blast this thing with a buster, first chance she gets…’ Grey thought as he counted down. ‘But I’m ready for her… Anyone who hits this remote is gonna be wide open to become it! Let’s see how they handle this…’

Number of Rounds until all abilities have been re-enabled: 5 (this number will be instantly shifted to 0 if Grey is successfully hit while in a non-"It" state).

Evan: "Shen! Shennnn!!!!"

Evan called out over the crowd of people, who were obviously unaffected by the sudden blast of realism that had overcome the city. She was so much smaller than him, and so much smaller than the crowd... Finding her, especially without her soul sight to track him, would be nearly impossible...

------------------

Kalar: "Guhh... This is... so needlessly heavy... CO2 Tanks and galvanized titanium? Who the hell... was stupid enough... to design an arm like this..."

Kalar dragged his arm and leg through the city as crowds of people stopped and gawked at what appeared, for all respects and purposes, to be a cybernetic hobo leaning on a very un-sticklike walking stick. Several people had already stopped and asked him if he needed help, but he had fervently declined, ever since he and Garro had decided to split up. They were slow, but they'd cover more ground that way. Besides, as time passed, Kalar noticed he was getting more and more used to the weight that was on his entire right side.

A voice: "-ell, destroy it, if you have to!"

Kalar stopped, and strained to pick himself up. That was most definitely Grey's voice. He looked past a sea of heads to where the man might be, but only saw the top of his crown before, after a short count of ten, the young man sprinted off at a fairly realistic speed, throwing out a yo-yo and using it to swing to the top of a low-roofed building.

Kalar: "Fuck."

Grey: "Can we just kinda ditch anyone who doesn't immediately follow after us? Seems like spending all of our time dicking around has gotten us almost killed by a punk rock alligator detective, while the overly powerful seemingly-apparent leader of this whole operation forges on ahead and leaves us in his dust."

He figured for a few seconds and exhaled. The excess air in his bubble swizzled out onto the surface of the water, and Grey himself continued to speak in his muffled tone.

"If you don't like this guy, I'm guessing you have a darn good reason for it, but right now, we need all the help we can get."

Kalar: "Testament!!!"

In an homage to another scythe-wielder, Kalar waved his arm upward at one of the Garos that had been revealed in Kirbynite's bubbly assault, as a wash of inky black formed a gaping maw behind him and threatened to consume him. It splashed down, covering the Garo in darkness...

...and there was nothing there when the pool disappeared back into the night.

Enjoying his rather small victory, Kalar and ran his mechanical arm through his hair, only to have a trio of triangular ninja knives embed themselves in its thick outer plating. He raised a slight eyebrow in alarm and took note of the various pairs of eyes that glared out at him.

"Hrm, that's not good..."

He looked over at his Deku-depleted ally, and felt the sudden urge to inform him of this situation.

"Ah, Kirb? There's more of them coming..."
