| It's come to my attention that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of a modeled template for approval in this forum, and that a great many users will just register, ask to be approved, and then be instantly (and automatically) denied by that extremely sexy robot maid that Xkeeper keeps around, either due to the fact that they do not seem to understand what needs to be done to be approved, or due to the fact that they are in blatant violation of the rules.
Therefore, as I am quite a joker when it comes to shaking my e-heinie in Alastor's face, I will submit a request for approval that outlines the necessary requirements for what I hope is approval. The joke will be on me if I, a member of the almighty staff of the board, am summarily denied. --------------- Good day. My name is Thomas C "Grey" Mitchell. I am a college student at the University of Rhode Island, and have some experience in programming and algorithm design in several programming languages, such as Java, PHP, Scheme, and LISP. I am somewhat familiar with ASM and Hexidecimal, though I admittedly could use some more training in the use of both in my hacking prowess. I am a would-be hacker that aspires to learn more: I have extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the SNES game Earthbound, and have reached a personal compromise in that because I know how to hack Earthbound, I will never be able to learn to hack any other game due to the unique design of the code. Nevertheless, I wish to gain approval in the ROM Hacking forum in order for the possibility of posting several ideas I have for a hack of the aforementioned game to lay open, should I ever desire to rekindle my love for the art. Please consider my request, and present it and other examples as possibilities for members of the board who wish to attain the same goal to work off of. Thank you for your time. |

Evan's arms continued to hold Shen close as the hulking man drew closer to his destination. His footfalls sunk into the soft earth as the world around him greyed in and out of focus. Shen's breathing became regular and irregular as she drifted in and out of consciousness, her strength still sapped. The care that Evan had given could only last for so long, and he felt himself tiring once again...

Still, he trudged. He had felt a familiar presence on this world, one that scared and intrigued him. It was one he had not felt in some years, and he had almost forgotten it. --------------- "Your father was a great man..." --------------- Only three people in existence at the moment knew what happened on the fateful day that Kalar became the monster that had destroyed the once noble world that our heroes had resided upon. Four people, actually, had understood the events in their entirety, but only three had lived to tell about it. The first was, naturally, Kalar himself. The harbringer of the world's destruction, he was the one responsible for enveloping the world in darkness, becoming a tool that was used and cast aside for so little. His scythe had cut the strings that bound the darkness in his heart, and he had confused it for the power of shadow that he researched. Rather than a simple power that existed in the absence of light, the power he had discovered had consumed light, and brought his will to its knees... The second was Grey. He had felt the surge of darkness that erupted from Kalar, and, like the fool he was, practiced noninterference until the end. Even as the Pasttime surged, he ignored the call of duty and stayed in his sanctuary. It was too late in the end, and yet beyond the fate that was handed to him, he had no regrets. The third and fourth, we will discover in time... --------------- Evan's covered face held a quiet grin as he drew closer. He had remembered this feeling. It was akin to going home again... But where was home for him? He hadn't remembered that yet. The transformation from Nobody back to his old self had still left him unable to comprehend certain events. It was as though he felt more than thought, having been deprived of emotion for so long. In the distance, miles away, a small cottage lay in the middle of a quiet grove. Upon Evan's back, Satchel pushed the man gently along, guiding him to the cottage, for it was there where the next leg of his very strange and extensive journey would begin. It was there that a golden-haired young woman waited for what was already an eternity...

Doc, I want you to accept the fact that shit happens and that you can't just take an "I don't care" routine with this, because if you do, then you'll just end up drawing more fire, because you cared enough to make the fact that you supposedly don't care known. I'll take this as "you don't care" if you stop antagonizing the situation. Clockworkz, while you're being very valiant here and I appreciate what you're saying, I need you to stop as well. This entire argument shouldn't be had on this venue, beause the board deserves some peace and quiet after what happened last night. Cy, the assvibrator crack will stay, but for christ's sake, just stop for a moment and look at what you're doing. This isn't the Cy I know, the Cy I know is smart and resourceful and likes peace and rocking out to Rammstein. Bring that Cy back.
