| If you like Elliot Smith, I'd recommend Ben Fold's Five and Bright Eyes. Ben Fold's Five forcuses more on the musical aspect of hopelessness (listen to "Brick"), with melodic piano lines, soft bass and drums and stirring vocals. Bright Eyes is more driven by poetry and Conor Oberst's voice than the guitars behind it.. some songs he's written are really really out there. I'd suggest "No Lies, Just Love" by Bright Eyes. Damien Rice is soft to, kind of reminds me of Elliot Smith in a way.. but his music kind of makes me want to sleep moreso than ponder to it. | |||

| Okay, I'm a sick loser and I use AIM too much. When you have to space between paragraphs in AIM, you need to use shift+enter.. so I end up always doing it by default.
On the board, when this happens. My text gets confined to a space that's like 10 pixels wide in a column that goes all the way down the page. I just wanted to know if there was a real reason for this... or if it was just a strange strange bug? [edit]  See, like this post. The text get's all.. messed up. | Well, I finally got a chance to use my new recording equiptment. Or rather, I finally figured it all out.. and I made my first recording on it. The quality is a SHITLOAD better than the preveious recordings. Those with an ear for this stuff will notice that I didn't add any reverb to anything, and that I didn't mix the levels quite right.. but there's a reason for that. It's still saved on my mixing board.. and I'm going to go back and add bass, and probably piano to this song.. and at the end when I'm na-na-na-ing by myself, I'm going to have people singing with moi. So yeah.. hah.
Basically, I need to know what you think about the core of the song. As it stands there's two acoustic guitars and my vocal track. It's very raw. | That is very very very strange. As I'm seeing it, it's all squished up in a tiny tiny little column. I'm using mozilla.. version, um.. when I hover over the icon is says (2). So uh, version 2? .. Maybe. I kind of suck at this whole computer thing.
But yeah, all my posts look severely messed up to me. It's more of a random thing though. Okay, there's an example of what I'm talking about here:

| I'm not saying that Saddam wasn't oppressive. And obviously we can't attack China because they have us literally by the balls with all the money we owe them, and not even that just the sheer amout of people that are in China it'd be a suicide mission. There are reasons we put up with China, as well as Venezuela and they're related to bussiness issues. (Venezuelen oil and such). I'm saying that if this administration really cares about preserving democracy, why are we saying that it's alright for some countries to oppress their people.. and on the other hand with some countries it's completely 100% immoral and wrong.
This foreign policy makes all Americans look imperialistic and money hungry. In relation to the war, it looks the same way. Are people ultimatly giving up their lives for a profit, or are people truly fighting for freedom? It's the question of.. why are we fighting? |

| Do you think it's a natural animal instinct to destroy competition? Because, if Aliens came here and they were more advanced and everything... I think some people would want to take them out simply because they would feel threatened. And if aliens came here, would the want to be peaceful or would they try and destroy us? That interests me. Maybe in their societies there is no such thing as mercy... or on the other hand there could be no such theory as destruction. Maybe they have completely different sets of emotions than us. Lifeforms could exist at many different mental capacities, which is why the thought of aliens interests me so much. If they evolved from microorganisms like we did... is it possible that there are multiple planets just like ours with very similar life forms? Like, another planet developing the exact same way this one has?
This is what I ponder when I look at the stars. There is so much we don't know about life.. but if someone doesn't sit here and think about it, we'll never know. Uh, not saying I'm going to find any answers.. that'd be silly.. but if everyone sat and thought and experimented.. and this was encouraged, we'd know a lot more about our universe. |

And I have the lyrics.. Oh yes, my sister wrote the second verse.. so props to her on that [= "You Should Know" When I start to feel a little lonely signs headed west look better when I start to hum this song I know I'm not the only one. | Uhm, it's certainly not dishonest.
I find the guys I typically like will never in a million years approach me and tell me they like me. I don't know what it is. So, the only way I've found out if a guy likes me or not... is to tell them that I think they're "really cool" and that we should "Hang out sometime". If they say yes.. they usually like you. It's hard to outright tell someone you like them, so you shuold take the route of just getting to know them better.. and if they let you.. well it works. Also, telling some guys that you really really like them alot.. scares the poop out of them for some reason. At least, that's happened twice with me. If you want to tell a guy you like them.. I find the letter approach to be quite nice. Like, write them a note explaining how you feel.. be discriptive and honest.. and on paper, you can get down everything you want to say.. exactly how you say it. This way the conversation doesn't end up being: "Hi".. "Hi"...... (void of silence)... "ILIKEYOUALOT!!!"/// "Oh."... (void of silence). And most guys are usually nice enough to either write back.. or talk to you about the note. Just make sure you're close with said guy before giving him the note.. otherwise you might come off stalkerish. So uh.. yeah. My advice is that it's not weird for the girl to be the first one to talk to the guy.. at all. In fact I'd say that happens more often than the guy being the one to talk to the girl.. strangely enough. |

| Drive through for shizzle. It depends on my mood... right now = drive through. Once my friends and I tried to walk through the drive through.. just to see if it could be done. It can't. We yelled at them because we were on wheels, we had rollerblades on. Psht.. losers at taco bell.

| I think I figured it out. It has to do with the insanely weird loading my computer does. Like, if these pages load right... my layout looks alright.. but if it stops loading for some reason, it's messed up.
That's the best I can explain it. I was just worried that maybe my tables were messing up the board, or there was some sort of strange bug. That doesn't seem to be the case though.. It still happens for me.. but I'll just deal with the ugly if it's not affecting other people. |

| I used to never was my hands. Now I always do in public, because yeah... I realized that public bathrooms are GROSS. I don't wash my hands at home. In fact, I'll even run the water some times to make it seem like I'm washing my hands... but I'm not.
