Wiccans have a wide vast array of beliefs that can't be encompassed in one definition. There are ritualistic wiccans... highly ritualistic.. and there are wiccans who simply accept the core beliefs and kind of go and do their own thing with it. I am from the latter pool.

To be wiccan you accept that there are forces at work which you can identify with. You have control over what you do, and how you effect people. Personally, I identify with reincarnation and have alot of Buddhist beliefs. I believe in spirit guides... and if you aren't paying close enough attention.. you won't realize that they're trying to help you out.. in very subtle ways. I have a great respect for the perfectness of nature... I value all walks of life (animals, people, even trees and flowers)... and I recognize that there are forces at work in nature that affect us on a subconcious level (the patterns of the moon, the path of the sun.. and of course, even the stars).

Because I believe in Spirit Guides, I believe they can help you guide your life. They want to give you hints and help you.. but they can't like talk to you... obviously. So, Tarot Cards and other tools of divination make sense to me... because they're a way for you to connect to some sort of higher being who can guide you. In a way. Or, maybe I'm just reading too much into probability. I'm doubtful of that though.. considering how accurate readings can be.

I prefer this religion.. because you have CONTROL over it. There isn't some fluffy being that you can't relate or connect to telling you what to do, how to pray... and is pretty much stone cold. Being a Wiccan... I can reach deep down and feel around for what I really really truely believe.. and there's no one to tell me that it's wrong or sinful. Because I believe in reincarnation.. I think people have an innate idea of what happens after death.. they just have to feel around for it and feel it in their soul.

And if you don't think that spirit guides, respect for nature, reincarnation and astrology/moon worship AREN'T ancient ideas... you're in la la land. I don't know what you've been reading.

I'm sick of people gasping in horror when they find out I'm Wiccan. Or calling me a nutjob. Stop.

How can you tell if a guy REALLY cares about you... or they just are kind of in lust with you?

Details: Been seeing this guy for about a month. We hooked up once over the summer. We both slept out.. met at a beach.. crashed there.. there was pot involved, and lots of cuddling.. kissing and the like. One of the best nights ever. Basically, I was scared of having a relationship at that point.. so we hung out one more time.. it was good.. and I ended it. This whole school year I've liked him.. and we've been friends. Fast forward to a month ago. We really started to hang out again... and we kissed one day. We've been togheter ever since... but he's never asked me out.. it's not official.. whatever. We agreed that the "rules" of a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship apply... but he still doesn't call me his girlfriend. I think he's scared of getting too involved after what happened last time.

On top of that, this past week he's been kind of distant. I can tell he's just trying to keep the chase.... but I HATE IT. He's been like... soo frustrating. Just the way he's been acting. I just can't tell if he really cares about me or he just like lusts me. When we hung out two days ago... we talked, had fun... and then we were messing around for about an hour. I dunno, it was cool.. but I just can't shake the feeling that he's only in it for the messing around part.

Just, how can you tell? What are the signs? Is he just being distant because he's scared of getting too involved cause I hurt him in the past.... or is he being lusty and dickish?

(Yeah, I'm confused)

Porn isn't that big of a deal.

I don't know why everyone here is calling it a serious addiction. Does it hurt anyone? No. The women who are in porn WANT TO BE IN PORNOS. And if you're so insecure that you consider your significant other watching porn as cheating on you..... you don't deserve to be in a relationship. I'm sorry. You have some major trust issues.

People spend more money on videogames than porn. That's more of an addiction financially speaking. People are addiction to consumption. You have to have your cellphone, iPod, Xbox, TV, new computer.... technology is a far more expensive addiction than porn.

Porn = not bad. In fact, masturbation is healthy. You get the horny out... so you're not pressuring people into having sex with you. Because, it's a basic animal instinct... that's not going to go away. No matter how much god hates masturbation.

Yeah, it's funny.

But that movie in general is pretty disturbing. Especially when they're singing like a mickey mouse song and are killing people. Stanley Kubrick is an effing genious. (Clockwork Orange anyone?)..
