Rushuna looked at her hands. She was another one in the minority as well. She was not sure what she was, but the only thing she could figure out was she some sort of half-elf. With her skin color being dark, she could be a dark elf.. or a drow.. or.. something. There were so many names for someone with her appearance that she just gave up trying to figure out what she was. However, that did not matter now. She was now sure what she would be dealing with when the train reaches its destination. She could run from normal people.. But now... All she wants is to just find the person who added a burden to her life and then move on. |

| Coo: Watch where you aim that bloody arse!
Kirby was just about to sit down when he realized he was being shoved by his avian friend. Kirby: Gack! Hey! You're not supposed to be talking! Coo: Didn't you hear that bloody bear running amock!? -------------------------- Rushuna, who almost fell asleep again, twitched when she heard a startling banging noise right next to her. She quietly groaned as she rubbed her eyes. The girl leaned forward, poking her head to see what the annoyance that destroyed her sleep was. "Ow, my head... Coo! There was no need for that kinda pushing!" The same boy who had a bird on his head was the one who woke her up. The girl immediately locked her eyes on the boy, giving him a very strong glare. Of course, the spikey headed child didn't take notice. He just dusted his blue jacket as he walked back into the other cabin. "Idiot..." she muttered, quietly. The little dragon woke up as well, but he had his own reasons. "I'm hungry.." "Shush, Ka'nae," said the girl, in a faint whisper. And now.. for something completely different.. Just as silence once again fell upon the again the door suddenly flew open with a crash. This was not caused by any form of witchery however, just outside the compartment stood a young boy with an outstretched foot covered by nothing more than a flip flop. "….OW!!! What are these things made of?!" The boy refusing to use his hands which were currently shoved deep into the pockets of baggy cargo shorts had kicked open the cabin door. Not more than a second after yelling in pain the boy casually walked into the cabin as if nothing had happened and sat across from Francis. The boy wasn't necessarily tall but he had a lanky almost rubbery look to him. He appeared to be almost the exact opposite of the boy he was sitting across from. His hair was black as night and unkempt, his skin bronzed by hours of sitting in the sun, and his clothes although comfortable were anything but formal. Atop his head rested a small puppy with the exact same hair color as the boy. The dog slept peacefully without the slightest fear of falling off. As the sun shown through the window the puppy seemed to almost glow. This was due to the canine's overabundance of jewelry, everything from earrings to a tail ring. It was at this moment that the young boy pulled one hand out of his pocket and outstretched it toward Francis. "The names Gorilla H. Rufus and this hears Rusty!" | The train came to a screeching halt. The girl immediately applied force to the walls, trying to lock herself in place without being flung by the sudden stop.
"Bloody--" "Can someone get Coo, Zaros, and the luggage off of me?" The shining-red head gathered her items and stood up. As soon as she got up, Ka'nae began to shiver. The little dragon hovered close to the girl, hoping to get some heat from her. She still did not say a word, despite what the others from the nearby cabin were saying. "Like... now? The spikey headed boy proceeded to lift all of the luggage and place them back on the overhead compartments. One at a time, of course. Coo: That was awfully dreadful. What kind of nutters drive this train!? Kirby: What did I say about talking. |

| Rushuna jumped in her seat when she heard the thud Fires made after the train stopped. She finally realized what happened.
“Oh! Yes, I’m alright, but..” She was now holding Ka'nae, who had fallen into a frozen dormant state. Using her free hand, Rushuna tried to reposition the Tarutaru into an upright position. She gave a slight nod, and decided to check out what was happening in the hallway. “This can’t be a coincidence,” thought Rushuna. “They must have stopped the train..” She popped her head out of the cabin and looked down the hall. There was nothing interesting except a very tall person with a dark cloak moving down the aisles. The shining-red head tilted her head. There was something odd about that person. It might have been the way he was moving.. Rushuna looked in the other direction. She saw more cloaked figures, but they were closer. She notices the glass on the doors were building up with more frost as they got closer. The way the figures motioned their cloaked heads made it seem like they were looking for something, or someone. Suddenly, she remembered about people she did not want to see. People she was trying to run from. She just could not stop thinking about them. And the cold. And the darkness. And the loneliness. Rushuna suddenly realized there was something wrong with their faces. "Where are their mouths?", she thought. The sight of seeing a decaying, slimey hand being outstretched from beneath the cloak did not even cause the girl to withdraw into the cabin. Something compelled her to stay there. It did not make sense why she even stood there. The constant cracking of their boney hands would have been enough to scare off someone. But she stayed. "I... can't move..." A chill ran through Rufus's body. He was ill equipped to handle the cold and began to shake uncontrollably. "Brrrrr! Smebody turn the heat up! Its freakin freezin in this cart!" The sudden trembling woke the sleeping pup. Slowly rising to his feet the puppy let out a soft yawn. Rusty looked around the cabin irritably, he had no intention of being awoken so early. His eyes panned across the cabin taking in his new surroundings, eventually his made their way to the cabin window, just as the puppy looked out the window his body began to tremble as much as his masters A shadow was cast onto the cabin as a dark being presented itself just outside the window. Dark and foreboding the creature seemed to be looking for something, the puppy began to whimper. Rufus began to feel his happiness drained from him, feeling his energy vanishing he quickly rose to his feet and with an accusing tone pointed at the apparition and yelled…. "HEY! Are you the chump that's makin it cold in my cabin?! You better cut that out right now! Don't make me go out there!!!" (edited by Kirbynite on 01-07-07 02:14 AM) |

| Coo: Kirby… Is that.. Is that not a Lethifold? Those carnivorous cloak creatures?
Kirby rolled up his sleeves and latched onto a divider on the overhead compartment. He managed to pull his entire body into the air, and planted his feet on the wall. Coo: I say! You really can't stop being a hero! Kirby started to pull with as much strength as his body would let him. Thanks to the chilly temperature that had overtaken the train, the spiky headed lad managed to rip out the divider. Kirby: I don't go looking for trouble… Normally, a kid would have cracked his head open from doing what Kirby did, assuming the child had the strength to 'stand' on the wall. However, the boy received no injuries from his insane actions, as he thrust a hand underneath his body in time to smack the floor. The way he hit the floor allowed him to flip onto his feet. Kirby: But I won't keep quiet when I can see someone's in danger. -------------- Rushuna felt frigid tears running down her cheeks as she continued to stare at the cloaked figure. It was getting closer and closer. One of the other shadowy creatures broke off from the pack and decided to look inside one of the nearby cabins. "Leave her alone, you freak!" Once again, the blue jacketed boy shows up. He leapt out of his cabin, swinging a strange object, which had a strong white shine, into the boney beast beside besides Rushuna. A white spark was set off as the creature was clobbered on its ‘head’, causing it to glide backwards for a bit. “You’re not getting away that easily, punk!” The boy stretches out a free arm, attempting to grab the wraith-like creature. However, his hand plucked out nothing but cold air. He let out a growl as he watched the shadow hover over his head. The ceiling of the train was not that far, which meant the creature was still within the boy’s range. The boy jumped into the air and swung downward. A white spark followed by a rattling sound was released from the creature as it bounced down the hallway. A smug look was slowly forming on the boy’s face until he fell to his knees. Terror washed over his face completely as several shadowy creatures, from behind, glided around the boy. He was unable to withstand the supernatural power around him and collapsed onto the ground. Rushuna was not aware if she was actually conscious. She did not understand what had taken place. All she knew was she collapsed as well when the cloaked figures took notice of her presence. |

A voice, muffled by the distance, was heard from a nearby cabin. ”None of us is hiding Sirius Black under our cloaks. Go." A few moments later, a fierce light shot out into the hallway. Coo saw out of the corner of his eye a shadowy creature gliding off in the same direction the previous ones went. Coo glanced at Melo. Coo: I don't understand it either. All three of them just collapsed when those.. things got near. |

| Feeling all happiness draining from him suddenly Ruffy collapsed to his knees. Rusty began to howl in sadness…and Ruffy did the same. The two of them howled as streams of tears ran down their faces. Ruffy got up off the floor and wrapped his arms around Thomas. Grabbing the end of Thomas' shirt Ruffy blew his nose heavily.
"ITS JUST SO SAD!!!!" A man, garbed in completely shabby robes, stepped inside the cabin Melo, Rushuna, and the other children were in. He looked at Melo and Sukasa and handed them some wrapped chocolate frogs. “I suggest you eat some chocolate right now,” said the man. With the supernatural presence gone, the train begins to defrost on its own. Of course, with the train being a temperate zone and traveling on a cold, rainy day, the defrosting was taking its sweet time. However, it was enough for Ka'nae to wake up. The tiny dragon pulled himself away from Rushuna's clammy clutches. It hovered around, and began to panic as it realized it was in a crowded room. It immediately snorted out tiny fireballs. "If you want to get her, you're going to have to get through me!" "Settle down, now," said the man with graying light brown hair. "Your friend just had a bad brushing with a Dementor. They sense and feed on the positive emotions, forcing others to relive their worst memory." The man reached into his robe and pulled out some more chocolate and began feeding it to the unconscious children. There was a gasp of air coming from Rushuna, while a bit of groaning from Kirby. Rushuna’s eyes slowly opened up after her sudden gasp. Ka'nae beat his wings more furiously than before. "Yay! You're awake! Are you ok?" "What.. what happened?" Ka'nae flew over to the girl and began to nuzzle her. She was quite confused about her dragon companion's affection. Her eyes wandered a bit and immediately saw a man in raggedy robes. The man held out the chocolate, implying for her to take it. "Go on," said the man, in a comforting tone. "It'll make you feel better." She knew better than to pass up free chocolate. She grabbed the frog before it squirmed away. She let out a small shriek. "Another muggle-born. Don't worry. It's just chocolate. It won't do anything. Anyway, it seems like everyone is okay in here. I have to check on some others and then speak with the conductor." He stood up and approached Melo and Sukasa. “Be sure to give some more chocolate to the other two when they get up.” The man then quickly walked out of the cabin. Rushuna stared at the frog with prejudice. She gave it a little poke. Ka'nae decided to take action."Well, if you're not gonna eat it, then I will." The spirit-like dragon nipped at the chocolate frog, tearing off a tiny piece. A little flame flared out of Ka'nae's mouth as he chomped on the chocolate. The girl finally decided to take a piece herself. To her surprise, a great warmth spread from her lips to her entire body. (edited by Kirbynite on 01-08-07 02:34 AM) |

Kirby slowly got up, and groggily looked around. Kirby: Oh! Did I get that freak in a sheet!? Is that g— Kirby suddenly realized the girl was right next to him, seemingly just fine. He smiled. Meanwhile, the girl was looking at Melo. Rushuna: Yeah.. I.. I’m al—jobu desu Right about now, the girl should have been given a few puzzled, including the little dragon creature hovering around. Ka’nae: Rushuna.. You.. uh.. Your.. Rushuna: Nani? The little dragon hovered close to the girl’s pointed ear and whispered. Rushuna: Masaka! Kirby quirked a brow. The drowish looking girl seemed to be flushed. She got up to her feet and ran into the cabin across. Kirby blinked. He looked at Coo. Kirby: Did I miss something? Why was that dark elf girl speaking Japanese? |

Coo: What? Are you serious? Kirby pulled himself closer to Coo and lowered his voice. Kirby: Before I passed out, I heard it shriek. Coo pulled back and looked at Kirby with a strange look. Coo: Kirby, old boy.. I.. did not hear it. Kirby: You're kidding me! That's not something you can ignore! Coo: Kirby... You've had a long day. I.. think you should put your robes on. Kirby: .. You're not thinking I'm crazy, are you? 
Coo: I'm thinking those creatures... Ah, yes. The dementors just got to you. Kirby: .... ------------------- "< Rushuna.. what is the matter? >" whispered Ka'nae, into Rushuna's ear. The shining-red head was sitting quietly in the cabin, just watching the others. She did not seem like she was going to speak, so the tiny dragon spirit decided to nip at her. "< Rushuna. Please tell me what is wrong. >" "< It's broken. That.. thing that let me understand everyone. I don't understand what everyone is saying. >" "< Oh.. It must have broken. >" "< I don't know what to do.. I.. >" "< You can try to blend in, at the very least. The children are putting those cloaks on. But.. you.. >" "< I'll take care of it, then. >" Rushuna got up, leaving her only two items behind, and walked out the cabin., with a somewhat determined look. |

| Honestly, that's kind of a grey area, Kailieann The previous Heroes thread hasn't been posted in for almost two months, and I know some people get snippy about bumping up a thread that's been dormant for that long.
With that being said.. I was kinda amazed that I got hooked onto that show.. Though, I'm not as much of a fanatic as some other people are.
I like some of the things they've done to relate to the show, like Hiro's blog, and Claire and Zach's myspace pages (though, I still feel terrible whenever I view something related to Zach ) |

Kirby, now wearing his robes, was staring out the cabin's window. The frost was gone, but the glass was still foggy. Kirby: Did those freaks in sheets make the area look depressing too? Kirby looked to his side, looking at Coo. Coo: I do not believe so, old boy. Kirby turned his head back to look out the window again. Kirby: I guess it's an omen for something.. Coo: ... I say.. are you going to continue looking informal? Kirby: Eh? Just as the spikey headed boy was about to turn to look at his avian friend, he noticed his blue bandana on his reflection. | Okay, so I guess I'm really off from what the tunabot looks like, but I still find it funny. It's a form of symbolism.. yes.
