There was a rather nervous look coming from Kirby.

Kirby: Uh.. well.. you could say that. Yeah.

Kirby pushed the front store door open, and held it open for anyone who was right behind him.

Kirby: Hold that thought, Grey...

Kirby quickly jogged over to the family a few steps away. He held out the package of Instant Shroom Steak.

Kirby: I won this thing, and I realized that I don't go for this thing... so..

"Mommy"
"I'm hungry!"

"Food please."

Twilighter Mother: Oh, thank you so much. You've made my children very happy... and me, as well. Oh, kind travelers... Where do you hail...

DING-DONG!

"EEEEEE!"
"NOOOO!"
"Waaaaaah!"

Kirby: Oh, for the love of..

Swinub Fomerly Known as Twilighter Mother: Moink moink.

"Mommy... You're a piggy..."
"Hey! Fix my mommy!"

"Hey... Are pigs good eatin'?"

Kirby: Wh-what?

Yet again, Grey's words had struck him.

Kirby: They're transforming.. because of..

Kirby's eyes shifted around, glancing at the locals who still weren't swinubs. In moments, they turned around and tried their best not to look at the spikey headed lad.

Kirby: Eh.. I guess it might be best if we just.. um.. move along now...

Kirby sighed as he started walking east, towards the town's gate.

Twilighter Gatekeeper: A nasty monster lives in the woods past here. I'm serious. That's what somebody said. I'm gonna need the chief's permission if you want to get by.

Kirby: The old monster beyond the town gate, thing? How many times have I heard that one? Hey, listen, guy... We can't get permission.

Twilighter Gatekeeper: And why's that?

Kirby: You see..

And before Kirby had a chance to explain, the bell chimed in the distance. It was then the gate keeper turned into a swinub.

Kirby: Problem solved.

The path beyond Twilight Town was one of those old dusty ones, with some large rocks and leafless trees littered about. There was a lonely little shack just ahead of everyone, with a swinub mindlessly walking around.

Further down, the path went into a forest. Shadows pretty much engulfed the path for a bit until it reached a hill at the end. Ontop of the hill was a house, but not much can be said from this distance.

Kirby: Well.. looks like we've got a bit ahead of us...

Kirby: If it's going to involve us walking back and forth because something's in our way, don't worry! Look at the group we've got! We can deal with any situation that comes our way!

Just as Kirby finished speaking, there was a slight breeze that swept across the path. The bare trees slightly swayed, causing their shadows to dance and arousing fireflies from their comfortable spots. A cautious eye would've noticed that the shadows seemed to be larger than what should've been...

Unfortunately, Kirby was not one of those with the sharp eye, as he was distracted by a voice.

???: Hold up! Hey! Who's there? I just heard a voice!

Kirby realized there was a female voice coming from a black treasure box inside the little lonely shack. There were no windows, nor doors, so he just stepped inside.

Kirby: ...

Black Box: There's no way that people could be here! Seriously, that's just so unlikely!

Kirby steps out for a moment, and comes back a few moments later, carrying a Hoothoot.

Hoothoot: Hoot hoot?

Kirby: Yes, really. We've seen plenty of chests like you.

Black Box: No way!

Kirby: What are you up to? Causing trouble for people who try to be nice?

Black Box: No, no, no! I'm not like those chests, I promise! Look at my eyes, Tell me I'm lying.

Kirby: ....

Black Box: I'm not, seriously! Just get me out of here! You'll see! Don't make me beg!

Kirby: And place another paper related curse on me?

Black Box: ...What? Come on. You know how ridiculous you sound right now? I'm laughing in here. You honestly think I'm going to curse you when I get out? CURSE you? Well, I did plan on doing SOMETHING to you, but it's not so much a curse as a...

Kirby: Aha!

Black Box: It's a really wonderful ability that will allow you to do stuff, even allow you to go to special places! Doesn't that sound nice?

Kirby: I don't know if I'm fond of spending money on paper.

Black Box: Aw, come on, please? Let me out? Pretty please?

I had a long post prepared, but I decided to scrap it because it was too long for something I realized that could be summed up by a reaction towards a part from the article.

That explains so much why G4 has basically turned into a Spike TV. I now long for the old channel that looked so low budget.. Oh, why must G4 make their shows look expensive and edgey and hormonally charged!

Oh well.. If G4 goes down, I'll be missing XPlay and Game Makers/Icons (That Tim Schafer episode was a favorite of mine). I'll miss Brainiac too, but it's not really a gaming show..

Kirby: Whatever.

Kirby places Yami outside of the shack. He also placed a glowing pair of antennae on the Yoshi just incase Yami decides to crawl away. He then takes out the black key and unlocks the chest.

The chest explodes as the entire room goes black. Horror-fying organ music begins to play as a pair of glowing eyes and sharp teeth emerge from the center of the darkness.

Black Chest: WHEEE HEE! FOOOOOOLS!

Malicious Looking Face: What were you expecting? Did you think a lovely lady with a beautiful azure aura about her would pop out or something?

Kirby: Okay, that's hitting below the belt.

Malicious Looking Face: Now I'm going to hit you with the king of curses, the cursiest curse ever!

Kirby: I'm supposed to make up words, here!

Malicious Looking Face: Fear my terrible power! You will know the pain of being able to fold up paper to form solid shapes! BE CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURSED!

Three flashes of blinding light came out of nowhere. Kirby, who was already used to it, just stood by with a rather dull look on his face.

Malicious Looking Face: Whee hee hee hee hee! Now you're cursed, loser! Savor your suffering! Whee hee hee hee! Your suffering amuses me! And so I laugh! Whee hee hee hee! Your pathetic misery thrills me to the core! I leave you to suffer, fools!

Kirby: .... Whatever. You happy, Melvin?

The dull look on Kirby's face was still there.

Kirby: ... All of you are in here? I thought someone would've atleast stayed out there. I mean.. this is a tiny little shack.

He stepped outside, and looked for Yami. As expected, the baby Yoshi wasn't there. He looked on the dusty ground for tracks, and noticed there wasn't any crawling marks.

Kirby: Ohh! Yami's walking! And I didn't get to see it when he first started! But.. uh.. let's see.. where did..

Kirby looked around and finally saw where Yami was. He was heading towards a dark tree. Kirby smiled.

Kirby: Good thing I put those antennaes on him... Those four glowing bulbs defini.. Crap!

There was only an afterimage left of Kirby inside the shack as the spikey headed lad bolted off towards Yami.

Kirby scooped Yami up into his arms, and kept himself hunched over. He let out a slight yelp as he felt several sharp claws digging into his body. A moment later, he grunted as he left into the air, with a trail of dark ooze dripping off of him. The moment he landed onto the ground, he ran back to the shack.

Kirby: *pant pant* You guys... I thought atleast one of you.. *pant pant* would've taken notice...

Toys R Us is gonna present the second round of preorders for the Wii. So you can try to get it there.

I missed out on preordering the first time (due to the fact that I forgot to fix my alarm, of all days), so I'm gonna try to get it there.

And don't panic, yo. If you can't preorder at a place with a resonable pricetag, then you could just camp out on release day. I'm sure you've got just as much of a chance of acquiring a preorder as acquiring a Wii without a preorder.

Posted on 10-18-06 03:26 PM, in Son of Abbreviation Game (Current: HYSWHW) Link
Well, I asked Luigi-San if I can take back custody of the abbreviation game. Fortunately, it didn't have to resort to a corporate takeover.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know, the abbreviation game was originally created by the Salmon formerly known as SomerZ. And then the torch was handed off to me, and I threw my own little spin into it. You know, 'cause I like to razzle dazzle people

So for those of you who were only around for the last two iterations of this game, I suppose this might be new...

For those who never played this.. WELCOME TO THE ABBREVIATION GAME! The rules are simple!

How to Play: I will say an acronym for whatever, and you provide a sentence from the acronym. After a day, basically what feels like a day (don't worry, my days don't consist of a week or something longer than two days ), I will award points to the entry that deserves it.

How to Win
  1. Your entry is exactly or close to what the acronym really stands for. That's right, my acronyms are actual sentences. I'll casually leave a clue in some way, but most of the time it can be so cryptic that I don't expect anyone to figure it out. YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT, HOWEVER! Read the next part to see why.
  2. Even if someone figured out the first winning method, you can still win points (perhaps even more than the first) if your entry catches my eye more than everyone else's. Creativity tends to catch my eye a lot more. *nod nod*
  3. There might be other ways, but I'm not saying. You just gotta strike the right chords to find it. Somehow

Rule #1:Do not talk about fight club. You can provide as many entries as you wish, but the entries for the current round MUST be in the same post. You can edit your post, but don't try anything sneaky: time stamps say it all.
Rule #2: I don’t mind if you guys do some chatter, like posting again without the round being over. Just be sure to adhere to the first rule.
Rule #3: Uh… That’s all the rules I can think of. If there are any new ones, I’ll be sure to edit this post as well as pointing it out in a new post.

Sidenote: All the points you may have earned in the previous games won’t transfer here. Sorry, you chose the wrong college. Also, I might award a prize after so many points. A drawing or something.

Scoreboard thingy! (I’ll come up with a better design when I go to work

And to provide us with the very first acronym.. it’s the Bastard of a Machine!

Machine: WITWICS

See how nice we are in the first round? It’s as easy as finding a red mage cosplayer. Or something.

That's far too much winnings, DD. He'll get some points by default since he got what the abbreviation originally was.

However, I'll let this round go on just a few more hours to see if anyone comes up with something creative to grab other points.

Darkdata gets one point. It just caught my eye, y'know?

Kirby shot Melvin a fierce glare.

Kirby: You don't understand, Melvin. I'm not angry about Yami..

The spikey headed lad points over at the inky puddles slowly oozing across the dusty grounds. The gooey shadows crept out from behind the trees, bushes and even around the little shack. Figures emerged from the puddles, forming tiny, shadowy bodies. The figures had rather small bodies, probably stood three feet tall.

Their bodies consisted of the main torso, two thin legs and feet, two thing arms with sharp fingers on the hands, and a head with two glowing dots for eyes and a pair of long antennae. Their apperance was quite fitting for the surroundings.

Kirby: Or are you trying to tell me you didn't notice these things attacking me when I ran to the tree?

Kirby looked around at the dissolving mess of Heartless. He closed his eyes for a moment, and breathed slowly. He could feel the beings of darkness sinking away.

Kirby: I don't think we'll have to worry about them for a while... But I still find it odd that these creatures were here.

Teddylot: Maybe they heard there was a piggy barbeque.

Kirby: We're saving those people, Teddylot, not cooking them

The spikey headed lad started to walk forward, hoping to continue on with the quest.

Kirby: But that was certainly out of the ordinary.. And Grey, I think Yami's not the only one here that could attract the Heartless...
