Arminas: It definitely would've made the walk a lot better.

Lily: Yeah, well.. I don't remember what was said about the Ruins of Light. Can't go somewhere unless you know what to look for.

Rufus: Who cares? Les' go!

Lucas pointed in the direction of where the detector was reacting its strongest. And sure enough, there was a duct.

Rufus: A'ight! Here Ah go!

Lucas: Wait, Rufus, the duct might not be on--

Rufus jumped over the duct, and disappeared as soon as he cleared the duct.

Lucas: Well, I guess it's on..

----------------------

Cedric: Who am I? I am but a child, who just knows how to get information.

Cedric turned around, and hopped onto a rock. He bowed down.

Cedric: I am Cedric the Unseen.

Cedric stood up straight, and brushed some hair out of his eyes.

Cedric: If you want my last name, you will just have to wait. That's something I have yet to find out.

Arminas shrugged.

Lily: What're we waiting for? Come on! Hole with metal leaves in it!

Lily grabbed Ark's arm and pulled him into the duct.

The Great Hollow was located in the center of a lake. It actually consisted of a very large pit, one that might fit several towns if stacked on one another. Water from the lake slowly flowed into the pit, most likely into an underwater resevoir. Metallic platforms with a reddish beige color were located everywhere within the Great Hollow. The shape the platforms took resembled leaves, and seemed to form a spiraling path downward.

There seemed to be several creatures living within the Great Hollow, as they aimlessly walked about the platforms.

Clara: So this is the Great Hollow. It lives up to its name.

------------------------------

Cedric: Yes, having parents is quite the luxury, isn't it? In any case, just because I'm nicer to women doesn't mean I'm going to play Taxi Cab Confessions. I'm sure you're quite familar with that adult tactic. Now, would you like for me to take you to the Yoshenyoshi village, or would you prefer to wait for them where the cheaper information lies?

Cedric: I'd like to check up on the Yoshenyoshi. After that, we'll go find them. I just have to see the looks on their faces when they find out.

-------------------------------

Lily: Chill out, Drenchy. First, we gotta find a way to move low enough to get to the closest path!

Thomas: I've heard so much about ducts, but I've never actually went through it.. It felt.. a bit disturbing..

Arminas: Eh, you'll get used to it.

Lily: Hm... I can remember a bit more about my teacher's notes... Somewhere around here... Aha! A dewstone tablet!

Rufus: A dew-what?

Lily pointed at the structure that seemed like a balcony that was located on the edge infront of everyone.

Lily: It's a special type of stone tablet that has records of the Kingdom of Fungeria carved into it. And this is different from your normal, run-of-the-mill dewstone tablet.

Arminas: How so?

Lily: It's easier if I just show you. Come on!

Lily skipped over to the pedestal that was at the edge of the balcony-like platform.

Cedric: Very well then.

Cedric started walking towards the path the others took when they found the duct.

Cedric: I haven't heard any information about you. Do you know of ducts?

----------------------

Lily: Oh, Drenchy, weren't you listen? It has records from the ancient Kingdom of Fungeria carved in it!

Arminas: Well, you kinda said that and something else at the same time. It was kinda confusing.

Lily: Nevermind that now. Come over here! Put your hands on it like when we opened the door to the ruin.

Arminas, Clara, and Lucas held out glowing hands and touched the tablet. The platform shook a tiny bit, causing a bit of unsecurity amongst the group.

Lily: See? This tablet acts like a switch for the machinery inside. If you don't do this first, you won't be able to go down past a certain point.

Rufus: Well, I'll be. Bubbles here is actually useful.

Lily: What's that supposed to mean, you stupid bandit?

Cedric: I see.. Well, it looks like you're going to have some fun yourself.

----------------------

Lily: Well.. is everyone ready?

Clara: What are we re--

Lily: Good, then here we go!

Lily smacked a button on the side of the tablet. The platform everyone was on shuddered before smoothly floating downward. After it reached a certain depth, the platform moved into one of the other platforms and connected with it.

Thomas: Seems like this is where we get off.

Arminas: But there's sitll a ways to go untill we get to the bottom.

Lily: Don't mind that. Just think of this being the perfect time to get Omes and Shines!

Lily noted at the monsters that lied ahead. They seemed a bit tougher than the rest of the monsters they saw out in the plains.

The most intimidating monster had to have been the one that look like a minotaur. Amongst the minotuar were several floating beings. One of them looked like a blue flame, with bubble shaped objects floating about it. The others looked like round shields with spikes along the edges.

Thomas: The path seems longer than before now.

The minotaur let out a mooing roar as it swung one of its massive hands and caught Ark's spear. Unfortunately, the minotaur's momentum didn't stop there, as it proceeded to slam his fist into the ground with Ark along for the ride, assuming Ark didn't manage to escape in time.

Lily: Drenchy!

Arminas: Erraaaa!

Arminas rushed along the platforms, holding a glowing fist behind him. However, he was caught off guard by the shield-like monster that came rushing into him. There was no room for him to evade at the last moment like this, so he was forced to take the brunt of the attack and was knocked into the ground.

The shield monster rotated a bit, and pointed its spiked edges at Arminas.

Clara: Shining Tiger Blade!

Clara, with a glowing grip on her weapon, thrusted her sword at the shield monster, disrupting its concentration. She then swung her sword upward, knocking the monster higher above the ground. She then jumped into the air, and struck the monster downward, sending it off the platform and deep into the pits below.

Clara: Are you alright, Selk?

Arminas: Yeah, thanks, Clara.

Meanwhile, Lily tried to freeze the flame monster and the minotaur, but was failing in doing so. The monsters were, however, being pelted pretty harshly by chunks of ice flying around.

Lily: Darnit, they're not getting frozen!

There was hollering and more gunfire coming from the pack of scruffy bandits, all pushing their horses to the limit to keep up with the train. They approached the train from both sides, and quickly ditched their horses as soon as they got close enough. Two thugs managed to latch onto the front of the train, while the rest flooded into the main cars and the rear cargo cars.

The car that Nova and the others were in suddenly had its side door opened..

Bandit: 'Ey! There ain't no money in here! Jus' a bunch a bums.

The bandit, along with a few others jumped inside.

Bandit: Move yer asses if you don't wanna be capped.

The minotaur took notice of Ark, and started to slowly walk towards him. The minotaur cracked its knuckles before raising a beefy fist to pound into Ark.

Lucas: Lily, stop!

Lily: Wha? Why?

Lucas: I believe that flame monster is actually an elemental creature.

Lily: So.... you mean.. it's actually an ice monster? I'll take care of it quickly, then!

Lucas: Lily, wait--

Lily, with no hesitation, unleashed a wall of fire that spread across the ground. Arminas pulled Clara to the side in time to have her avoid the flames that quickly engulfed the ice stricken minotaur and the blue flamed monster.

Arminas: Watch where you're aiming that!

Cedric didn't turn his head when he responded.

Cedric: Oh no, it's not hard at all. Of course, being able to find information comes second nature to me. Having connections also helps with the flow of information.

Cedric was purposely being cryptic. He figured Elle would have noticed, but he was in no mood to be speaking about such a thing, especially since it's tied to a past he would prefer to forget.

Cedric: Ah, here we are. The ducts. If you step onto it, and focus your thoughts, you will be taken to another duct that is closest to what you thought of. In this case, we are going to the Yoshenyoshi village, so think of something...

Cedric's voice became very hesitant.

Cedric: Cute.

----------------------------

Arminas: You have GOT to be kidding.

Clara: Impossible!

Thomas: That was AWESOME!

Rufus: Daaaah-yum!

Lucas: Rexious, huh?

All that was left of the group of beasts was just one minotaur's burnt remains, and the blue flame's.... remains?

Lily, along with the rest stared at the youth that had just appeared. There was mixed thoughts floating about in Lily's head, however, the first one to reach her mouth was..

Lily: What in the heck? Do you have any idea how much serious Shine that monster must have had?! And the Ome!

Arminas: That's her initial response?

Stewardess: Sir! Sir! You forgot to pay!

Her face was full of confusion, yet her eyes still were closed...

Meanwhile, the frightened passengers pushed themselves onto the floor as they heard the footsteps of the bandits running around ontop of the cars. They prayed for a tunnel to move overhead, but no amount of praying was going to make a tunneled mountain appear to knock the bandits off.

The bandits ran up and down the train, firing wildly into cars below them.

When you don't live nearby any offline buddies anymore, got no interest in alcohol, and even forget your own birthday (let alone what's the current date of the month), you don't really expect to get much

Don't let that pessimistic jive sway you from thinking I'm still cheerful ;

Anyway, thanks everyone

Kirbynite pokes the presents laid about.

Eh heh... I might've enjoyed these presents a little better if I knew that no one was hurt from the trees being uprooted ;;

Kirbynite pulls out a PET, and points the infrared port at a certain position in the outside wall of the Acmlmboard Building.

Alright, Arminas.EXE. Go and give Forte.EXE my thanks. And no sass! Arminas.EXE, jack in!

Sorry to disappoint, but there was none available Besides, it's not like I'd get anything out of it. My family's been known to get the headaches, but not the buzz.

And as for me forgetting my own birthday.. It's rather easy. You just don't remember what's today's date. I always know the day of the week, just not the number

That and I don't have pals around to help me celebrate, like I mentioned before ;

Yeah, it is something that would take some time getting used to. It's like the unveiling of the controller all over again.

After seeing all the jokes everywhere.. The "touching wii" stuff, the "wii will rock you", and etc... I've come to realize how genius this thing is. It's setting a large fire that's spreading like crazy, and it hasn't even been that long. The name pierces people's minds, and gets stuck in there. Well, in most cases, anyway.
