| Arminas began coughing out all the water that had been forced into his throat. He held on tightly onto some railing that was placed along a flight of stairs that led out of the trench. Lucas was at the top of the stairs, leaning against a wall. Lily was sprawled out on the floor besides Lucas, panting very hard.
Lily: Eh heh... So much for sticking together, huh Teach? Arminas: Allison.... Damn... The water's getting... too strong for me to hold.. Arminas noticed Sigmund's unconcious floating down the stream. He reached out to grab the old man. Unfortunately, he lost his grip on the railing. Arminas: Damnit, old man. Arminas managed to grab a hold of Sigmund, and started to swim towards the edge of the trenches again. There was another stairway coming up. He held out an arm, and painfully crashed into the stairs. He held onto Sigmund as tight as he could, and started pulling the old man up. Arminas: ... He's only unconcious.. Just then, Arminas spotted Clara's head barely popping in and out of the water, floating right by him. Arminas: Clara? "Don't tell me she can't.." Arminas didn't bother to finish his thought. He immediately dove into the water and began swimming with the current. |

| Arminas quickly catches up to Clara.
Arminas: Clara, are you all right?! Clara barely managed to let out a cry for help as her head stopped resurfacing. Arminas grabbed onto Clara, and struggled to pull her above the surface. Arminas: Stay calm! I'm here! You're going to be okay! Arminas was unable to grab onto some stairs that went by him. He quietly cursed as his chance slipped away. The positioning him and Clara were in caused them to flow into another route that was seperate from Ark's. Arminas: .... I don't see anymore stairs coming up... |

Lucas: *sighs* I'm amazed at how fast we fell apart there... Lily: Oh, come on, Teach. We weren't gonna be able to fight against something like that. Lucas: Well, for now, we should try to regroup. Arminas headed down in that direction, and fortunately, this path here follows the direction. Lily: Hey, Teach, look. The water's starting to go down. Lucas: Indeed it is. Lucas: Hm? Lily: Er... Lily quirked a brow as Ark came into her sights. There seemed to be one other person with him... Lily: Um... Drenchy? That girl, on your back.. -------------- Clara: Mmmm.... ahhhh... Arminas: Clara.. Clara opened her eyes. She looked around, and saw she was lying on the ground besides Arminas, who was kneeling. Behind him was what seemed to be a waterfall that poured into an underground lake. Looking around a bit showed that there was a flight of stairs off to the side that led up, most likely to the Waterways. Arminas: You awake? Clara spoke with a coarse voice. Clara: Selk.. Arminas: Can you stand? Arminas held his arm out. Clara: Ah.. yeah, thanks. Clara grabbed his hand and was helped up. |

Lily: Old friend? Was she living here or something? 
Lucas: We can talk about this while we look for Sigmund, Clara, and Arminas. I just hope they weren't washed out of the place. ----------------------- Clara: Where are we? Arminas: I'm guessing at the bottom of the Waterways. The water carried us pretty far. Arminas turns around and stares at the waterfall. Clara: Carried by the water...Oh! That's right! The water swallowed me up! Ahum.. Selk, are you the one who rescued me? 
Arminas: I can't just abandon someone who can't swim. Clara: You... figured that out, huh? 
Arminas: Well, the sinking kind of gave it away. I have to tell you, even with strong currents like that, I don't see people sink like that. Clara: Ugh... And after I'd kept it hidden all this time... 
Arminas: It's nothing to get upset about. You just can't swim, that's all. Clara: It's a major problem to me! Arminas: Wha, that you can't swim? Clara: Stop saying "can't swim, can't swim"! You couldn't possibly understand my feelings! Arminas just stared at Clara, confused. Clara let out a sigh and looked down. |

| Kurima: Well.. as Hikari would put it: "He's a giant tin can with cat ears that needs ta be given a beatin'" I don't know what he is, really.
Kurima opened the barn door. Kurima: It just looks like a large, rusty human-like thing. It's always been here, and we used to use it as something to protect the ranch. But, when Hikari was younger, she was determined to beat it so she can allowed to protect the ranch. And she eventually did.. Kurima smiled as she approached a large heap of hay laying in the corner of the barn. There seemed to be some signs of red metal underneath the hay. Kurima: She was allowed to help protect the ranch, but at the same time, she had to start helping with the ranch. We used Gato to do some chores around the ranch, see. |

Lily: Hm... Lesse.. Well, that means I've gotta come up with a name for her too.. Well, you don't see that kinda hair that often, but I'm not gonna include that mean lady with the whip.... Sooo... I'll call you Vi! Lucas: *clears throat* Please excuse her.. She gives people nicknames, despite how simple the person's name is. Please, could you.. well.. Ark, could you tell us her name? -------------------- Clara: Ohh.. Of all people, why did he have to be the one to find out...
Arminas: It's not like I'm going to tell anyone. Clara: That's not the problem! Arminas: It isn't?
Clara: Well it is! ... But it's not.. Arminas: .. If you're feeling good enough to argue like this, I guess you're fine. Come on, let's go.
Clara stopped looking down and stared at Arminas. Arminas: We're going back up. We have to find the others. Clara: Oh.. right.. Of.. course.
Arminas: Get a grip on yourself.

Rusty: Woof! Sigmund felt some cloth being tossed at his back. It came from Rufus, who was standing mighty tall behind Sigmund. | Kurima: She sure did. Should've seen how ecstatic she was when she did it.
Kurima pushed off all the hay off of Gato, revealing its body. It was saying ontop of a wagon, which would've made it easy to move Gato out. Kurima: From what I remember about Gato, I'd call it more of a robot than a reploid. Unless the ancient texts didn't intend to make the two sound different. Well, better pull this out. |

Kurima's eyes were now hidden behind her shining glasses. She eventually looked at Gato, with a slightly redder face. Kurima: I've.. actually grown very fond of working on Gato. The work I've done has been a bit sloppy.. and I haven't even let Glenn help me. Kurima's tone of voice calmed down. Kurima: Besides, I would prefer if you guys would get rest instead of helping me fine tune him. Kurima made a mental note to thank Nalon as the ranch owner stepped inside the barn. Nalon: Hey, ya'll! Dinner's ready! I may not be as good a cook as Hikari, but I still think the stew's mighty tasty. |

Kurima: Er.. Sorry for getting so close.. Glenn, I need you to keep a close eye on this guy. He's reminding me a bit of John, but I feel a bit more apprehensive about this guy. Kurima turned around and stepped up to the wagon Gato was on. |

| Rufus stumbled backwards, nearly falling onto his back. He definitely wasn't expecting this kind of strength coming at him.
Rufus: Damn, man! I told you! I ain't got an idea on what you be talkin' 'bout! But if you wanna fight about it, then bring IT! There was a sound of metal clinking besides Sigmund's feet. Rufus turned around and looked at Rusty. Rufus: Rusty? What's this about, man? Rufus: *whine* Rufus: Uh huh... -------------------- ((This last half of the post I felt like doing for the hell of it ))
Clara: What's wrong, Selk? Arminas: I'm worried about Allison. Normally I don't feel anything from the eggshell unless she's trying to contact me.. but there's something very stressful happening with her.. Clara: Has she been..? Arminas: I don't think so.. I think.. she's arguing with the people she's with. ----------- Charolette: So.... Allison is.. the Linnara.. Ever since I heard the rumors of the birth of the Linnara, I'd wonder what sort of person it would be. And after I was captured, my faith in the existence of the Linnara grew even stronger. The whole time, I prayed for the Linnara to help us.... to lead the people of the water to salvation. Charolette let out a big sigh. Allison took a step towards Charolette. Allison: Charolette.. Charolette: But... it's you! Thomas, who was leaning on a broken wall, fidgeted. The room they were inside of was a secret chamber in the Waterways. There wasn't much light inside of it, but one could tell that there was a lot of debris inside. Thomas had a feeling what was going to come. Charolette: Where were you while my friends were being killed one-by-one?! Living with Koehra? With Arminas? I have no one left! Charolette walks towards Allison, shoving the girl backwards. Charolette: All of my friends were killed and you did nothing! If you are the Linnara, then act like one, and fulfill your duty! Thomas: Miss Charolette, I think that's enoug-- Charolette: Don't you have anything to say to her?! After all, you've been in there longer than I have! Walter, what about you?! The flying man whom the adventurers had dealt with back in the ruins was kneeling in the center of the room. He had saved the three when they were cornered by the soldiers after the flood, and had told them to wait in the secret chamber. He was exhausted from fending off the soldiers, carelessness he said. Walter: I have faith in the Linnara.. Walter, no longer able to ignore his pain, collapsed onto the floor. Allison: Walter! |
