| The sun had finally been relieved of its perch by the moon.
Hikari and company had made it to Outset Ranch. A redheaded girl, only slightly shorter than Hikari, opened the northeastern gate. Hikari: We got tied up with stuff. Thanks for openin' the gate, Marin. This girl had longer and shinier hair (which was tied up to a crazy pony tail) than Hikari, which was something, seeing as how Marin also worked at the ranch. She wore a light blue skirt and blouse, with gold and darker blue trimmings around the neck area, ends of the sleeves, and bottom of the skirt. She also had a long, pink ribbon that was tied around the left side of her waist. Hikari: Anythin' happen while we were gone? Marin: No, not really, Sis. Oh, actually, yes. Some nut's tryin' to trade his horse for a ride. Hikari: A ride? Marin: Yeah, he wants to be taken somewhere. Hikari: Is he still here? Marin: Mm-hm. (edited by Kirbynite on 03-16-06 02:52 PM) |

| Standing across from the man was Nalon, current owner of the Outset Ranch. She was as tall as Hikari, and her haircolor and style were similar to Hikari's (except for the fluffed up bangs that were parted halfway on Nalon, and her hair was only shoulder length).
She wasn't related to Hikari and Marin, but some say they're cousins. It didn't really matter much, since they were all like family, anyway. Nalon wore a short-sleeved, white blouse, and a long, indigo skirt. Ontop of those she had a yellow ascot, and a brown cloth infront of her skirt. Nalon: We take good care of our horses here.. But.. I'm still not seein' why-- Hikari: Hey! What's this business about a horse for a ride? Nalon: Oh, ya'll finally made it back? I was almost certain we'd be expectin' ya tomorrow. Hikari: We know Mitra is always makin' it back whether we're there or not, but it's so hard to ignore it when she's kidnapped right there, y'know? Hikari pulls the reigns of her horse a little bit to help it move in the right direction. The horse stopped infront of the man, Nalon, and the horse. Hikari tilted a bit, like she was going to get off the horse. However, she just fell right off the horse and landed on her side. Nalon: Hikari! Marin: What's goin' on ov-- Sis! | Marin had quickly ran off into the house nearby.
Nalon: Gohma spawn? Of all the random things to happen. Marin came running back out, and rushed over to Hikari. Marin: I got some Red Potion. Auntie Kurima is setting up the bed upstairs. Nalon propped Hikari's head up, while Marin poured some of the Red Potion into Hikari's mouth. Hikari's eyebrows twitched a bit until her breathing calmed down. Marin: She's doin' better.. I'm relieved.. Nalon: It ain't gonna cure her, but atleast it'll stop the pain. With that much she drank, she'll stumblin' around like a typical drunkard. Assumin' she'd wake up. Hailey: You're not planning to make excuses now, are you? Lucas: ... of course not. Hailey: But now I hear that you of all people are pretending to be a sheriff on Neo Grape Gardens. Unbelievable. A criminal acting like a sheriff. Hailey paused for a moment, and then turned her back to Lucas. Hailey: .... Why didn't you ever come to see me? Lucas: I was exiled. Surely you know that. Hailey turned around and swung her arms in the air. Hailey: I know that! I know.. but.. Hailey's voice starts to break up. Hailey: Don't get me wrong. I don't care about you at all. But Mom... Mom.. Hailey began to sob. Arminas looked to the side while Lily scratched their head. Hailey: Mom died! And you didn't even come to her funeral! Lucas: ... Hailey: I hate you! Hailey ran off further into the village. Cidoshi immediately ran after her. Arminas: Hailey! ... Lucas, hurry up and go after her! Lucas: That's not my place, after all I've done. |

| ((I went to change Marin's hairstyle to a ponytail, and Nalon's to be shoulder length. ; ))
Nalon: Stop squawkin' and hurry up! Everyone headed upstairs, where an older woman that looked like Nalon, but with glasses, and her hair as long as Hikari's. She had clothes that were a bit similar to Nalon's, except her skirt was brown, she didn't have a cloth infront of her skirt nor an ascot, and her slightly olive shirt had full lengthed sleeves. Kurima: The bed's all set, please put her on it quickly. Nalon, what happened to her? No one knew why Kurima didn't speak with an accent. She was the oldest of all on the ranch, and she would've been the best one to have an accent, too. Nalon: They say she was poisoned by some Gohma spawn. Kurima: Gohma spawn? But they were-- Nalon: Yeah. Kurima: *sighs* She's going to be in a critical condition for several days.. I'm going to reference the books to see what can be done. |

Come, come. Let's talk more at our home! Quoshi: It's in the back of the village. Which was, coincedently, in the direction Hailey ran in. Quoshi: We'll wait for you there! Lucas started walking forward after Cedric, Quoshi, and Pioshi quickly headed towards their house. Lucas: Hailey has been living with her grand parents since her mother died a few years ago. It's gonna be awfully hard with all this cuteness laying around.. Lily felt like she was being glared at, but couldn't tell with Lucas's glasses shining too much. She shook her head and looked on ahead. All the houses looked like giant eggs. The house in the back of the village just happened to be the biggest one, which looked like a two story egg. |
