| The horses were a bit spooked from the spear appearing out of nowhere infront of them. The carriage momentarily stopped until the driver directed the horses around it. Gregorious's eyes narrowed a bit as the carriage moved by the spear.
Gregorious: Seems like we might be having fun in a few days... ----------------------- Lily: .... Lily looked at the ground. Words didn't seem to come out of her mouth. She looked up and took a deep breath. Lily: Ally's got the Everlight. If I give up now, all this time I've spent searching would've gone to waste. Lily started to walk slowly down the hill. Lily: I don't know about you, but I'd prefer to do some mingling at the town. Someone might know something about these guys that'll give us an edge on them, you know? ---------------------- Lucas looked around in some nearby shrubbery. He pushed aside the plants, and explosed an unusual mechcanical device mounted in the ground. Lucas: Here we go. Clara: Wow... So... Um.. How do we use it? Lucas: First off.. Lucas kneels beside the object, and presses a few buttons. The object begins to give a low hum. Lucas: We turn it on. And then, you step on it. Just try and think clearly of what the surroundings look like, Southern Light for instance, and step onto it. The casing will rise up, and you'll be transported to the duct of your destination. Clara: I see... Clara was trying her best not to be the first one to actually use the thing. |

| Lily let out a big sigh. She looked up in the air. "Master would probably laughing at me for looking so pathetic right now."
Lily: Okay! We've got a plan now! Operation Kick Butt is underway! Lily was slowly letting her carefree attitude slip out. No sense in moping the entire way through. Lily: ... Oh.. but.. Can sleeping at the inn be a part of the plan? ------------------- Lucas: Fine. It seems you're all so hesitant. Lucas stepped onto the small platform, and instantly vanished. Clara: Whoa!  Ahum... I.. I guess I'll go next.
Clara slowly stepped onto platform. She closed her eyes, and quietly muttered "Southern Light." Clara felt like something was thrown over her head, and pulled her beneath the earth. Clara immediately opened her eyes. She realized she was standing just outside the entrance of Southern Light. Clara: Oh, thank goodness... |

------------------ As soon as Cassandra and Sky went through the teleporter.. Lucas: It's been a long day, so we should all call it a day, finally. If you can, I would like to see all of you in the morning to speak about something very important concerning the army. I have to check up on somethings for now. Clara: Understood. I'll come by tomorrow. Lucas: Oh, and if you two *looks at Sky and Cassandra* don't have a place to stay, you're more than welcome to stay for a while at my house. It's the large house west of the commercial district. The door should be open, so you're free to enter. |

Lily: Yay!

Lucas: Anyways.. Sky, I assure you that our inn does not have any sneaky dealings. If they did, I will personally attend to the matter. Though, I have to say, I'm amazed I haven't heard of anything since there's a bar underneath it... Lucas started to walk slowly. Lucas: As for your question, Cassandra, no one really knows. It was here when the island was first discovered fifteen years ago. You can imagine the sort of chaos that ensued when the ducts was first found, though.. |

| Hikari grabbed Mitra's arm and pulled the dancer to her feet. She then started running, while still holding onto Mitra.
Hikari: Nova, I reckon, with the way she made it sound, we're gonna have to clear the mountain itself if we wanna make it out alive. And probably further than that if the volcano decides the explosion was upsetting its gut. Mitra: Oh my.. Maybe I should've worn my runnin' heels today... Hikari: I don't think you should be worrying about that, Miss Mitra..

| Lucas: The ancient language left behind is still being deciphered. That and how dangerous it is to wander very far is what has probably slowed down progress. Of course, a thing like that won't really slow down adventurers and treasure hunters.
Lucas stopped walking for a moment when they reached an intersection. Lucas: Straight ahead is the central plaza, with a nicely constructed fountain. If you take the road over there, you'll my house. Now.. do you have any quick questions that can't wait for later? ----------------- Lily: Hey! Look! Drenchy, doesn't that look familar?! Lily was pointing at some random location over by the mountain ranges that they've almost cleared. Lily: Look! Look! It's where.. Um.. Where you first used a duct! To go to the Crystal Forest, remember? We can take this to get back to the village! |

| Lily: Huh? What's the matter with this thing? It doesn't sound like it's on..
Lily stared at the mechanical cynlinder. There was no humming. Lily: Hm.. Does the rain turn them off? She looked up in the sky. It had stopped raining a while back. Lily: That won't do! She hopped off of Ark's back and walked over to the duct. She looked at it a bit, and then gave it a swift kick. It started to hum. Lily: Aha! There we go! All aboard to Southern Light, folks!
------------------------------ Meanwhile.. Lucas' glasses seemed to be in constant shine mode as a heard of villagers were running up to him with random problems Lucas: Ugh.. I leave for just a day and I've already got work piled up.. |

Lily closed one eye while putting her hands behind her head. Lily: Well.. whatever. I'm going to take me a nice shower, since the sun's hanging pretty low now. |

| The day was finally over with. The pains of yesterday was finally soaked and dreamt away.
Morning finally came to the island of Neo Grape Gardens. "Half of the story, I can believe. However, with your attitude, I don't think I can believe the rest." "What? What's that supposed to mean?" "Just disgusting.. lying about someone's death does not justify searching for another for the sake of their cherished item. Goodbye." Lily wasn't accustomed to having doors slammed in her face, especially since she was actually inside the inn when Clara left. Lily tried to recruit aid from Clara, since they were staying in the same inn, apparantly. She told the swordswoman what had happened at the mountain, but thanks to bad timing with linking Arminas' fate with Allison's brooch, Clara had refused to believe Lily. Lily: Oh well... I guess I should wait outside for Drenchy and Gramps. Lily stepped outside, and managed to catch a glimpse of Clara marching off to Lucas' house. She gave out a little stretch. Lily: Ooog.. Lily looked around the corner of the inn. A part of her told her to mind her own business. However, what Sigmund had said had made her think a bit. She sighed and started walking behind the inn. Lily: WHOA! Oh God! Oh God! Lily's hands immediately started glowing as she realized the half dead body laying on the ground. She rushed over to the body and started casting her healing ability. Lily: Someone get some bandages and such! Don't worry, it's gonna be ok. |

| Clara: ... what is it?
Clara was telling Lucas about the story Lily had said, when Lucas heard a voice in the distance. He didn't know what it was, but his attention was moved over in the direction of a wagon with some barrels placed on it. He didn't know why the wagon was even infront of his house, but he realized that there two people standing behind it. Lucas walked towards the wagon. A little girl with brown hair and a flower in her hair quickly ran off, while the second figure stood there. Lucas: .. Arminas, what are you doing here? Arminas turned around, still stuck in thought. Arminas: A man and a woman don't need a reason. That may be true.. Clara: Hm? Arminas: There was this girl who was thinking you might be Lucas' lover. The next thing Arminas knew was he was laying on the floor, barely concious, with Clara standing over him. Lucas: Damn. From the looks of it, I'd say the story's now true. Arminas: aaah 
-------------------------------- Lily: Come on, don't die on me now, Drenchy! Come on! Lily's hands were starting to feel very warm. Infact, it was starting to burn. She knew she doesn't have enough experience nor enough ome power to perform a healing spell of this calibur. But that didn't stop her from casting her only healing spell, a weak one, over and over. Lily: Oh! 'Revive'? 'Revive' my butt! All I'm doing is restoring health to all the dried up frogs and plants with this wide area spell.. C'mon! I need a Ressurection spell! Clara: Just answer the question. Arminas: *sighs* I don't know, ok? The little girl told me some... ball of golden light was surrounding my body when she found me laying around. Lucas ran his hands through his hair. Lucas: Alright.. Just... Both of you, go into my house and wait inside. I have to check on something. Clara: Alright. Come on, Selk. Clara grabbed Arminas's arm, and before he could get up, dragged him into the house. |

| Lily released Ark and stood up.
Lily: Right.. We've got that other matter to take care of... Well, c'mon, Drenchy! Start feelin' better faster! We don't need all this gloomy feeling lurking about! -------------------- Just as Arminas and Clara stepped inside Lucas' house.. Arminas: You didn't have to hit me that hard... Clara: Shut up. There were two floors to the house, as well as a basement, made for holding people who were causing trouble. The second floor held two bedrooms, however, one seemed to have been locked indefinitely. Hanging over the stairs for the second floor was the skeleton of an ancient beast. Or perhaps a dragon. On the first floor had the living room and dining room combined into one, since a large table was placed infront of two large sofas. There was a kitchen located nearby, and a botanical room on the west wing. Arminas: Well.. I didn't expect to see Sky and Cassandra here... |

| Fortunately, the Bantam Bouncers were just practicing some new moves for their new song and dance routine.
Lily: Uh.. I don't see anyone that looks helpful around here.. ------------------- Arminas quietly sat down at the end of the sofa that Cassandra and Sky weren't sitting on. Clara: Well? Arminas: Well what? Clara: Is that all you have to say for yourself? Arminas rolled his eyes and looks at the kitchen. Clara sighed and looks at Sky and Cassandra. Clara: Selk and Allison had ran off, and they indeed ran into the army. There were three commanding officers, as well as the leader of the army situated on the island. Selk was disposed of while Allison was captured, and the only thing he has to say for it is just rolling his eyes. |

The man you saw that was supposedly the leader... Arminas: Gregorioius. Lucas: You're certain you encountered Gregorious? Arminas: Absolutely. His soldiers called him by name. Lucas: So, Gregorious was behind the attack on the bandits' lair.. *sighs* I should have realized it when I saw all those red soldiers. Arminas: Many of those soldiers are a part of special force that carries out secret operations. I'm not surprised you didn't recognize them. Lucas: *quirks a brow* I'm surprised you did... Arminas: ... |

Clara figures she might be in for a long haul, so she decided to sit down on a sofa, opposite of Arminas'. Lucas: Gregorious Lafley. Third prince of the Cruinidad (Cru-in-id-ad) Empire, a militaristic country in the southern part of the mainland. Over the past few years, Cruinidad has been steadily increasing its power by going to war with other nations. It seems Gregorious has been leading an independent division of troops from battlefield to battlefield across the land. Clara: ... Gregorious's confidants are his four executive officers, otherwise known as the Terrors. Lucas: Right. Danielle the Violet Fire specializes in fire omes, just as her name implies. Phaere the Shadow is famous for her deceptive illusions in battle. Stingle the Vicious is a master of the sword. People say that he wears a mask at all times. I haven't heard any intel on the fourth member, who Sky has previously incapacitated. |

The Holy Kingdom of Fum, her homeland, is at war with Cruinidad at this very moment. Clara: How did you know I'm from the Fum? I never told you that. Lucas: The Claveers are a famous family of knights in the Fields of Fum. I've atleast heard of them. |
