#16 is the little shit of a boy from the Haunting, the movie about a psychology experiment on fear taking place in a decidedly haunted house.

The problem with open mouths is that they generaly preceed a closed mind. ANyone willing to speak out in such a manner is probably unwilling to listen as intently in return.

How Sad.

Well, it seemes that Bush has illegally engaged in wiretapping and invasion of privacy without leave from the courts. This is technically the same thing that Richard Nixon did, and I believe that he was going to be impeached for it, but stepped down first. Any comments?

Posted on 12-30-05 11:44 PM, in Do you believe that science goes against religion? Link
I believe that neither one nor the other can fully explain the universe, or our perception of it.

science is easy to decribe, by its very nature something codified and explained.

Faith is like a stairway that is invisible to everyone but the person climbing it. It holds you up, and defies other persons definitions as to why or how. You know it works, cause your on it, and its obviously holding you up.

Every faith is different. (this is faith, not beliefs I am talking about). Science talks about laws, or established rules and paths of behavior that apply to our surroundings.

Faith seeks neither to explore nor explain our surroundings. It is a certainty without facts.

Its cool stuff.

I definetly think that a serious investigation is warrented, and that all the facts should be considered int he name of JUSTICE and not national security.

" A South Korean scientist who claimed to have cloned a dog and offered hopes of a cure for intractable illnesses has left his position at Seoul National University after he was exposed as a sham who faked the results of stem-cell research.

Announcing his resignation Hwang Woo-Suk, the country's most famous scientist and professor at the university, regarded as South Korea's best academic institution, apologised for causing "such big shocks and disappointment".

Wow, what a boner.

I have personally known several people who died from hellish diseases that could have possibly been cured buy further research into this field of study. This guy is a frigging disgrace, and has hurt an already damaged field of study.

Retarded fundamentalists are simply going to run with this and totaly run stem cell research right off the planet. Polaticians are going to allow this because they like having they're jobs far more than DOING their jobs.

and god damnit, im pissed.

Society is moving away from one centered on a common belief system (in this case, christianity) and is instread moving into a mass of individualism.

Seriously folks, gone are the times of the Scarlet letter, and entire town church meetings.

People often see Freedom as a do what ever you want proposition.

For example, Career women often want a career AND a family. Most who are successful (and this is always a case by case basis) have found that it means taking time away from their career for a year or 2 (or 3) to take care of a child, then resuming work. Or having a spouse/sig. other perform such a duty.

When parents dont do this, we get results like columbine. What kind of friggin parent are you not to notice your kid smashing COKE bottles in the garage?

have YOU ever tried to BREAK A COKE BOTTLE? Those things are rugged.

Sure, those parents were free to shoose not to nurture and care for their children, to throw themselves into a selfish workaholic lifestyle that turned their children into latch-key kids and homicidal/suicidal threats to society.

When i was a kid, my parents knew where I was and were i had been. I also got a spanking whenever i deserved one.

When I was young, and when I was bad, I was spanked. It was not often, but it was necessary, and whatever the hell i did to rate a spanking was NOT repeated.

Across the world, similar punishments are standard coarse. Does anyone remember the case of the american kid who was caned for spray painting a car?

Shout back!

And here I wasn't sure that my fellow Americans could once again sink to a new low. Good to know that I was wrong, and my natural cynacism in humanity as a whole was not misplaced.

saw it half an hour ago. The movie was awesome. Incredible visuals, great writing, excellent acting and it was nearly spot on to the book. I like it better that LOTR (and I know that statement is going to get me in trouble).

I'll admit it, i did watch the early digimon. Nad yeah, it as good. ANd yeah, your right, the later series did suck. Especially the whole morphing into a digimon thing. That was bullcrap. The idea was to have a not so obviously slave driven pocket monster show.

Posted on 01-09-06 09:24 AM, in HELP! NAME THIS ANIME I ONCE SAW..... Link
Hey guys, i need some help, bigtime. Back in 1986 i rented an anime from Sounds Easy video (remember that one?)

It was about a race of people condemned to live their ives in a mine digging up red crystal for a ruthless overlord. A young boy digs up a sword, and an angel (or spirit) speaks out of the blade, promising that a masiah will come and rescue them all. The sword's blade dissapears, and the youth takes the hilt and escapes the mines, finding a very star wars like world he lives on, with organ smugglers, star ships, droids, etc. after being attacked ont he surface, the youth finds that when he swings the sword at evil, it cuts even without a blade.

He meets up with a Han Solo type guy, and his stolen android, and they together take down the evil empire.

all in 2 hours.

What is ITS NAME?
