| On GB, they are so underrated!
6 golden coins is my favourite, it's almost as good as Super Mario World but shorter. SML3, the first Wario game is also rocked, the first GB game I ever played. |

| The screenies I saw look sweet.
A bit off. If you want to see girl action, get the Great Giana Sisters on Commodore64. Great game with some difference to Mario (like no running, bouncing from stomp, but more powerups...) |

| SML2 is great about its variety of worlds and leveldesign, and of course the hard but extremely fun castle level. Some of the minibosses are great like the 3 lilpigs and the rat, some of them are not very good (Tatanga for example, because how can he killed by jump??) but overally fun with great replay value. One of my fav part, when the booes dance in the cemetery to the title music, when you finished the secret level... So hilarious!
SML3 in the other hand has a different strong point which are treasure hunt. That's so lovely in that game, and finding for secrets. Some minibosses like the first turtle and the baby bird are so great, and some levels like the trains too. I don't really like the boss fight here tough. |

Level design sucked in Lost levels.
I missed those great innovations like the poison mushroom and the red plants in the normal Mario with normal difficulty. |

Originally posted by Sgraff87Originally posted by CTF OK, I don't talk about it, but don't say it's crappy, because you don't like it. It's easily on the league of the early Mario games like SMB1 for NEs or SML1. |

Altough the main foes of SML3 was named Gooms in the mariomonsters.com website. Pirate goom which has a sword, and wandering goom which is only wandering. ![]() |

| The misc level plays like the secret levels of the game, I don't really understand why didn't they put it into the Mario zone. | |||

| I never liked these games on the NES. I only like SMB1 on the SNES Mario All stars with improved graphic and sounds. And you get 5 lives instead of 3, with saving option in every world.
SMB2 is not a Mario game, and I don't like it frankly. I don't know how to get through on the second level, and I'm not really interested.... SMB3 is obviously teh best of these, altough it's bit overrated. IMHO SMW is better and has more "magic". However I like many things in SMB3 (the endings, the bonus games, some of the levels, like airships, tanks etc...) |

| Hi there. I recently found some interesting unreleased stuff for SMB3. Actually there are 15 hidden levels (around 8 of these are really worthy with enemies, goals etc.) in the game.
My question: Can I access these levels in Super Mario All-stars? Or if not, are there any ROMs/patches that can access these stuff? I'm really interested in it since I prefer this version to the original NES one due to better visuals/sounds/saving. Thanks. |

Originally posted by Thexare I obviously talked about patches, or game genie codes or whatever to make some of those great hidden levels appear in a much better environment. So pls don't be hostile. Anyway, I really don't understand why some of those levels are deleted from the final game. The scrolling underwater level with golden cheep cheeps looks very well done, and so the other icy level with moving platform. Other great one could have been the pipe level with waterfalls. The green para-beetles are also looked a decent addition. Too bad they removed them from the final version. |

Proto! Big thanks for this.
While the levels are even more screwed than in the original (look at some of the sprites, what happened to them?), but the great part is the gold cheep cheep is still there. If ever an editor will come out for the SMAS, I think I will try to remake the better ones of these (definately the gold cheep-cheep level, the icy water level, the pipelevel with waterfalls, one of those green parabeetle levels and the short level that start above ground and continues on water... the rest is junk), and add them an own secret world. ![]() |
