Well, what do you know... MM just made a thread based on YI2 in the Mario section.


Anyway, they're making a Mario game for Wii! It's called Super Mario Galaxy (for now) and seems to focus on playing on various planetoids. Looks interesting.

Yeah! Go Nintendo! Looks like this thread will have to be renamed "The Thread of Awesome New Games".


I can't wait for Super Paper Mario! I've always wanted a true 3D platformer. Playing as Bowser will be awesome.


Now all they need to do is announce Super Princess Peach 2... *hint hint*

They're also making a new Kirby game for the DS! It'll be like Nightmare in Dreamland, but with two new abilities, interactive environments, and rat pirates. The touch screen even shows what Kirby is storing in his belly.

Did I mention it features Dedede's Castle from the anime, monster teleporter and all?

Well, the world only has 2 levels, not counting the secret level I never knew about until I saw a map of it on vgmaps and I don't know how to get to it.


Of course, having Tatanga as the boss kinda made up for it. And I hated the star level.

Yes! I was thinking of that. That shouldn't be too hard to program, right?


Also, a great idea came to me. Instead of confining people to just Zebes, we could make many other areas, including space stations. We can even make custom NES style tilesets. Of course, this means we'd need lots of moderators.


We can start with a super simple space station training center for all new players.
