See, I never really understood what people hated so much about the Gummi Ship. It wasn't really difficult, and it wasn't THAT time consuming. Pointless, yes, but slightly fun. I built several Star Wars ships out of them...or approximations of them, anyway. My TIE is pretty good.

Ditto. The whole gummi ship building process had to be one of the most time-consuming and fun experiences in that game. And despite all the whines and complaints about the way it worked, testing your ship out after you built it felt rewarding. God, I can remember this one ship I built with maxed out jets on the back, it was always fun taking that thing through levels and trying not to crash.

But with the new gummi ship system being described as a roller coaster, you don't think that there would be much in room towards customization, would you?

Yet another thing that was awsome about said pimped out gummi ship. The trip between planets usually took 15 seconds or so of chaotic mayhem in that thing. =P

Pete & Pete?
Salute Your Shorts?
Welcome Freshmen?

Eureka's Castle? =P

Pete and Pete was a godsend. Most shows like that give only the main characters a disfunction, but in this one, everyone did. Plus, memorable episodes such as the one where Pete faked being sick or the neighbor war really do stick with you. Arnie was always my hero.

Salute Your Shorts had its moments, I'll give it that. Especially the halloween episode. But a lot of that show was just one punch line then we'll act stupid!

The main article in this thread, Doug, really made me laugh. Because a few days ago me and my friends got in this big memory loohow about Doug and how it was better then the Disney's Doug. Honestly, is there one situation that Quailman was in that you can't remember? Dr. Klutzenstine? The mechanical yodeling principles (forgot the name)? Klutzilla!

Also, Mr. Dink got +10 points in my book. Very expensive, ahyuk!

The first seasons of All That, with Detective Dan, Goodburger, and the lunch lady. Those pwned. So did The Secret Life of Alex Mack, once you ignored the ungodly huge title.

Action League Now! Staring the Flesh! Super strong... and super naked! Thunder Girl! With the ability to fly... like thunder! Stinky Diver, a former navy commander with an attitude as bad as his odor! And Meltman, with the power to... melt!

And then the unmentionables of Nikelodeon:
Animorphs - ruined as soon as the first episode, that one was.
Clarrissa Explains it All - nuff said.
Challenge of the Hidden Temple - the show itself didn' suck, but the kids always went into that one top-floor room in the obstacle course where the aztec was hiding. good show, dumb kids.
Rugrats - no.

I'm also surprised that no mention's been made of Wild and Crazy Kids, Video Game Challenge, or Guts with all it's, like seven different crags.

Yeah, I'm into metal. s'matter of fact, I'm taking Metal II this quarter. Maybe I can make a chair or something this year...

Oh. OH! You mean that crappy music that's nothing but loud grunts, screams, and random strings struck on an electric guitar? The stuff that just borders, if it doesn't already tip the scale of, emo? The music associated with being listened to by people as they slit their wrists for the upteenth time because their teachers are hell bent on "ruining" their lifes?

...

Meh, it's alright. Not a big fan, but it's so-so. =P

Answering both questions above at the same time, the first picture is a more updated pic then the second one of GHZ. You can see that by the life icons being different, as well as the monitors (or what's left of it in the 2nd pics place). So for all I know, and I don't, that palette for GHZ, or GHZ itself, might not exist in the latest version of the game if it was replaced by ALZ's tiles.

I was being sarcastic about what I said. I do like metal, but not to an extent where it's what I'm into. I sort of distribute my affection evenly between metal, rap, country, rock, carribean...

*an hour later*

... jazz, and whatever category Gunther would fall under.

Those are common characteristics given to heavy metal though, no matter how untrue they may appear to be. It's just the way people look at things. Like how people think the south is full of hillbilies, when that happens to be where NASA is. =P

But yeah, what I listen to when I do:

Led Zeppelin
AC/DC
Metallica
Iron Maiden
KISS
Alice in Chains
And maybe Queen, bu I'm not sure that falls under heavy metal.

And mattp, calm down. It's not like I'm trying to jump your mom or anything.

Depends, would you consider OVA's as movies? The four .hack// OVA's that came with the games are all good, and despite the dislike of Gundam Wing I sometimes see around here, Endless Waltz is an excellent movie. The Cowboy Bebop movie is pretty damn good as well... umm... I dunno, maybe End of Evangelion if you're feeling weird. =/

You've seen them all?

...

Well, maybe you should list the ones you haven't seen. Then people who have seen them can tell you whether they're worth it or not. Maybe we should make that the point of this whole thread, for people looking to purchase an anime bu not knowing how it is.

Also, just thought I'd toss in FF7: Last Order. Not that much, but it's an interesting view on the events that take place in the game.

David the gnome scared the crapjesus out of me. Just like Are You Afraid of the Dark.

Oh! anyone remember the special pirate ghost episode? Or the girl and boy talking through time via the mirror? The latter wasn't really scary, bu it sure was good. Oh, and the camera that hurt the people it took pictures of, and then it got the laser beam attatchment!

God, I miss the 90's! =P

I could never figure it out. Was the guy named Tintin, or was it the dog? I know the guy was the main character, but come on! Tintin? That had to be the dogs name.

Goofy: Gwarsh!!
Sora: C'mon!
Slippy: Data analysis complete! Here it comes!

Mayhaps, it will be sort of like that? =P

I would always try to find out what time the show was on, and fail miserably. Had to watch through Winnie the Pooh every time. -.-

Didn't they make a movie based off of this Sonic series? The Adventure one, of course. And it was less related to Sonic CD then it was to the Archie Comic series, which it was based off of.

Matter of fact, I recall seeing a pretty hilarious parody of it at the Hacking GulT. I'll see if I can find it again later.

You said penetration. XD

What's really a question is, if these games are succesful enough in English, will they port the PS2 Super Robot Taisens, Wars, whatever, to the US/EUR?

I don't think anything in that game was really taken seriously. Or at least after Mallow told Mario that he shouldn't rush into a fight like Bruce Lee.

Toughest optional boss, IMO, would have to be the Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts. And that's not the fanboy in me speaking. At all. I swear... iluvusephy!

The guy would call unholy hell on you in the form of a flaming tornado if you got to close, would chase you around like the ninny you were, jump super high while hooting like the N'sync guy who was doing his voiceover, and call gravity-esque halos over your head leaving you with 1 HP unless you stopped his attack. And fuck, while you've knowcked his health down 3/5ths, and while your feeling about dead, why don't we toss in omnislash and meteor? Yeah, kiss that Sora.

What makes that even more fun is the fact that Sephiroth is even harder in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Now for WORST boss ever, my vote would go to either Omega from FFX or the dragon in .hack//INFECTION. So much flash, not enough bang.

So there was an actual set schedule for Zelda appearing on the Super Mario Brothers Show? I remember it being really speradic and random, but if it was on a set schedule like that, I guess I can only blame my inability to know what "friday" was at the time for missing it.

I'll probably purchase this sometime soon. God, I can still remember the cheap, 90's rap theme song. =P
