Could have been worse. =/

Meh, if the movie really was that bad an ending, than I'm sure that the manga ending will be different, just like it is the entire series of manga. Or not, who knows. Anywho, I've watched the entire series and felt satisfied at the end... but than again, I didn't feel satisfied at the end of Ideon, which is kind of strange as it was crystal clear what happened. In extra horrific tones, I might add. So don't take my word on it being satisfying, just think of it as a satisfying movie overall. Which it was. And Ideon wasn't. Argh!

Disregard motion to disregard post. My point still stands. =P

Final Destination was a good movie the first time you saw it. But we watched it in class the other week, and watching it for a second time really shows the humor of it. A few quotes to show my point:

"I'm never gonna die!" Just so stupid sounding when you hear it.

"You can all drop dead!" BUS!

Anything Stifler's character said.

The second movie was... yeah. Just more oppertunities for original deaths. They ended up doing the same thing with Saw 2. And you can expect to know the plot of the third movie...
Spoiler:
they escaped death, and now it's out for them!

...Did I even need spoiler tags for that? =/

He didn't say that Cowboy Bebop wasn't tied up in the end. He also agreed with you about it being awsome. He was simply saying that the movie didn't have to meet any expectations information-wise, it was just there to be a kickass movie. Which for some reason they play on STARS and ENCORE frequently.

Seeing as how the characters in the manga differ completely from those in the anime on many occasion (an example being Rose, who is barely mentioned in the manga but plays a bigger role in the anime), It wouldn't be hard to see the two endings being completely different. And I'm sure that somehow, come the last FMA game, they'll figure out a way to end the series another way yet again. =P

Hmm, I don't recall seeing any human guinie-pig research going on at Yale Model Congress this fall...

Perhaps we need to go straight to the heart of the problem? Call Yale, if they don't reply forget it, if they give a reason in less then an hour accept it, and if they take longer then an hour and give an answer, call the police. =P

Perhaps instead of making this thread a sticky, we should make a thread containing links to all threads already made pertaining to Zelda 3 hacking. Threads that jump to mind are the thread a while back that had the basic how to use Hyrule Magic guide, and a thread from the old board that showed how to use zcompress (although it's kind of hard not to, with the read me included telling you everything you need to know =P).

Or perhaps we should make this thread a sticky, and make all of the links on here.

I'm not sure, but if you have the STARS movie packet, I think they're playing Blu Submarine No. 6 on Encore Action this month. Just bringing that up in case you want to see it first. But I googled it, and the plot sounds interesting enough. I say go for it if it's $3 a piece.

Am I the only one that uses paint for editing sprites? I mean, it's much simpler then Photoshop, but sprite editing doesn't require a whole lot of sophistacated tools.

Also, thouht I'd toss TLP into the tile editing mix. As long as you have the palettes preset, it shouldn't have any problem going to an image editing program either.

Hivebrain's site has info and downloads on everything Sonic hacking related. Or maybe it would, if he were to update it anytime soon. You should be able to find everything you need there, Giko. But if you can't, there's a slew of other sites you can try, like www.sws2b.com/forums/index or www.sonicresearch.org.

And I take it that the "something more interesting" has already been bouncing around in your head, as indicated by the smiley? Or am I just imagining that?

And will you tell me what the heck I gave you an idea for a while back at the SSRG music-wise? =/

I'm sure the same can be said for some of the other games hacked in this community as well. But needless to say, Zophar does have a great deal of utilities, and if you can't find it there, you most likely can't find it anywhere else.

I liked the short skirts.

...

And on another, more gameplay related note, The game didn't really dissapoint. I was expecting more of an expansion of the previous game then something completely original, so that didn't surprise me. What I did enjoy was the return of ATB, the dress spheres (maybe a little unoriginal, maybe hard to work with, but definantly added to the strategizing), and... oh, I dunno, the opening sequence.

And for the confusion surrounding the beginning of the story, I found that problem to be solved by watching that prequel movie to this game. You know, the one that was a sequel to the final Japanese release... "Eternal Calm", I believe it was called. Anywho, OPM gave it out on a demo disc with the english actors from FFX doing their stuff again, and it covers the gap of time between FFX and FFX-2 effectively. It's about 15 minutes long, and I don't know if it was given out on anything but the OPM demo disc (or at least the English version), but search Google for it.

And Clockwork, I take it you bought that $300 special Advent Children release to get those action figures? =/

But maybe after he entered Goku as an option, the forum decided to take the thread into it's own hands and end it before even more choices like that could be made. Or maybe you guys were right, and he didn't get the poll submissions when doing it.

Either way, Hamtaro is definantly the coolest anime character ever. =P

Each time I've been at the newsagency, I've skimmed through the gaming magazines, not much said about the game in them though.

Haven't seen the latest EGM then? Collect all four covers! (Or don't) =P

And as for the Kingdom Hearts guide, that's actually one of the things that tipped me towards getting the game. I saw the comercial for KH (still think it's kick-ass, BTW), and remember thinking 'Hey! Cool theme song... That looked like Cloud! And Donald and Goofy fighting... Cerberus? TARZAN!?! WTF!!!'. Now, this was before I was aware of any game like this, so I just dismissed this all as my imagination acting up on me. Then at the evil tyranical empire, heil Walmart, I saw the guide for the game. And WTF!?! It is Cloud and... Mickey!?!

Has anyone else seen the voice cast for the new characters though? Disney sure did pull a lot of strings this time around (still no Pirates of the Carribean actors, though. Schedueling problems apparently). And in effect, probably ended up pulling the strings for many of Advent Children's voice-overs in the process as well. =/

Interesting way to end this reply: Vivi and Tifa in KH2! Holla up!

The main debate with that screenshot was whether it was even real or not. And I was one of the folks leaning towards it being a fake, since up until a little while ago I head no mention of Tifa being in the game (mind you, I did hear mention of Vincent, but have yet to see him). but according to EGM, she is indeed in the game, and being voiced by Rachel Leigh Cook.

Since I mentioned that, mine as well give some of the other voice actors:

Sora - Haley Joel Osment (Secondhand Lions)
Aerith - Mena Suvari (American Beautyf)
Riku - David Gallagher (7th heaven)
Kairi - Hayden Panettiere
Roxas - Jesse McCartnet (Fat Albert, and god help you if you actually watched that piece of crap)
Namine - Britney Snow (The Pacifier)
Hades - James Woods (Hercules)
Chicken Little - Zach Braff (Scrubs, and god help you if you haven't watched that!)
Cloud - Steve Burton (General Hospital. Yes, the soap)
Sephiroth - Some N'Sync pretty boy, I dunno

In other news today, I preordered KH2 while finally purchasing FF8 (took me long enough). It's being released on the 29th at the EBGames up here, but I'm sure that Gamestops will have the same sell date. So don't put Anya out of buisness and buy buy buy. =P

The Tron one is what I picked up. But it was a hard desicion between that and the Steamboat Willie cover.

As far as Setzer goes, I don't really have an opinion. As I already said, I just purchased FF8 the same day as preordering, so I haven't really got an OMG! feel for the game yet. Sort of cool playing as Squall though. And I did a lot of bitching about the lack of any FF9 in KH, so everything's good now. It was one of the few games I've played that is better then FF7.

YRP, I don't recall if they even do anything special. I saw a scene of them fighting in Hollow Bastion during a preview a while back, but so were all the other FF characters (a FF "fanboy's wet dream", as so elcitly put by EGM). The way they disappeared in sparkles made me think of summons though.

I've already been waiting for Rai's translation of Super Robot Wars Alpha for the PSX. I've been a fan since the complete translation of Taisen 3 for the SNES, and Alpha's list includes even more recognizable Gundam characters (storyline pertaining to GW: Endless Waltz, OMG), and quite a bit of relevant storyline is dedicated to Evangelion (Seeing as Earth plays a big role in the stories, the preservation of it from the Angels/SEELE does call for priority in the game). I also believe Macross is involved, but I'm not to sure.

The fact that they're finally bringing the GBA games to America shows how fast the anime industry is growing over here. They wouldn't even consider it before because honestly: how much of America do you think was watching these robot shows back when these games were first coming out?

It's just a pity that the OG series caters more to original units then Gundams and such. =P

Are those monitor sprites based off of Sonic Adventure 2, or is Johnny letting you and Stephen use his sprites? I can imagine he would, since he already said that Project Shadow is discontinued for now. Either way, the palette for LZ looks good (with the exception of that odd ring palette, which I presume you'll fix).

*points to sig*

And the petition still stands. =P
