This is my new hack. A few of you may know that I have been out of hacking for a while but I am back with my new Gold hack: Pokemon Saffron

I stopped the caps as it really annoys me to see caps in the word POKéMON

e.g I just caught a great POKéMON! It is great. Heck it even has the POKéRUS virus!!

Would you believe it I just put bullet seed in yesterday! Oh and BTW I prefer to use hex for pokemon editing as most programs aren't thorough enough.

And I will have the Ruby Starters and Evolutions as Catchables

I also think splash is completely useless. but I can add attacks as well rather than just replacing them

I am currently creating a ruby hack (more info soon). I know there is a way of changing the title map data so that different tiles appear at a different place on the title. I have been searching the rom so much and I'm now just pissed off. Does anyone know the address of the Title map data? Kawa probably knows what I'm talking about because he changed it in obsidian.

It doesn't look too bad and you need to fix that opening door glitch. e.g when you open a door the tiles glitch above the door. The data is jut above the people sprites in ruby not sure about sapphire.

This is a proper Gold remake. I'm not changing the story or text. But I will add new features etc. Originally I was going to make this hack just for myself, but I decided to share it with the community!

A remake of the classic Pokemon Gold (GBC) with new features, up to date GFX and the Return of an old friend....

I'm progressing greatly in this hack and more screenshots will be added soon. A lot of scripting has to be done, the Sprites have to be changed, Text has to be Edited, And a lot more. But I will finish this project

But the fact is, its still a Gold remake, and a PROPER one at that. Theres so many things the Ruby engine alone cant do, and the same goes for fire red's. Elements of both need to be combined, and a truly PERFECT reamke will never come of a hack without an extensive amount of reprogramming to the game's engine. Homebrew is the way to go--its more practical, it'll be 100% compatible, and it will BE the Pokemon engine, just with every needed element at our disposal. My project started as a hack and the amount of sheer recoding I had to do was ridiculous. Its just not worth it to attempt this in hack form

Dude I haven't seen one speck of evidence that you (or anyone else for that matter) have even started these "super games" I'm not criticising. They sound great and WILL EASILY PWN my hack but I don't give a shit. This is just to pass time
