So I've been lurking around these boards off and on for a few months now, and now decided I had a question to ask. I've actually been messing around with Lunar Magic for several years now, slowly going through phases of interest, becoming frustrated, quitting, and returning again.

Anyway I followed each step to the 'T' and where I get stopped cold in my tracks is when I click the yellow mushroom.

First I'll explain what I did. I downloaded the SML2 FG ExGFX from the Workshop, I unpacked it, renamed the -named-.bin to ExGFX81.bin and placed it in a folder called ExGFX. I opened my hack and clicked the yellow mushroom button. I recieved a little pop up error thingamajig that said "No ExGFX found in /ExGraphics" which created a window called "ExGraphics" I assumed I have the more recent version of LM so I moved my .bin to the newly created folder. I reopened LM and my hack, pressed the yellow mushroom and *drum roll* got the same message.

A little perplexed I closed LM again and reopened it and my hack--but when I opened my hack I got all kinds of messages saying that all my files were missing the level opened but it was a blank backgroun with a few sprites here and there, i cycled through the levels and the same sort of errors popped up letting me know there were no graphics. Then I cycled back through again and all my graphics were garbled junk.

Luckily I backed up my hack before attempting all this so I didn't destroy anything.

For the record it is precisely this trouble of inserting ExGFX to the rom that always seems to frustrate me enough to put it away for a few months. I don't get mad, just annoyed enough to say, "This bores me"...at any rate I'm certain there has to be an answer.

Yeah I'm wordy, but I figured I should make it as clear as possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have no idea what I did wrong the first time, but just a few minutes ago I tried it again and it worked like a charm...clearly I did something but but I have no idea what. Now to unleash my creativity upon the poor unsuspecting world...hah!

Thanks anyway guys!
