I sexually assaulted my own penis and I feel like shit THIS POLL IS BULLSHIT IMO.
No such thing as a victimless crime. You, the criminal, commiting a crime against yourself is still making you the victim. Logical fallacy. |

The point is that if prostitution werent a crime, there would be no victims. It would only be a crime in the eye of the beholder.

So what are these things revolving around prostitution that aren't always legal or victimless? Robbing a bank perhaps? A prostitute gets paid to have sex with someone. If it were legal, there would be no slavery because slavery is unconstitutional. Surely, there will still be the underground, but even dirty rat pimps can be persuaded to set up their own shop.
Don't forget, everything that follows rules gets burned for not playing by them in the end. It's an inevitability. |

My point is that the chances of these three religions starting off as 3 completely different ideals are astronomical. What I'm trying to get people to debate is that Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths were all one religion back in the day.
Do you agree/disagree? PS: Molson Canadian, as with MGD, are the best I've ever had. Guiness is good for car bombs, but it tastes like ass. |

If you look on your keyboard, PrintScreen should be availiable and the best tool to use. Unless, of course, the app you're tyring to capture is a movie clip or a DirectX game...

A virus is a group of single cell organisms acting in a malicious manner when in contact with other living organisms. They are quite alive.

Ok, so what about ESL kids? How about them? I know many people who use the "AOL Speak" terminology even in their writing at school, but they cannot help themselves because it makes more sense to say "ur" than "You're". In their languages, such words are not as complicated, it's spelled with as little letters as needed.
EDIT: Yeah, I didn't see that little part in Thexare's post regarding foreign people. However, my point remains that it should be in the FAQ. (edited by Rom Manic on 12-03-06 09:29 AM) |

Hey, I'm a fairly active poster on the boards, but nevertheless I need approval for this forum really just to ask some questions regarding ROM Hacking.
As you can guess, my name is Rom Manic. I'm a fairly nice guy, and I really like playing ROM's. I own Consoledev Games, which is a group of people interested in making free homebrew games for older consoles. At this point we're pretty much just drawing up concept art and finishing up a storyline for our debut game, Quest for Eden, but actual programming of the game will be done afterwards, when I will have time to code Enigma, a windows based .NET video game maker for console development. As stated above, my projects for future endeavours include Enigma and Q4E, but we also have plans for abour 3 or 4 games that completely belong to us, plus many other tributes to previous IP's such as Megaman X, Chrono Trigger, and even the boardgame Risk. Alongside these releases will be interesting documentation on offsets, asm procedures, and storylines for all games we make. So, awaiting approval, if it comes to that. |

Well, a virus is really anything that damages your system on short term scales, but normally you would have to take a LONG time to find just one cell of the bacteria. I would imagine picking up a cold, for instance, is done by absorbing, inhaling, or ingesting a large portion of the virus.

Right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I don't want cancer, but I think the whole point of the website is that you can find a cure, but getting it is inevitable. The underlying message here is that if you get cancer, it's because you were always supposed to get cancer.
I'm pro-cancer, in this case. |

I was trying to do some research on Assembly when I had some random questions come into mind:
- What is the basic structure of an SNES ROM, or for that matter, any type of ROM? - Is there anything to compare/contrast between SNES/NES/Etc. ROM's besides the obvious? I understand that they generally have a header, a footer, and...Well, the filler in between. But since I'm going to be coding homebrew games fairly soon (Maybe January I'll start, but it depends when the script gets finished), I need to program a tool to insert all the game data into a ROM image. So as to not confuse my SNES console on what the bloody hell is really on the cart, I was curious if anyone knew a good source to look at, or knows anything about the subject. |

Hey, thanks for the replies! This stuff can help me in the future, so I hope you guys don't mind if I store this topic in my webspace
However, what I need now is what is the basic things a SNES rom should have. We've established a header is needed, but as Kejardon said, I need to know how to initialize the actual code of the game. Putting pointers and graphics and anything else in there is really low priority. So any idea's on how the SNES knows where to look for the first line of code to start the game? Apologies if this ends up being a different topic in a few posts |

Originally posted by MathOnNapkins This is a good reference, thanks for pointing that out. However, I won't be using an assembler to write my games, or at least, not a 65816 assembler. I think I'll be using my own utility, which should work out since I'll be able to modify it as I program the game. Some of you know what I'm talking about here, but thats another thread The topic from Zsnes forum should come in handy, too. Ill look it over when I have more time, but thanks again. Originally posted by Gideon Zhi Well, thats the thing. I will be coding for cartridges specifically. So whatever information I can get for doing so is what I'm looking for here Originally posted by Kejardon Well, according to the dev manual it says every game MUST have game information stored at a certain location, somewhat farther down near $FFB0-FFBF. It pretty much just includes the name of the game ($21 bytes max length), map mode, cartridge type, ROM and RAM size, and others. I'm not sure if this is what's in the header, but somewhere in the ROM it's there. It's a submission requirement. But anyway, based on what everyone has said, in a nutshell, here's what I got: Originally posted by The jist of it Tried to lighten it up a bit, but it probably sounds corny, so meh. But yes, I would like to learn about LoRom and HiRom addressing, Gideon PS: Eggsaredone XD (edited by Rom Manic on 12-08-06 05:47 PM) |

Kejardon: Ah, so if I have the address $xxyyyy, xx is the bank and yyyy is any 16 bits in the bank, correct?
Anyways, here is what I was talking about: http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/3408/gameinfoah1.gif But yeah, different mappers place the game data differently once it's copied, I suppose. Anyway, I'll leave it for you to decipher as it's fairly simple to understand. Gideon: I think I get LoRom and HiRom, if only on a small scale. If you go on IRC at all, I'm usually in #rohmacking on irc.esper.net if you want to get ahold of me. #rom-hacking kicked me out, I think |

Good idea, I must say. It's inevitable we'll eventually be flying to other planets, possibly intergalactic travel, but we'll have to wait and see. |
