Perhaps you should be the one to pull the lever the day he is hanged? Could you do it? I don't think you, me, or anyone discussing this thread could do it without massive remorse.

Picture yourself in front of a crowd of people, thousands of people, fighting with each other because some believe he should live and some say he should die. Now look at Sadaam Hussein, his head hung low waiting for you to pull the lever that releases the floor beneath his feet.

Now pull the lever and watch his neck snap as the platform disappears beneath him. Or maybe it didn't kill him immediately, and now you have to watch him asphyxiate and convulse before he finally dies.

I would probably wish I was the one wearing the noose afterwards.

Edit: Fixed a typo.

Why would anyone be afraid of drugs? Are you worried you might become an addict? You probably take drugs every now and then anyway, you hypocrites. If the doctor told you to smoke medicinal weed, but knew in your mind that drugs lead to substance abuse, would you still smoke it? How come this doesn't affect people who take a fucking tylenol every now and then when they have a headache?

Maybe it makes sense that every drug has a purpose, but society has transformed the word drug into party time?

I think you misunderstand what a drug is. A drug ALWAYS fucks up your body in one form or the other, regardless if it's MDMA, weed, or Tylenol. How do you think your headache goes away, by magic? It's the Codine in tylenol that relaxes your muscles, hence less muscle tension and (Obviously) no headache. This is also why people normally don't take a tylenol before a workout, or a good run.

And you can get high off of Tylenol, depending on A) how much you take, and B) The strength of the dosage within the pill.

This argument has gone on a while now, and since there have been quite a few ignorant posts (Some good ones too, don't get me wrong) I'll point out some things for you to understand.

1) It's MANIC, not MANIAC. Though they might both have a generally same definition, they are different.

2) Weed does not make you hallucinate. You do not see things, feel things, or experience things (Other than what you normally would) that are extrasensory in ANY shape or form. If you do not know how Tetra Hydra Cannabinol (And the many other wonderful flavours of this plant) works on the human system, do not make this assumption.

Weed, or THC in particular, induces a form of relaxation on the body by increasing the production of (Yes) Dopamine. Dopamine, to put it simply, slows down you body's functions. The counteracting chemical, Acetylcholine, does the opposite: It increases the motor functions of an individual (Again, in a nutshell). One counteracts the other, and you get your "High".

Now, with all this body energy being consumed to counteract each other, the body struggles and sends a message to your brain for some reinforcements: FOOD. This is why most, if not all, stoners get the munchies when they smoke up.

But there's a catch here. The body decides that if this is gonna keep going on, it's just gonna change the "Normal" balance of Dopamine and Acetylcholine to keep you functioning. It now takes more weed to get stoned, and is why sometimes you won't have the munchies when a little amount is smoked. It is also why Pot can become an addiction, but it's easy to get wiened off of.

3) Tylenol (Or a small concentration of Codeine) is, by all definitions, very much a drug. You cannot dispute it, and you cannot categorize it just because weed is illegal while Tylenol is over the counter (Technically that is a categorization, but if you must, let that be how you do it). Everything you absorb, smell, or ingest has an effect on your body and produces a reaction. Your body will try to use it as best it can, and excrete it.

I don't mean to get people into drugs (It IS illegal) but I don't understand how you can be afraid of it if you can take a tylenol for your headache. It just so happens Weed increases my risk of bronchitis or emphesyma. I just prefer to smoke weed when I have a headache. Hell, it's fun as a recreational drug in the right doses.

But as they say, to each their own.

Only unofficially. Go to BC, they don't know when the Frappucino buzz ends and when the weed buzz begins.

lol, frappucino.

Silvershield: You can feel free to categorize drugs as you wish, but a drug is a drug. A black man and white man are different, but there is no denying they are humans alike. They serve the same purpose, to grow and live and learn, and they inevitably die.

The only real categories I can think of are legal and illegal, I think.

Not go anywhere at all

But in all seriousness, if I had to do something, I'd find a cheap plane ticket, or work at a temp agency till I had enough for one. Get a job with the local drug dealers and go from there.

The entrepreneurs
The article

Well, as it turns out it looks like the world is one step closer to being a socialist empire. This is exactly what the world economy needs for a jumpstart into bringing poor countries into booming powerhouses.

I always wanted to do something similar, except with extremely cheaper car insurance.

Discuss.

At this moment your soul is telling your outer shell to read this.

3 minutes ago, it was telling the shell to do something else.

Tomorrow could bring death. In which case the shell is broken and whatever challenges lie ahead in the afterlife are faced by the immature soul alone.

The meaning of life is to live and learn. Like there was anything else.

Hold on, I'm about to down this bottle of Tylenol. Don't worry about me, I don't exist.

For the most part. As I've stated previously, some drugs that are controlled really do not belong in that category (marijuana being one example), while some that are uncontrolled maybe should be.

Have you ever smoked the plant? Is it really an avatar of true poison for you? Think of it this way: How many people smoke up, and how many people are dying from it?

6 billion people on Earth. Go.

I believe it is you who misunderstood my first quote. You made it sound like people who DO down bottles of tylenol at a time do not exist. That is wrong to assume. 200,000,000 million americans and you can't tell me that at least one is suicidal enough, or ignorant enough, to down enough to kill ones self?

The second quote there I misread at first. My mistake.

Tarale: Both of those fallacies do not apply in this case. Assuming Tylenol and Weed are the same is just as safe as assuming that a tweeter and a subwoofer are the same. Both are sound devices and process a wave signal into vibrations, but the subwoofer only vibrates at a low frequency, while the tweeters will vibrate at any other frequency to give you perfect sound.

Sure, one subwoofer might have a bigger speaker than another one, but there is no denying they are subwoofers. Perhaps you should ask your doctor if you are concerned with the validity of my posts.

It's not that I am blind to the truth, it's what you choose to see that blinds you to the truth.

I think his apology is sincere. I've been watching CNN alot today and based on the few black men who were interviewed, I think the reactions people are having are a little dramatic. The slave trade era is over, black people have every right a white person has now. Who the hell cares about slipping the N-bomb anymore? I say it all the time, even to white people I know.

This, I would have to say, only proves that the oppression is not over. Either that, or the many black americans who stick to this way of thinking want special treatment because they're black.

Ignore religious implications here.

3 guys walked into a bar. One is Muslim and likes Molson Canadian, one is Christian and likes Guiness, and one is Jewish and likes MGD. They all take a seat at the bar, order their beers, and eventually the topic of favourite beverages comes up. During the discussion, they find that they all used to love the same brew when they were younger. However, during the recourse of their lives, they also discover they come from the same neighbourhood. They get to talking, and discover that because of what their fathers wanted them to do in life, that new environment affected what kind of drinks they prefer.

So, 3 cultures born in the cradle of life. What are the chances they might all be the same?
