You know, although his statement may not be understood by most people, the senator makes a point. Too much internet usage clogs bandwidth. What he fails to realize is that this phenomenon (ZOMG!) only happens when the END USER decides to clog their own little "Tube", which is separate from all the other little tubes that go to other computers from the big "Funnel" (We can only assume).

And I think emcee was right too. The guy just took the words given to him that explained it to him, and tried to elaborate on it but ended up making a fool of himself.

Honestly, I think my respect just dropped for these people. Not only have they not tried to grab the public's attention to mend the situation, they just up and left. Just like that. No cool new inventive ways to catch people's attention, no real awe inspiring games, nothing.

Microsoft I'm sad to hear has decided to pull out, as well as EA. I wouldn't have minded looking at some new graphics for Red Alert 3 or some kickass X360 games on IGN or something. But Sony and Nintendo don't surprise me.

Here's a tip to keep a trade show a trade show: Spend some money to catch the interest of your target consumer. Not working? Try something new. Stop wasting your talent on games like Super Monkey Ball (No offense to fans, I meant to say it's pretty damn inventive) and dazzle us.

Better yet, put out AFTER said dazzling

I'm not salesman, but does that not make sense? Lose some to gain some?

I think you are onto something, ROM Manic. It seems to me that sometimes our government will just slap the label terrorist on anything they disagree with because it will automatically make the masses dislike it. I'm not really sure i consider hezbollah to be a terrorist group after everything i've heard about them, what kind of terrorist group provides welfare to the poor? I think they are more of a people's resistance movement of some sort. Israel has killed many more civilians than they have, in the name of "shocking and aweing" them, yet that isn't called terrorism. But i thought terrorism was when you killed people indiscriminantly or caused lots of damage to enforce your viewpoint? No, terrorism has become a label of convenience and is losing any real meaning. The idea of a "War on terror" is ridiculous, and somewhat frightening. Seems more like a way to have a never-ending war to me. That way the government can have more power and take away more of our rights because we are "at war". How different is a terrorist from a criminal? Why not just call them criminals? How long until people once called criminals just get called terrorists instead so that they have no rights?

It IS labeling, and just because they believe in something completely different doesn't make them ALIEN to us as human beings. However, what DOES separate us from them is the way they will make sure that belief is heard.

In the case of the Hezbollah VS Israel, there is blood on both sides. Yes, Israel has killed innocent civilians by unnecessary force, but does that mean their belief is flawed? Hell, thats one of the the whole reasons groups like Hezbollah exist. They believe that the Israeli's are less than human, that they have no right to live.

So, because both sides have been provoked, is there no justification in their beliefs?

I agree, and I think it's important people start recognizing that.

He hath disgraced me, and hindered me half a million; laughed at my losses, mocked at my gains, scorned my nation, thwarted my bargains, cooled my friends, heated mine enemies; and what's his reason? I am a Jew. Hath not a Jew eyes? hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? Fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that. If a Jew wrong a Christian, what is his humility? Revenge. If a Christian wrong a Jew, what should his sufferance be by Christian example? Why, revenge. The villany you teach me, I will execute, and it shall go hard but I will better the instruction.

This message portrays the realism that we face today. Though the person who says this probably does not see or care how his choices affect other people around him, the overall point is that we should understand how groups like Al Quaeda and Hezbollag work, why they exist, and how we can try to come up with a proper solution.

If they do happen, it's probably not JUST by those organizations. Those numbers could appear from anywhere, and it still seems unlikely to me they are realistic.

The point to the topic title insinuates that we see terrorism, whereas the other side of the fence sees freedom fighters. And vice versa.

I think going to heaven is another name for ascension. We all "apparently" have a soul, but yet our machines and our own eyes even cannot see it.

What logical explanation can be made from this? Someone said it exists, so somehow it must be real (Not sarcasm, it just looks like it).

MY explanation (And this is what I've told many people who get confused about heaven and hell) is that we vibrate on a certain level, as do most things in the physical world. Our molecules move just as fast as the table you're probably sitting at, or the glass of water in your tap. That is vibration.

So what if our physical bodies and souls are not much unlike the Jaffa and the Goa'Uld on Stargate SG-1? What if we are just shells protecting something much more valuable? Something that grows with us, learns with us, shares our feelings....Essentially is who we are, but something different at the same time.

So the heaven and hell thing...At most, hell and heaven are 2 different planes of existance, possibly operating on the same vibration level, but might be different levels entirely (Referring to the "Going up to heaven" and "Going down to hell" thing).

Some might think this as anti-semetic or whatever, but look at the facts. The people who witnessed the events depicted in the bible were barely able to understand the concept of a hammer, let alone cosmic vibration levels. The best way "God", whoever he may be, must have been "Going up to heaven for doing my will, or you get the banhammer all the way down to hell".

...Yeah...Thats my best explanation by scientific means...Anyone else have a guess?

People die for freedom all the time.

Anyway, I would make sure there was a refuge for people to run to. A well armed, well defended, well equipped base of operations. I mean, it would be fucking easy if everyone else pretty much died. Kick down a door, loot supplies, put it somewhere for safe keeping...

Yeah, I'd hide. Not in cowardice, but to ensure others who survive have a place to go.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organisation. They launch rockets into Israel with the objective of killing civilians to make Israel think differently about invading their country. Before that, they were terrorists anyway, with their bombings and kidnappings and such.

By all appearances, they are terrorists. They very well fit the definition of it, by any means. But ask yourself, when is doing the wrong thing for the right reasons a bad thing? Does it make you any more evil than the one who does the wrong thing all the time?

Oh, by the way, collateral damage is BULLSHIT.

Being a resource hog is Microsofts way of saying "Let's have sex! " to Intel, who in turn builds better equipment to run such OS's (Their way of saying "Ok, daddy! "). In return, Microsoft gets let in on secret API's within the hardware to let their software run faster.

Actually, the point was that Microsoft willingly agreed to provide the software and hardware that prevents people from China from having a full view of the internet, as well as any other freedom of speech.

Essentially, if you don't sin, or ask for forgiveness from the bottom of your heart for sins, you will go to heaven. If you don't follow gods will, you go to hell. Simple as that.

Which doesn't mean hell is a bad place. It's just not heaven
