I go with subtitled since it provides the original way the anime was presented, and people who know English can understand as well.

I do not find subtitles annoying since they are mostly brief and not more than an average of 7 words at once. This allows me to watch the anime with a glimpse now and then at the bottom of the screen

There is one exception...if you like GITSAC or an anime with a lot of dialogue, i would recommend dubbed simply because the reading gets very annoying.

So, yea...1 more vote for subbed.

I personally don't think there's anything wrong with drinking alcoholic beverages as long as you do it for enjoyment/taste and not for the abuse of your body by getting wasted. It's really sad that there is pain in this world that causes people to kill their brain cells just to make things seem less complicated.

of course, I wouldn't know about the effects of alcohol from a 1st person point-of-view, but I have seen the damage it does.

I think it's safe to say that ROM hacking needs to be subtle...since it's illegal, in most ways.

It would be convenient to have a rom hack site, but it's just too risky...that's what I think.

Hmm...when I patched the demo to the rom, I got it to run just fine. Just make sure the prg0 and prg1 patches match with the roms.

Also, it seems you put more time into capitalizing your message than seeing if you used proper grammar and spelling...

Anyway, just check your sources. I can't post rom references here.

DahrkDaiz hasn't finished Mario's world 2 levels yet, so...there's no way that you could get levels made by DahrkDaiz from world 7.

The first rom works properly, I suppose, but the second rom is just 1 water level.

You should try to spend more time on your level design. I can recognize parts of the level from the original smb1 in your levels.

Use LunarIPS for all your patching needs, Jacobthehero.

Please...whatever you do, make sure you take your time to make the hack interesting. Most people, like myself, don't like a certain part of the orginal level in a rom that is unedited. Otherwise, your hack becomes boring and dull.

I'd rather you take an entire year to make something that's worth my time than you making a hack in one month that is boring and a waste of HD space.

I believe you're referring to hex there. If i'm not mistaken, "$" means "value" or "offset"...an offset in hex code.

I think that's right, correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, for starters, you could create your own website on freewebs or geocities...although, i don't recommend them (i'm trying to get rid of geocities as well ) and host your hacks there for download. Just go to Yahoo, create a SN, and sign up for geocities, if that's what you want.

I've played your demo...and here's what I came up with...

Level 1 is poorly edited. The last part of the level just has piranna plants added to it, but the pipes and the "P" Switch are still there, just like in the original SMB1.

Once you clear level 3, you can't advance that way, so you must go through 1.

Level 2 is super-glitched, and I can beat it in 5 seconds if i hit the rotating block at the beginning of the level.

Oh yes...another thing. You used another SMB3 hacked rom to make your hack. There was already a "Super BALD Bros. 3" before you hacked this, which is in the title of your game when I start it.

I consider you beta test this, UZI...seriously.

Well. i used Super Bald Bros 3 Cause i Couldent find the original SMB3 ROM.


No...the title of the game (after the small intro with mario and luigi) was hacked, and also there is the hacker's name and the year in which he hacked it on the bottom right-hand corner. You didn't just take a graphics patch, man. You took another hack and hacked it.

I played the demo, and I couldn't find anything wrong with Luigi's 1-1. Try patching the rom again with a fresh smb3 rom. I used the prg0, if that helps any.

UZI, it's good that you ask questions, that's what most message boards are for. However, you shouldn't ask for something that is actually really easy to find, even for n00bs.

Anytime you want to find something, look it up at google.com. If you don't know how to do that, we really can't help
