I'm new...I like to draw and write. I like to play video games, especially the ones that blow people up, like Doom! ^.^ I have just gotten interested in ROM Hacking and I hope I learn enough to be a big-shot like some of the other people here! ^^

Pokemon Garnet is *currently* a crappy edit of Ruby, since it's my first edit/hack/whatever you want to call it. If I work on it every day, it might be done by, oh I don't know, January?

Screenshots:






Towns done: 1
Routes done: 0
Pokemon done: 6
Overworld trainers done: 1
Trainers done: 2

Glitches:
If you try to enter Route 101 from the left side, you get the message from that kid, so enter from the right. ONLY HAPPENS BEFORE YOU GET RUNNING SHOES!

My problems:
I can't change the pokemon or trainer sprites...@.@ I go to RSBall and I get lost from there. What do I put for the file name? My picture location is C:\Documents and Settings\TYLER\Desktop\Pokemon Garnet\fyra1.bmp, do I put that there?

Make sure RS Ball is in the same folder as your rom. Go to the thing you want to edit (pokemon or trainer) and click on "Export". It'll will create a file called poke.bmp (unless you change the text in the box)

If you're using the latest version of Elitemap, 3.7, you can't import BMP's back into the rom (I forgot exactly why Kawa disabled it) You'll have to use RS Ball to get the offset of the thing you want to edit. Convert the offset to decimal (use Windows Calculator), click on the Advanced button in Pokepic, and put in the decimal. The rest is self-explanatory..
