Dahrk Daiz, I found a way to access other worlds in Mario's adventure, namely world 2 (the desert) and world 7. If you want I can tell you how I did this so you can block it for future demos. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who knows how to do it, and I havnt told anybody. | |||

Well I didnt get to world 2 FROM world 7, and it's true that the Mario world 2 isn't finished, it is partly finished though. World 7 is completley scrapped, and probably only modified for testing, but I did get THERE nonetheless.
I don't think these were intended to be released by the creater so I'm not going to tell how I got there. |

What if the SHYGUYs and NINJAs behaved like mario 2 USA, you could.
1. Jump on their heads and ride them (or just disable them like the SMB3 bombguys) 2. pick them up and carry them (from the top or just like the SMB3 bombguys) 3. throw them or throw something at them to kill them. because how come mario can suddenly kill them when he couldn't in SMB2 this would be a great addition to the hack that wouldnt seem very hard to do, since you can copy the same elements from bobomb. In super mario 2 ninja's didnt die by jumping on their head. I'm sorry my simple syntax caused you to throw away my suggestion, and I don't think your response really clarified the point you were trying to make. Anyways, your hacks are very inspiring to the potential of SMB3 hacks, and I'm sure it will be FUN regardless. |

Im not acting like it's a new thing. It's obvious you could kill them in SMB2, i know that and so does everybody else, I submit to that argument. you win.
now, do you think it would be neat though to stand on a starman's head, pick him up and move him to a spot where standing on his head would allow you to jump to a high up place. Or to pick up a shyguy and throw him back onto some spikes so you may ride him across that dangerous spikes to the other side. It just seemed like a neat idea that could add more fun puzzles to your hack, and blend the worlds of SMB2 with SMB3. do you like the idea? do you think it's even possible in the programming? p.s. do you want to know how I found how to get to world 2 in Mario's adventure? okay instead of it being a brain inside of glass, make it a heart inside of a ribcage, and make the whole "mother brain machine" look like a creature who's heart is exposed!!

I'm glad you like the heart idea. I'll have to play it just to see what you did with it.
as for the liver idea, it is absolutely....positively...... fun! but then the whole game before that Samus would have to use beer and drugs weapons, thus an entire revamping of the game. I would still like to see whos heart your destroying though, if there is a way to change the graphics around the heart.. ..(remembering super metroids's mother brain monster) but if not, more power to ya. I understood what you were going for Jason, you weren't releasing a hacked game or tryig to show people your new version of SMB3. You were simpley trying to give us a shy guy we could use if we wanted.
I think he works great, the way he bobs up and down when he walks, the overall animation is high quality. People should really stick to the point of his post. Even if you have compulsions to review his submittion as a BRAND NEW RELEASED GAME!! giz giz giz. try to control your impulses and develop a little understanding. keep up the good work, I'd like to see your phantom. Your right, your the first person that came to mind when they mentioned custom behavior. I wouldnt say you've managed to completely port a Shy Guy to SMB3 though. That would require you being able to ride on top of their heads. I would be very very impressed if you pulled that one off. up for the challenge??.......(I sure can't do it) |

Agreed, that comment about every nude Mario getting their own thread wasn't even relative.

acually that makes a lot of since to have Phanto instead of boo..(or Big Boo), because in SMB2 the phanto follows you.. in a somewhat choatic fashion
or better yet the sun guy that dives down at you behaves more like the Phanto than boo does. |

I think of Excite Mario Bros.. If you recall the pikachu enemy in the game would bounce towards you but not hurt you. This was a harmless character that just annoyed you. Take this concept to have a characer bouncing around the level just for show purposes. Something cool like toad moving around or the fairies at the end of SMB2 USA could just float around and be harmless in somelevels. OR possibly have a mini game where you have to catch this special character for some reason. maybe for a key. This would add a lot to the visuals a lot. |

the original game Mystery of Atlantis is a really good game, it's one of those rare Sunsoft gems. The same people who did Batman, Gremlins 2, Gimmick, and Ufouria also did this game. It never made it to the US but the they planned on releasing here as Super Pitfall 2. But yeah try the original game too, it's very clever becasue of the many different paths you can take, and I think the different paths and secret doors are effected by your time and pounts. I have 3 things that I would modify.
#1, You have Mario in his "Running" pose when standing still. I'd change him to the "Standing" pose #2, Id make the bombs thrown into BOB-OMBS #3, I'd make an English version (edited by ImInvisible on 03-11-06 06:22 PM) |

Hey man sorry to complain but Mario's animation is still off.
#1. Now it seems there are more "Standing" sprites than "Running" sprites when he is actually running. It makes him run choppy. #2. you have the wrong sprite for his lower half when he throws a bomb. |
