For example, you do plan to add in pipes in both futures and have different backgrounds, right?

How would changing level layouts for the futures work? Unless time travel worked very different than Sonic CD, you'd tend to get stuck in walls whenever you warped.

1. The fourth level of the Famicom Disk System game Aisenshi Nicol is rather glitched in the FCEUXD emulator. Is this a known emulator problem? I have not been able to find other copies of the ROM to test them.

2. Does anyone know how a .FDS ROM is laid out, especially where the data for the disk sides is divided? I can't find information on this anywhere.

I take that as an insult- you're nearly calling me a racist because I don't shell out hundreds of dollars for game systems I don't have too much interest in?

Let's see... wrong forum, probably isn't needed. I'll close it, but if some other mod wants to reopen it and give it to SMW Hacking, they can do that if they want.

The water seems to work very well... though, I'd have to see it in motion to be sure.

Hm... I'd like to get Dawn of Sorrow as well, but I'm low on cash right now. Aria of Sorrow was my favorite GBA Castlevania, and what I've read of DoS makes it seem like a worthy successor...

As for upcoming games, Portrait of Ruin is high on my list, as is Megaman ZX.

On one of the computers here, the "Windows Sockets failed to initialize" error has been occuring constantly for some unknown reason today. It can be fixed with the WinsockXPFix program, but it keeps coming back. Any ideas on what is causing this?

The Saturn Version has a far superior soundtrack, for one, as well as updated graphics and completely different special stages. They're defiantely not the same game by any means.

Hm, the ground looks nice and overall quite good, but it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the GFX...

If we can recommend games we've already bought as well, I'll put out a definite recommendation for Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow... definately my favorite DS game now. (Though to be fair the only other DS games I have are Dig Dug: Digging Strike and Sonic Rush)

Esrael made Sonic 2 Delta- it can be edited in ESE, and the extra zones use zone slots available in SonED- things like "Zone 01" in the Zone Listing are blank zone slots.

Alright, what do you mean by taking levels from one game to another? I assume you mean other Sonic Games...
Esrael has a convertor that will convert Sonic 3&K savestates to Sonic 2 savestates on his site (its also part of one of the ESE versions), however, you'll have to take the tiles, 16x16s, 128x128s, and solidity data from the savestates by hand, compress them, and insert them into the ROM with a hex editor.
For Sonic 1 it's a bit harder... Esrael has a convertor that can convert the mappings, but the solidity data must be done by hand, and not every tile has a perfect match.
Games other than those Sonic games almost always will require you to redraw the graphics by hand in SonED.
