| Is Pizzicato V still making music? I have a few CDs of theirs I picked up back in the late 90's (I especially like the Sister Freedom Tapes), but then I got one ep from them which i absolutely hated and stopped checking into them. Did i give up to early? | |||

| There are also good games? I must have been very unlucky, I played about 500 of them and then it started to feel more like work than fun to continue checking out more. I did'nt come across a single game worth mentioning. Mostly it seemed to be inferior ports from other systems, and text adventures that have such a limited grammar as to be more frustrating than enjoyable. | |||

| That smoke is so foul smelling I think I'd rather spend time in an outhouse than in a smoke filled room. With all their billions of dollars why cant they devise a cigarrette that does'nt smell worse than ass? Or better yet, one which has no second-hand smoke? | |||

| "I don't know a thing about taxes; do you have a concrete example? "
Any charitable donations, for example, become tax write-offs. "Again, in my experience, you typically don't meet people in church. You go to Mass, sit through it, and leave. There are plenty of extraneous activities - youth groups, Bible study, etc - but those are a totally different story. If you're using those things as social clubs, then you don't really have the right idea. " I cant tell you how many people have said to me "I'm going to church so I can meet a wife (or husband). "If the "tough choice" is to renounce a religion because hard evidence does not exist, I think it's incorrect to assume that it's the "right choice." It depends on if you think that truth is whats right, or feeling safe is what's right. For some people the truth is inherantly right, for others the truth is less important than peace of mind. To me truth is more important than feelings of well-being. "It's not elitist at all, it's realistic. A Christian is not a person who says "I am a Christian," but a person who lives by the ideals set forth by Christ. I'm not trying to be malicious or elitist at all but, as I've been saying, the misdeeds of the "false" Christians give "true" Christians a bad name. " Fair enough, people who truly follow the teachings of Jesus are hard to dislike. But in the real world they are a small percentage of what people refer to as christians. "But, in any case, who's to say that this first religion I've tried out isn't the one that is right? Maybe I feel like I don't need to test a million different faiths because I know that the one I presently have is ideal. " No one is to say that it isn't right, but if you have'nt tried the others with an open mind, then you yourself cant justify making that claim either. "Another one of those questions that has no acceptable answer beyond the old "God works in mysterious ways." He is so far above us that we cannot hope to understand His plan or His motives. " + "And, while God is certainly incomprehensible in His entirety, He gifted humanity with at least a basic understanding of how He wants us to live. God's methods and motives cannot be understood, but He is not absolutely beyond our knowledge in the sense that humans have the Bible and the teachings of Jesus from which to draw wisdom and advice. " Which is it, is he incomprehensible, or do we comprehend him? I still dont understand why he wants us to have faith in him and what he'd gain from that, where is that explained? The most obvious conclusion is that it is not god who wants us to have faith that he exists without proof, but rather it is the authors of the bible and/or church leaders. "He is so far above us that we cannot hope to understand His plan or His motives. " Then why do you claim that his plan is for us to have faith in him without any proof? I thought we could'nt comprehend his plan? Why would his plan involve something that would make us a rube in virtually any other debate or situation? "You expect me to say "I base my entire life around a set of beliefs, try to develop my entire person and decide my every action based on that belief system, but I'm not really sure that it's true, it's just my opinion"? That's a little absurd. I am what I am because I staunchly believe that I am right, not because Christianity is "the best thing out there" right now. " What i'm trying to understand is WHY you think you're right without any proof or even without looking into the other ways of thinking about this thing we call religion. The only answer I can come up with is because of your upbringing and/or cultural influences. "Well, within Christianity there is a great deal of separation between denominations, so it's hardly as if we were raised in the same tradition. And add to that the fact that Catholics and Protestants tend to virulently oppose one another in many cases..." You all follow the same book, the other stuff is mostly petty squabbling about minor details as far as I can tell. |

| I'd rather debate with people who have their emotions in it, because they are the genuine article. It's boring debating against someone who does'nt even believe in what they are advocating. | |||

Plus Sign - I'll go check out more of their early stuff one of these days. I do really like the song "Twiggy", which i have on the "Made In USA" CD. I got the ep "Combination spaceile" (not sure on the spelling) and really disliked every song on it, which slowed down my P5 collecting dramatically. I've never seen any of their videos, because i dont watch videos in general
ibz10g - I also love the Misfits! yea I know that is a strange combination, Misfits and Pizzicato 5... My pick for my favorite band/album today is Japonize Elephants - "From Zorlock, Land Of The Lost".... Psychedelic blue-grass music at its best ![]() |

| I, for one, really dont care what bathroom people use. I could care less if there are women in the men's restroom. Maybe I'd care if there were no stalls and just a big open room with a row of toilets, but then i would'nt really want to use a restroom like that with other men either.
Is this law just for restrooms? Or does it also apply to other things.. like could one partner in a homosexual relationship claim the other gender and allow them to get a regular marriage? (assuming NY has no gay marriage already) Or, could a man claiming a female identity get sent to a women's prison? |

| I consider it a duty to vote, if we dont vote we leave the government to a bunch of fools, lobbyists, and reactionaries. Not that my one vote is necessarily going to make a difference, but if i dont vote than i only have myself to blame, while if i do vote then at least i did all i could.
I think this election went about as well as it could have. I'm very pleased we ran out many of the bums. I'm most pleased in my own state, we got rid of Santorum (I always disliked everything about him), and we re-elected Murtha, who is one of the few politicians I have a great deal of respect for. for possibly the 1st time ever I have to agree with geeogree, it's probably bad for any party to have complete control of the government. It's like Orwell said, Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. |

| "Only if the partner applying for the change is living as a woman permenantly. "
Seems like a pretty reasonable law then if it wont let people just flip-flop to whatever is convenient at the moment, I don't see what all the fuss is about. "Again, only if he was living as a woman 100% of the time. You've actually picked up on a very important point here. A lot of transgendered people in prison suffer from sexual harrassment or assault because of who they are. They need special protection in these circumstances to ensure that this does not happen. Of course, this would apply to female-to-male transpeople as well. " Anyone in prison who is not a big burly monster needs special protection. But very few are getting it. A trans-gendered man in prison is a highly sought after prize among the more sickening people in there, but the situation would be no different if they sent female-to-male people into men's prisons. As soon as it was discovered that they had a vagina, hell would break loose. |

| The Kerry joke thing is kinda ridiculous I think. If you watch his entire speech and not just that one little snippet it's obvious he is talking about Bush, right before that joke was a series of jokes at the president's expense, and you can tell that one went with them. It's really pathetic i think, to blow up a botched joke out of context as if it really meant something. What's next? Taking snippets out of books written over a decade ago out of context and trying to make them sound sinister? Why dont we cut individual words out of speeches and re-arrange them till they say something that would hurt the candidate, that's where this is heading. | |||

| You really want me to be honest? Well actually, I do like skinny women. To a point. If it looks anorexic then I lose interest, but other than that i can be attracted to very thin girls. But actually its not really the main issue of whether i'm actracted to a woman or not, i can also be attracted to chubby girls (as long as we dont head towards obese where the curves are all hidden beneath fat). Other factors are more important than skinny or chubby. The curves have to be there regardless of their size, at least in the hip/leg area (i care very little or not at all about breasts) and things like her face and hair are also important. Style counts for something to. | |||

| "And I'm also curious as to things outside of weight alone people For example -- build (ie, athletic), shape (ie, pear) style/dress sense (ie, do you find a girl who shows off a lot of cleavage attractive, or offputting?) etc. Some women are really fussy about their skin... but I think freckles can be cute. And do guys even notice a girl's hair? C'mon people, there's more to this than just weight "
I prefer a woman with a slender build generally. Really muscular, like a man, is no good for me. But the shape is whats most important, particularly of the legs, tummy, ass, that whole area. A girl who shows off a lot of cleavage just comes off as cheap to me. I'd be worried I might catch something from her I prefer her to have her own sense of style, something eccentric can get my interest. I really dislike the tanned look. I'm very attracted to very pale girls. If the girls skin is naturally dark that is fine, but sun-damaged skin is ugly to me. Hair is very important to me. I dont like her hair to be very short or butch (though pixie-type hair can be very attractive on some women). I'm a sucker for certain types of braids or pony-tails. I love dark hair, the blacker the better. I usually dont like blondes, but not always. Certain shades of blonde look really good on certain girls. Bleached blonde is repulsive. Dyed blue or pink is very cute sometimes if it goes with the girls style. I dont like tattoos on girls much, one or 2 cute ones is ok, but much more than that and she starts to look trashy. I love skirts or other types of garment which is very feminine, it does nothing for me when a girl wears men's clothing.
But even with all that, i have had crushes on girls before who did'nt even come close to this ideal, based on personality. Sometimes if a girl really seems to like me alot that boosts her attraction level to me, or if we have a lot in common or she is very adveturous and fun to be with then I'll become more attracted to her than her looks would normally warrant. I think the media image isn't there to be malicious or out of any agenda, I think its simple economics. If i put these sorts of people in my movie or advertisement, it sells, while if i put morbidly obese people in it it will not. Or imagine if they made a romantic comedy where the man had severe acne and yellow teeth and the woman was morbidly obese and had facial hair. It just would' nt sell. |

| I came here today and it's really really slow. It took me 5 tries to successfully log in, I was about to give up then it finally worked. But I've since been mysteriously logged out twice. Every other site I go to on the internet is moving at a fast speed except this one.
I can imagine a scenario where I get logged out and cant log back in to tell anyone about my problem. Maybe there should be one forum that does'nt require being logged in to post to? |

| "?EWhen eating a meal, I never take a few bites of one thing then move on to something else. I always eat one type of food at a time -- for example, if I had a plate with turkey, mashed potatos, and peas on it, I would eat all the peas first, then eat all the turkey, then all the potatos. "
I do that exact same thing. Must be a common one. "?EI cannot sleep if there are visible lights in the room. I currently have my Donnie Darko DVD propped up against my external hard drives so that I can't see the LEDs. " I cant sleep if there are any sounds to latch my consciousness onto. Like people talking or a television set/radio in the background. Instead of sleeping i cant stop following the music or conversation. "?EAnother thing that keeps me awake is socks. I cannot sleep if I have socks on. ?EI refuse to take headache medicine, unless my head is really splitting. I don't like the idea of taking painkillers when it isn't strictly necessary. " I also have both those ones. "?EWhen I was a kid I used to hiss like a snake when I got mad. Thankfully I've grown out of this one." I almost did that one to, but for me i would bare my teeth like I was a dog growling. |

| In my opinion, if the relationship is expected to last indefinately as long-distance it is a horrible mistake. If there will come a day in the foreseeable future where one of you will be willing to move to be closer, then its not so bad. But only if you get to meet each other in person at least once in awhile until the day comes that you can be together all the time. Also you better meet her in person before claiming she is your GF. And she better be fucking special to make you wait alone until one of you moves. I dont believe in that open relationship shit, whats the point of having one at all if its open? | |||

| There is a possibility that he is not actually racist but knew what he needed to say to get to the guys who were heckling him. Perhaps in anger he he went too far. I can think of times when I've been extremely pissed off and said things I did'nt really believe just because I knew it would really get to the person I was arguing with.
But regardless, I dont see how it affects the show Seinfeld at all, what this actors personal opinions are has nothing to do with his art and whether or not its good. |
