I am firmly of the opinion that, by and large, atheism is an extremely arrogant philosophy. Certainly, if you think there is insufficient evidence for God, don't believe in Him. But don't go so far as to say that you are dead certain that no possibility for any sort of Creator exists. Agnosticism is the way to go if you just can't bring yourself to subscribe to a religion, but straight atheism is an example of the human creature thinking so much of himself that he won't even allow the possibility of a God, even though no evidence disproving God has ever been presented.

I called Christainity arrogant not because it assumes any sort of knowability, but because it creates pro-god proof where none exists. In that way, I suppose there is a sort of implied knowability, but that is indirect.

It does'nt really matter to me if some people consider me an agnostic, I still consider myself to be an Atheist, because based on the facts presented to me i cant believe in god. I'd have to put the likelyhood at less than 1% that god exists as put forth in any religion known to man, in my estimation. It's not a matter of faith, it's simply an exercise in rational thought. Rational thought is open to change if the evidence changes, that's all.
