| I couldn't figure out any way to do this using FFHackster. It seems to only allow you to change the fights in the dungeons and on the land. Does anyone know:
1) Whether there is indeed a way to do this with Hackster that I'm overlooking? 2) If not, where/how is that data stored in the rom? Thanks |

| I was changing some of the dungeons in FF1 and I had gone a while without testing or saving a backup copy (I know, it's my own stupid fault), and suddenly when I tested it, the background tiles of the battles, menu screen, and opening menu (the new game / continue screen) were junk instead of black. In fact, in battle, when an enemy dies, instead of being erased with black, it's erased with junk in the palette colors of that enemy!
Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this or if there's any way to fix it without reverting the rom completely? Thanks |

| I reverted to my last saved (and working) version of the rom. I then tried repeating step by step every change I made, and I haven't been able to re-create the error. I guess I either have missed something or the rom I was working on before randomly got corrupted somehow. Either way, I think I'll just continue as normal, I'll just test a lot more often and save backups more often. | |||
