| A nerve above Francis’ eye twitched at the events that just took place. A wave of emotions took over him and he could not think straight for a moment. A few questions formed in his brain all relating to the three lunatics that were in his compartment not long ago.
He clenched his fist in anger but did not move an inch. He knew well that he would simply waste energy hitting objects that felt no pain. He quickly straightened out the compartment and himself before anyone noticed. Carefully readjusting his clothes and fixing his hair he did not want to give the situation another thought. A few minutes later Orion reappeared from his hiding place and rested on the seat opposite Francis. Orion looked up and caught Francis’ eyes and held them for several seconds. “I swear to you damn cat...one word to anyone about this and I will turn you into slippers”, said Francis’ as he clenched his fist “Also, next time you see that bear I want you to eat it” |

| The quiet atmosphere in Francis’ compartment was relaxing. Already Orion was taking advantage of such by sleeping. It seemed Francis as well was on his way to a dream filled sleep when all of a sudden his compartment door flew open.
At the entrance stood a boy around his age. He stood almost a head taller than Francis and his rich skin color was a sharp contrast to Francis' slightly pale look. He had short dark black hair which complemented his brown eyes. In Francis' eyes he seemed to be overdressed for school. The boy had a buttoned short sleeve burgundy shirt, a black colored slack and dark dress shoes. “Finally! A compartment that is relatively empty”, the boy said as he entered. He paid no mind to Francis as he stowed away his luggage. After a minute or two the boy faced Francis and extended his hand. “Name is Thomas Maxwell. How do you do?” Francis took a hard look at Thomas. Reluctantly he extended his hand as well. “I am doing well enough. I am Francis Crowe and the cat behind you is Orion” Thomas flopped down next to Orion and stretched. “What House are you hoping to land in? I favor the Slytherin mind set. Crafty and cunning is the way to be”, said Thomas with a smirk “You mean cocky and arrogant as well. Pricks to say the least”, answered Francis “True, but for it is the best way to achieve greatness don’t you think? Or would you prefer to be a some damn puff? Or maybe you are one of those brainy types, or better yet, filled with courage to face any obstacle. A fool’s courage, is that what you have?” Francis eyed Thomas carefully. “Greatness is the only path I follow. It doesn’t matter which House I end up with because the results will be the same”, replied Francis “And what result will that be?” “You’ll see...one day” (edited by Thoughtless on 01-05-07 11:22 PM) |

| It is that time of year for Kattwah. He turns 17 today and it is amazing how fast they grow up.
I want to be the first to wish Kattwah a Happy Birthday. May this year have as many, if not more, memorable situations and quotes. On that note I decided not to draw you a birthday card Kattwah. I did however decide to draw a particular scene that a few Board members and your buddies might remember As you can see, the quality is mehish at best. But yeah Kattwag*, even though I do the stuff I do, it is all out of friendship. And because I am cruel. But mostly out of friendship. | The moment the door flew open Orion bolted from Thomas’ side and climbed to the top of the overhead compartment. Francis’ kept a wary eye on the lanky boy as he walked in casually as if nothing had ever happened.
Thomas wore a look of amazement as the boy sat down right next to him and outstretched his hand towards Francis. After a quick glance at Gorilla H. Rufus, Francis slowly extended his hand. “Hmm. Well, Rufus I am Francis Crowe and the cat on top of the luggage is Orion”, he said “And my name is Thomas Maxwell” he interjected Thomas took a hard look at Rusty. “Better keep that mutt under control. All we need is to have that thing barking at the cat through out the entire trip” said Thomas. As he said this he slowly moved away from Ruffy. ‘Better keep my distance from this nut job.’ |

| “Stop yelling! We don’t know what those things are. The last thing we want is to have it be aware of us and come over here”, yelled an irritated Thomas. The chill had gone down his spine and was slowly filling him with despair.
“He is right. Just leave it be. As long as it doesn’t bother us or come any closer we are fine” said Francis calmly He wrapped his arms around his body as Orion laid on his lap. Francis knew emotions were on the edge in the compartment. A blind man could see the uneasiness behind Thomas’ eyes. Thomas tried to act casual as if the air were not cold and filled with dread but Francis knew better. He felt it. He tried to rationalize but his mind was troubled with past thoughts. “Ruffy, sit down" Francis spoke in a low voice. His eyes were trained to the ground and his breath could be seen as he spoke. | A look of disgust was on Francis’ face as Ruffy offered him candy. Before anyone could say anything someone called out that they had to put their robes on.
“Well then, enough of this mindless chit-chat. It is time to get ready for the upcoming year,” said Francis “The sooner I leave this compartment, the better. Pardon me when I say this but I hope that I am not in the same house as you Ruffy. I actually think I have gotten stupider by being in your presence.” Thomas gave slight chuckle at the comment. He proceeded to pull his luggage down and search for his school robes. As this happened, Francis walked towards the window. While leaning close to the window he slowly placed a hand on it. “The rain is tragic yet beautiful,” whispered Francis “I hate it” |

| “So...” started off Thomas. Both he and Francis were still in the compartment. They had not moved since putting on their robes.
“Yes?” answered Francis. He set his gaze to Thomas’ face. “You do realize that we have to get off this train eventually, right?” “Really? I mean, are you sure?” Francis said sarcastically. “I mean, here I was trying to teleport us to the school but now you say that we have to get off the train and walk? Shocking indeed” “Okay, okay. Enough with the sarcasm. I get it. But why are we sitting down and not in the hallway trying to get off the train?” “I rather wait a bit more and leave when the hallways are not so crowded. Also, I don’t wish to run into any bubbling idiots on our way to the school” “How can you know who the idiots are? You don’t even know all these people. It is not like an idiot is just going to scream out that he is an idio– ” Thomas stopped speaking when a shout was heard. ‘MY NAME IS GORILLA H. RUFUS AND THIS IS RUSTY’. Thomas opened his mouth to say something but out of shock, words failed him. “I told you. Idiots are everywhere. Now let us get out of here before we are left behind” said Francis as he moved toward the compartment door clutching Orion in one hand and dragging his luggage with the other |

| Francis looked at the boat in a tentative manner. ‘This boat better not sink’
“Is this a good thing? I mean having little kids in the rain then making them get into small boats to cross a giant lake? Does that worry you a bit?” asked Thomas. He sounded a bit nervous, like one who is found out of their element all of a sudden Francis did not respond. He held a smirk on his face as he noticed Thomas’ uneasiness into getting in the boat. “Are you listening to me? Anybody there?” Thomas waved his hand in front of Francis’ eyes to draw his attention. “Doesn’t it bother you? I mean, it is an outrage for us to do th-” “Shut up” interrupted Francis. His sudden good humor evaporated into the air. He was starting to feel the chill of the night and the rambling idiot next to him was not helping matters “Did you know that when you are nervous you tend to ramble on and on? You sound like a bloody parrot. Doesn’t it bother you?” said Francis. Thomas opened and closed his mouth in shock for a few seconds before he composed himself. He straightened his robes and smirked. “Yeah yeah. I got the point” |

I like for the show to end on a high note and not be dragged on and on. Season three didn't start off so well for me. I liked it, I just wasn't as excited as before. A let down of sorts. Hopefully the rest of the episodes will make up for it. |

| I was a big fan of The Simpsons way back but for the past 4 to 5 years I stopped watching them.
It got to the point that I didn't find them as funny as before, as many fans have stated previously. I am though hoping for good things concerning the movie this year. |

I was interested in this band ever since I found out Jenny contributed vocals to The Postal Service album Give Up. I have all their albums and their entire collection is rad (First time I used this word...ever) I am a sucker for female vocals of this type. Soft, sensual with a pop/rock feel to it. If I could marry Jenny Lewis I would. No doubt. Just to have her sing to me everyday. |
