It seems he went in the wrong direction from where the family was found and when they made that fateful turn.

Authorities think he died within hours of being found...which if true, makes the situation much much more sadder.

So, I was thinking about christmas gifts earlier today and wondered what would be an odd christmas gift to give. I thought of breaking someone's arm and saying "Merry Christmas"

So, what would be an odd Christmas gift to give someone?

My Desktop on my Laptop Nothing too interesting about it. The amount of icons I have is sparse compared to my desktop computer

1) Understanding what the code does -- in order to adapt C/C++ code, you need to understand the organization of the code and what code is done where and how it is done.

2) From there, you need to make a Java version of the design. For example, C permits passing things by reference. You can to something analogous by passing an object that contains the actual data you want to reference. Certain shortcuts in C are not possible in Java so you will also need to account for those.

3) It is possible for Java to run C code, but it is a pain to set up the interface. However, porting that library into Java could also be a daunting task. So, I think it is your best interest to hook Java into using that library instead of porting it to C.

I don't believe in AP system--it is more worth it to take the college equivalent at a community college and transfer from there. I was able to so much more because I took community college courses while in high school than via the AP test. With the AP test, you usually need to get a 5 in order to place out a class or two, 4 if you are lucky.

If you don't do well, you end up taking the same course again in college anyways. So that is a big waste.

Posted on 12-19-06 05:26 PM, in Are you ready for some College Football?!? (Bowl Picks) Link
So...the bowl games don't count until Jan 1?

Here are some of the Bowl Games in 2007

Outback Bowl, Jan. 1st
Tennessee vs. Penn State
My pick: Penn State -- without Joe Pa, they have more motivation to win

Cotton Bowl, Jan. 1st
Auburn vs. Nebraska
My pick: Auburn -- Nebraska's had problems as of late

Rose Bowl, Jan. 1st
USC vs. Michigan
My pick: Michigan - USC hasn't been consistent all season

Fiesta Bowl, Jan. 1st
Boise State vs. Oklahoma
My pick: Oklahoma -- there is a reason why the WAC isn't a BCS conference

Orange Bowl, Jan. 2nd
Louisville vs. Wake Forest
My pick: Louisville - Wake Forest Cinderella Story ends here

Sugar Bowl, Jan. 3rd
Notre Dame vs. LSU
My pick: LSU - what NSNick Said

BCS Championship, Jan. 8th
Florida vs. Ohio State
My pick: Ohio State - same reasons as NSNick

For a personal computer for private use, what is the need of encryption? I can understand if you keep sensitized data on the computer, like your financial history w/ SSN and stuff like that. But if all you have are games, homework assignments, and music then um...yeah.

I don't think they have different moons, they just have a weird way of saying weather of the night is clear or not...

Posted on 12-30-06 04:14 AM, in Bloody KVM Switch Link
My KVM switch works by pressing Scroll Lock twice and then hitting the up or down arrow keys to switch from one computer to the other.

Also, I noticed that the behavior of my KVM switch sometimes makes my mouse move sluggishly, which is remedied by not moving the mouse when switching. I wonder if you have any active software running on your keyboard and mouse? Like software that "enhances" the stuff you have. Perhaps disabling such things might help

Why do you need to repair your WinXP installation? Usually when my XP installation is dead, I just reinstall the OS. You can reinstall WinXP without formatting--it just requires you to rename two directories. However, if you have excrypted your files, then I would not advise to fragging your current WinXP installation yet.

Disk 4 could also mean Diskette 4--Microsoft still supports the installation of operating systems with Diskette form for some unknown reason.

But anyways, what do you mean by "insert the Geforce MX440"? From the rest of the post, it sounds like you need to install a driver. Have you tried installing the driver from the installation kit from Nvidia?

I'm about 50 hours into the game already and I need to dead south of Giza after the rains...I guess I'm binge too much on experience? or perhaps I'm subborn enough that I have to complete a hunt that is seriously out of skills I have before I can feel comfortable moving on? (I accumulated about 15 hours for 1 hunt -- when I finished the tomb of raithwall, I had played for about 33 hours ) I get dealt about 1000 dmg/character and I have a cure that only restores 250, cura that restores 500, and hi-potions that restore 600 However, I manged to win with very little use of quickenings/espers

I think you are better of reinstalling Windows XP instead of trying to address each and every problem... (note, you can reinstall the OS w/o formatting your HD)

but anyways,

1. try new batteries?

2. OS reinstall

3. there is some software you install that messes it up. When i install the printing software of my printer, power saving modes fail to work

4. no idea

5. probably related to the software you have running on the computer interacting in such a fashion that causes that to happen. microsoft can't fix it because it is insanely complex to solve... but serious, it is a very hard bug to isolate and so many factors could cause it... so it is something you probably will need to live with

6. assuming notification icons mean system tray icons (icons that appear next to your clock), either they are hidden. If not, OS reinstall

7. never had that happen to me. You could try to fix it by reassigning drive letters via Disk Management in Computer Management tool in Administrative Tools (this assumes you have WinXP Professional -- i'm not sure if it WinXP Home has Admin Tools)

8. i recall this happening with anti-virus software

9. Why use Courier when Courier New works? What advantage does the non-TrueType Courier gives you that TrueType doesn't? But anyways, probably because the non-TrueType Courier font isn't installed?

10. Windows Explorer-->Tools-->Folder Options-->File Types-->Click HTM File-->Advanced Button in "File Types" Tab-->Change Icon
