| Consoles don't survive if there is no one to program them. This is what happened to Atari in the early 80's. There were plenty of consoles at the time but because shitty games were being produced up the wazoo, retailers gave up on video games, which crashed the video game market, which ultimately killed Atari's console business.
As long as video game makers see they can still make money on the console they program on, they will continue to program on it. It takes a bad decision on a console to make video game companies jump ship (i.e. Nintendo's fall in the mid-90's). Of course, the consumer also has a role in how well a console will do, this is why Dreamcast and Saturn were flops in the U.S. and not in Japan. If console were really important factor, then one would just buy the console and no games  . But I believe most logical people buy a video game console because they like the games the could play on it. |

| If it is just a data drive, (i.e. does not contain the operating system), then you can just simply select all the folders of the drive (i.e. select all the folders in D:\ and then copy). However, if you want a more automated solution (or you also want to backup the operating system) then Norton Ghost works. |
