you could break your sleep apart. For must of the past three semesters, my longest consecutive hours of sleep were 5-6 hours. With an extra hour when I go to school on the metro at around 7-8am, and another hour when I go home on the metro at 7-8pm. If I get anything less than that 5-6 hour block, it usually sucks.

Although, if he can push the tuesday classes together, that work work better, becase the largest block of sleep appears to be just 5 hours...

I've averaged 6 hours for the past three semesters, taking on average 20 semester units, working 20 hours, commuting 4 hours..and my GPA is still above 3.3... So, if one person can do it, then it isn't overly impossible... but yes, it is a lot of sacrifice...

i think it goes deeper than that Danielle... mental problems are not a funny thing and reactions like that often makes it worse... you have the right to have such an opinion, but something like that shouldn't have been said...

anyways, have you talked to his parents? If you only know him online, then it is going to be difficult to interviene. If Shyguy, you say is true, then he needs institutional help or something of the sort. Other than that, continuing to talk to him is the only thing you can do.
