because we are bad at reading your mind...and you gave a post that was illogical to all of us, but perfectly logical to you--we're not worthy of understanding your intelligence so we resort to such assumptions

assuming the DMV allows you to have two appointments in their system, which is impossible. My mom had made a driving test appointment at one DMV place on Friday. She also made another one for me on a Saturday the day after she made the appointment for Friday. I show up Friday and they told me my appointment wasn't until the next day... So, unless you were willing to wait in line for a test, then it is pretty much impossible--maybe more probable if you went to the DMV of a small town ...

Posted on 01-21-06 12:51 AM, in Do you have a job? Link
I have two jobs. My primary job is Student Library Employee at one of the satellite libraries at my university. The job is pretty cush--all I do most of the time is check out books, shelve books, straighten books, or just watch the circulation desk. Since I work evenings and weekends AND it is a small library, I'm pretty much paid to study I also do extra tasks that most SLEs don't have so I get paid an extra two dollars for a grand total of $10.57/hour before taxes.

My other job is being a Graduate Student Instructor (i.e. Teaching Assistant) for a lower division computer science course. My job is to run a lab section and a discussion section (a time students can get clarification on topics lectured by the professor). Pay is quite good--approximately $650/month (after taxes) for an estimated 40 hours of work. So, if I did the math correctly, that should be about $16/hour.

I consider being able to type with your 10 fingers sufficient for a typing class...no need to be very quick. There are still some people I know (in college) who still type with two fingers

Yugi isn't Atem. Atem is the Pharaoh. Yugi is the punk kid.

hmm...not really, isn't pictionary played on teams? One person is selected to draw while the others guess. Rules could be that the moderator gives the team a set of words and the team that finished the most words out of some number of rounds is deemed the winner? so, i don't think logistics are difficult--setting up a drawing arena is probably the issue.

How bad is your eye sight? In the state of california, anything past 13 means you are legally blind. My eyesight is around -3.5/-3.25 and I still have a license

well, people can be only so so perfect... if you make one mistake, you fail...that in..err ain't right--everyone always in the long re..er run, i think the mistakes are more of bein having way too much anticipation for the next charat character.

I really don't see what that has to do with anything (and ytear yeah I saw the other guy's post; it's still stupid).
he just wondered and I responded to that--he didn't say that person had to be someone who types english regularly but whatever, I type stupid things anyways...

I wonder if there is someone out there who does not use backspace as their primary means to fix mistakes...

Steelers leading 24-3 at halftime... unless we have a repeat of last week (i.e. Steeler defense starts letting up and/or bad officiating), it appears we now have 1 wild card team in the super bowl...

EDIT: we do have 1 wild card team in the super bowl as Steelers beat the Broncos 34-17.

It is a matter of how much roots you have placed down in one place, I believe. If you never been embedded in a single region for much of your life, then it doesn't take much to get up and go. However, for some people, like me, they can't picture themselves living any other place. For others, the hassel (sp?) of moving is not worth it (packing, changing addresses of all your mail, redoing loans, etc, etc). For others, it is history--there is something about living in the same house all your life and watching the city/town you lived in evolve from when you were young until you grow old.

alright...that's the end of that--since there are no longer words unless you start hunting into the realms of obscure scientific concepts and stuff like that

Other ways to fix mistakes
+ type your post in an editor with spell check
+ search and replace
+ drag and drop
+ restart from the beginning (i.e. refresh the newreply page)
+ Ctrl-Backspace
+ Cut
+ Kill line (emacs)

uh...anything else?
