I like it, gives the game a newer feeling with classic play. And an interesting challenge no less. Keep up the good work.

I was just wondering if I'm totally blind or is the Genesis/Megadrive severely underdocumented and not worked on almost at all as far as hacking goes. In fact the only genesis hacking scene that seems to be even remotely progressed is Sonic due to a huge fan base.

Is the Genesis just that complex that utilities, debuggers and the like can't be made for it, or is it just that noone cares about it. I mean the console did have quite alot of good games.

Anyway I'm really interested in working on it but I can't find any resources. So anything anyone knows about it as far as tutorials and tools go would be good, or an explanation as to why I can't find any or why there are none if that is the case.

Damn, I almost hoped that it was because it was so complex, at least that would mean someone was working on it.

That really sucks. I mean there were a ton of good games for the Genesis. Especially the RPGs.

Well I'm still looking for ANY information if anyone has any. You know, the kind of stuff like a 10 year old tutorial you tossed in a folder labeled "junk" way back in the day that you could send my way.

Thank's I hope this helps. Well, it should, any information is good information

I was hoping to do some work with Shining Force I and II. I've done some interesting little alterations with memory including letting Bowie walk through walls allowing him to skip parts of the story completely XD.

Anyway, thanks again.

In my personal opinion, I think a simple "Submitted by" would suffice. That way it's clear that person may not of been the person to discover it, create it or anything of the like. And it could be easily stuck somewhere near the beginning or the end of everything so that it didn't interfere.

Any discovered by or created by stuff is just stupid. There could be tons of people who found it before you and never knew they could or to submit it.

....or maybe I'm just a moron. But that's what I think.

TM is the best, it's worth installing JRE.

If you have 2.70 then...you are screwed. It cannot and will never run homebrew.

Tell me which firmware you have, then I can help more.

That's not exactly correct. 1.00 is the only one that has "unrestricted access" to homebrew software. 1.50 has an exploit that lets it run and 2.00 can be downgraded or use a rather glitchy exploit for it, of course if you have one of the firmware between 1.50 and 2.00 you can upgrade then downgrade.

Oh and the mod chip is lacking some seirous proof of existance, most people think it's a fake.

By 'unrestricted access', I was just referring to the fact you can downgrade from 2.00 if you wish. And 1.5 is pretty much as unrestricted as you're going to get. But anyway. I was only trying to help.

And Serpent, try DGEN. Version 1.32 works best for me if I remember.

I know you were only trying to help but some people might have been confused by what you ment. And 1.0 is "pretty much as unrestricted as you're going to get" because it has no protection at all, no need to split the file and name the folders etc
