Posted on 11-24-05 03:47 PM, in Sound issues with SB 16 PCI and yamaha driver problem Link
Question number 1: I had recently installed a trial version of YAMAHA YXG50 on my XP pro system, about 5 minutes later the trial had expired luckily I had a full version of it that came with a magazine about 2 years ago. apparently the trial version refuses to leave taking with its remaining sound driver and Icon, it says in order to uninstall I need to download the YAMAHA uninstaller that YAMAHA made to completely remove it but I just can't seem to find it on the net or google.com can someonr please direct me to a site that has this file ?

Question number 2: I have a sound blaster PCI 16 souncard that I have not used for the past 3 years I begin using it again and it seems like everytime I play a midi or wave file it locks up! I have tried updating the sound cards driver to a newer version but it still doesn't work right..... is there a issue between XP pro sp2 and this sound card ? if so can somebody please tell me how fix this problem ?

Posted on 12-21-05 11:36 PM, in Nero 6 or Nero 7 problem or memorex DVD burner issues Link
Hey, I'm having a problem with nero 6, nero 7, and maybe the custom built external DVD-RW drive kit that I built.

On sunday I had recorded a game movie to my hard drive, I had burned the movie to a DVD+R 8.5 gig disc and transfered it to my other computer I told Nero 7 on this dell PC to burn the movie on a double layer disc to burn it, the memorex DVD-RW screwed up both of the discs that I had including 2 regular blank DVDs.
Nero 6 and Nero 7 told me that play length was 341 minutes and said it would lower the quality to fit which it did to fit on a blank DVD. every time i burned a DVD either 1 it will give me a error message which I'll show you now and 2 it will stay in transcoding mode for about five hours and F***** up the DVD and won't play on my PC or my moms DVD player......
I had took my DVD-RW and made it into a external drive kit to take with me when I either back up somebodys files or to use it on my pc.......
I'm probably gonna regret saying this but, if I take a video file and burn it straight to a DVD disc without menus and all that other stuff will it play on a normal DVD plauer or this a no go ?

here is the file that Nero 6 generated on my moms dell

Hey I am having a real bad problem with my N64 and and my game shark. About 2 months ago I started to use my old game shark version 2.0 again, the red light on the cartridge would count down from 10-3 seconds and would freeze up and wouldn't boot up after a while my old game shark would not boot up with my cartridges or without them, my N64 can boot up cartridges without any screws up..... I went to a online store and bought a new game shark pro 3.3 this brand new one won't even display the number or won't even boot up at all keep in mind that I just got this yesterday factory sealed up. the only thing it will do when I turn it on is flicker a small green screen for about 2 seconds and will quickly turn black and give me the same problems.

Can somebody please help me out with this issue please ?

As for the game shark pro 3.3 the Mother F****** won't even give any sign of life WTF is going on with this blasted thing ?? can anybody help me any further or give me a link to a site that can help me fix this damn thing ?

What does the Number 8 stand for on the gamesharks LED ?

I figured this shit out personally, I opened up the game shark 3.3 cartrige with my computer tools and compared my old game shark to this one and apparently there is supposed to be a led light on the new game shark and also this hardware was supposed to have to small black memory chips on this including a third large one that said DATEL systems or circuts also on the back of the game shark 3.3 there is supposed white dot on the cartrige that says v3.3 so basically I figured I just got screwed by a company called classic gaming, and the asshole who sold me this game shark her name is Michelle lee.....

Posted on 01-25-06 10:00 PM, in Question about Super metroid graphics and GFX Link
I have 2 questions about super metroid and its GFX:

1. I am just now using smile v0.70 and I was working with the chozo orb which is found in one of the exported GFX files that I did. I know that SM uses 24bits of graphics and I wanted to use a customize orb in my hack but when I put it inside the game and preview it the damn thing comes out the wrong color or solarized, my question is: what does the image resolution needs to be in for the color to be set right in super metroid ? 16,24 or 32 bit and also do I need to have have my images palette match the original ? also I'm using paint shop pro 10 to do my work.

2.I know that super mario world and super metroid are not so closely related but when I imported a customized GFX into SMW in 16bit color the game would try to match its color to the original GFX allowing me to make any adjustments to color if needed, but in super metroid if I import a custom GFX to SM the game just doesn't know which color to set the object color to it will either do this transparent or solarized making it impossible to edit in the game without messing up the colors of other sprites and objects causing it to look fucked up....... is there a solution to this problem ?

I'm gonna help you once and then please try to shut up and learn some of this stuff on your own , and if you at least try bring us back what you've done and we'll see about hookin you up..... until then just shut the hell up and quit spamming up the rom hacking board before you you get banned!!

1.YY-CHr for looking insise some snes games for GFX such as SMW, SMAS,etc.
2.Go search google for SMW rom get Lunar magic, read the faqs in the SMW hacking forum and practice hacking that until you get a good understanding about hacking, also remember not all SNES games are being hacked at the moment.
3. download adobe photoshop, Paint shop pro 7 and up or any other graphics editing tool that you would rather use.
4.also for sprites visit this site but try not to piss them off with spam http://www.gsarchives.net/

Last night I was looking inside the Super Metroid rom for any recognizable GFX and I found quite a bit but I stumbled across this part and I think its samuses 4 beams but I'm not sure if it is, I would like to turn one of those beams into something different and see how it turns out in the game, here is the link to the image http://img351.imageshack.us/img351/1803/samusbeamdata6qe.jpg ,but before I get into any of that I have been modifying the GFX that I got from smile v0.70 and I'm still trying to change the sprites to my own but like I said in my last post, the colors still come out solarized or reversed or worse screwed up and I AM USING 16bit-4bit color to import my own GFX to the game or the original game and it still comes out wrong can anybody guess what might be the problem ?

Raccon sam I know what that image is, that is a actual chozo orb i grabbed from metroid zero mission colorized it, turn it to grey saved it as 16 bit 4 bit graphics color and then I imported it to YY-Chr thats why it looks little strange and the problem I am having.

I have a question that I need some help on I want to upgrade my computers processor and memory.
My PC is a Gateway essential PC, processor is 433Mhz celeron- if I'm correct this PC should be using a socket 370 frame, if it is I would like to boost the power to at least 600Mhz celeron processor. If this is the case would this computer be able to handle it ? also I am aware that I'll need to update the BIOS but that **** Gateway company has not done another bios update since 5-21-2000 and I my computer has it already, will my PC accept the new processor if the bios is strong enough to detect it ? also my memory is 256MB if I use 2 stick of these will bios be able to accept it ?

I am looking at this website here for socket 370 to figure out how much I can upgrade it to, if I can only boost it to 500Mhz or not at all....... then screw it and nevermind.......

Right now I can't afford a new PC so please don't tell me to buy a new one when I don't have the money to get one.

Look guys, its not like I don't know how build a computer I just masterd my college courses in A+ and Network+ just at the end of december.
I tell you what Bass, if you can find me a good 478 or 775 socket motherboard and no bull shitten (PCCHIPS or shuttle motherboards) with a processor at 2.2 gigahertz I'll find some some way to get the money and buy it.... I already have everything I need to build a new PC which is, White ATX tower case 40gig hard drive, 256MB of DDR ram DVD-RW+- double layer burner, DVD-CD-RW combo drive a good spare monitor, wireless mouse, keyboard and a CPU celeron 1.8 ghz I don't know if this CPU is bad or not its gave me problems with my first build of my custom built system, it destroyed a brand new motherboard 2 christmases ago...... PM me if you find anything I am willing to spend under 75 dollars for both parts.

I have a question about this sprite

I am trying to add a few of these into sonic the hedgehog 3 using a program called sonik sprite, the sprite comes in halfway decent, but the problem is this custom sprites color is either to bright or not matching up to the original one thats already inside the game...... I'm using Paint shop pro 9 to work with the sprites is there a option inside PSP9 where I can tone down the shading so it will match up to the original ? also when I export the pallete from sonik sprite Paint shop pro won't recognize the pallete which is (sonic blue.pal) any idea of how I can fix this problem also within PSP9 ?

I hate to say this but the sprites I am working with now, I am going to import this to a program called SONIK SPRITE which will only take .bmp files not .gifs plus that program is useless to me anyway and causes a few problems with my display settings which I truly hate!
But do you have something else in mind besides that program ?

This is the original super sonic sprite I ripped 3 years ago :

and trying to get this custom sprite to match the original one: is there is a possible chance that I could match the first sprites color with the custom one ?

also something is wrong with my background layout! I don't know what the hell is wrong with it......
