A Tough one on the surface actually turns out simple. If I was in this situation, I'd not get involved. It's natural for ANY fiancee to have doubts, and perhaps her jitters are momentary, so if she acted upon her impulses, she might then regret them, and then of course you'd have her husband to be on your back. Leave the onus on her, and tell her that you're not going to reciptrocate her feelings unless she breaks off the engagement, it's far on this other bloke after all. That said if you've got doubts yopurself, it's only fair to tell her too, because if she breaks off this engagement for you, and then you'll not persue the relationship, well there will be 2 deeply unhappy people. I do have a confession to make, I've been in this situation twice, from both sides. Both times were unpleasent for differing reasons. Good luck! |

| Hmm... It depends on what sort of messagebiard you frequent. I've seen VERY *blushes* let's just say 'liberal' message boards where the split on who posts pictures is about 50/50. In those situations you find it's the women who has the power really as the blokes go ga-ga over them.
and no I;'ve not posted pictures in those sorts of MBs... and no I don't post on them either

| Jin - Welcome to the high flying world of care work Do they all have to be RMN's to work in care homes over there do they? Over here you can become a support worker with no experience whatsoever, all the training is on the job. Although my field is mental health instead of the elderly, the job's much the same. (yep, I have done a lot of cleaning up poo, wee, vomit and blood over the years).
For the purposes of this thread though, care work's not much good, it's very low paid - you don't do it for the money |

| Do I like being approached by women?
Now this IS strange but in every one of my relationships, the woman made the first move, every time I'VE made the first move I've been rejected offhand. Strange that. Perhaps I need to start giving women the brush off.
I personally though find it very flattering, other guys might not see it in that way, and some more unscrupulous men might even see it as a sort of predatorial advantage and try to progress the relationship towards sex quicker than they usually would. Either way, good luck Bella. It's good to see in this age of sexual equality, some women take the initiative. |

Emotions are strnage things, they're analogue, not digital which means you can't turn them on and off, evn if you want to. I know that this is a very stereotyped thing to say but the pain will subside in time, really, concentrate on what makes you happy rather than thinking about the ex.

- Well my ex fiancee was on here at one time when we were together, so that's one. There's been one other one, and she knew about it, but it was more of a very strong crush rather than anything else. She already had a boyfriend so it came to nothing. Two then or 1 1/2.

Have I been in that situation? Yep, and I'm about to give you the same advice that many others gave me in the same situation. This may seem uncharacteristically callous of me, but trust me, it's for your own good.

Forget her. If the friendship is in tatters, then there's nothing to salvage, nothing to see. By sitting here weeping you're achieving nothing but drowning in your own self pity, which to be honest has never helped anyone. Time isn't on your side? What on earth is THAT supposed to mean? Is your social life over when you leave college? I don't bloody well THINK so. If you're THAT pessimistic, then do yourself a favour and book into a monistary or something. The only reason to be sad is when you're in mourning, and you only mourn when you've actually LOST something, and by the sounds of it, you've lost absolutely nothing, so basically... Shape up, ship out, and stop feeling sorry for yourself. I know I do it a lot but it's never helped me either.

Actually very few people do ask me, and even when they do I lie, because due top the confidential nature of most of my work, I'm legally "gagged" from talking about it, so I can't elaborate on any bad days there, so as far as my friends are concerned every day of mine is a ray of sunshine Blimey, no wonder I get depressed! A Question for you all though? Blimey... umm.... ok, as it's Santes Dwynwen Day,, do you fancy me in any shape or form, and what tips would you give me to make me seem more atractive. "How do you deal with friends who are talking about you behind your back? " - If they were true friends, then they wouldn't be talking about you behind your back, of course it depends on the motives, they might just be worried about you. I'd confront them in a roundabout way. Ask them if they know of anyone who's been talking about you behind your back, their own conscience may then enable them to confess.
