This forum is usually asking for help about the board itself or making suggestions for it. I'll help you anyway.

1. I only know how to make screenshots in ZSNES. Play the ROM until you want to take a screenshot and hit F1 and then select "Save Snapshot". Also at the bottom, you might want to change the image format into PNG rather than BMP.

2. Making a link? Just use this:

a href="enter url here">text here
Add "<" to the beginning of this link and ">" to the end of the link. Also replace the url here with the url that you are linking to with the entire address. The text here is pretty obvious on what to put there.

BTW, if you don't have somewhere to host that hack, try SMW Central. They host hacks for you.

You don't need a new ROM, just use another emulator. FCE Ultra also does that to my SMB ROM so I play it on NesterJ and it works perfectly. If you don't have another emulator, here's a list of emulators at the dead site known as acmlm.org. That should fix your problem.

If that doesn't work for some reason, then use Google to start searching for a ROM because we don't allow rom requests like DarkSlaya mentioned.

Two April fool SMW hacks come into mind.

The first one is Smallhacker's Joke Hack featuring a bunch of glitches and other stuff.

The second one is the one I made in this thread featuring two levels. One of the levels has absolutely nothing except a message box and the other one is the final level of the game. It's very short though because I planned on making a joke hack that didn't have glitches and look like a normal game at the same time.

Wasn't too hard to figure out, eh? Besides, what other special effect and I use for a splash?


Nothing really, I guess the spraycan is probably the only way to make a splash effect.

Another good idea for number 7 is to use the Pick color in Paint and pick one the colors in the river so you can use it for the splash effect. The splash effect color in Number 7 doesn't match with one of the colors in the river.
