You could try to add a couple of enemies in that layout, but it might just get too cluttered.  |

The octal number system is rather odd yeah, I yet have to use it. xD Anyone who ever played around with SMB bugs knows that when you hit 128 lives, you actually hit -128 due to overflow (and whenever you die, it's a game over due to the negative number). From 0111 1111 to 1000 0000. And the first byte is a "signed" byte and uhm... i'm not sure how negative numbers are calculated though, so don't ask me.
Drat, it's hard to explain. Though, it should be said. Overflow exists everywhere. This post made so much sense that it made negative sense. (edited by Ailura on 01-30-06 11:52 AM) |

| Sometimes, it's actually quite cheap with repairs. That was the case with a TV of ours that my parents thought was totally dead.
Turned out to be a blown out capacitator. xD Easy to fix. And yeah, the TV acted dead and before it died it had alot of wierdness such as taking a few seconds to "warm up". Unless it's a really crappy TV, I would go for repairs. (edited by Ailure on 01-30-06 11:09 PM) |

| For some reason, Lime only exists on the light flavors of both Pepsi and Cola. There's no lime version of regular Coke.
Then, Vanilla was only for regular coke when it was around... damn I miss it.  |

| Meh, in the case of capacitaros. If you have the knowledge, it's not too hard to replace them yourself.
Although, I wouldn't say it's exactly safe considering that TV's and probably monitors too tend to be charged up on the inside. You can get a electrical shock if you're not careful. |

| So you say that to understand my computer fully, instead of working with the Linux kernel source code (or any OS). I need to make my own OS? I don't really get that logic...
Also, why this large fear for Open source in the ROM hacking community? Amongst emulators it's the norm, and heck. Unless you plan to sell the software for $$$, I see no reason to not open source it apart from the code being so sloppy that even yourself have a hard time understanding it. Also, the fear that someone else will stole the work is ridicolous. Especially if you're editor is known in this community. I don't understand the "MINE MINE MINE!" mentality a few ROM hackers have, instead of working together forward. I admit that I have a few unreleased hacking docs on my HD, but i'm going to release thoose as soon they're cleaned up. (edited by Ailure on 01-31-06 03:53 PM) |

You technically should be able to use it as a screensave if you make it react on keyboard input or something. Most screensavers dosen't seem to be really diffrent from regular programs.  |
