First off, I hate to use both my first post and first thread on something like this, but if I don't make this thread today, I'm going to go crazy (so to speak)

The job is at Taco Bell, for those that haven't read that here, or at board2. Right now, I work during both the night and day. By that I mean that one day, I could be working in the morning or afternoon, while on another day, I could be working at night. Thing is, the job itself turned out to be not at all like what I expected it to be. I don't like working there at all, to sum it up in a few words. As for what I don't like about it in detail, the following paragraphs will explain that. Note that I haven't yet been shown how to make food, or take orders at the counter. I know how to do three main things so far, which are the following:

Taking orders and customers' money at the drive through / drive through window. I've actually only taken the orders for one night now, but I'm still going to include that, as I was on my own, except for when I needed help from the two other people that were working that night as well. That's fairly easy, although it can get stressful at times when there's no end to the line of vehicles, or you can't figure out what to press on the keypad. I realize the latter problem will disappear after I get used to taking orders, but that hasn't happened yet. As for taking money at the window, that's pretty easy. The only problem I've had with that so far is accidentally forgetting to give a customer their change, or giving them the wrong amount.

The second task I've done up 'till now has been washing the dishes. According to the manager there, dish duty is given to whoever is running the drive through. It's easy enough to wash them, except when you get the occasional dish that needs to be soaked, but the problem with them is that there's usually so many. Last time I went in, they were piled up on the floor.

Finally, the third thing I know how to do is clean up the dining room during the day. That's a simple matter of wiping down tables if they're dirty, taking any trays back to the sink to be washed, changing the garbages, and cleaning and restocking the drink station. I can't really complain about this duty, as it has to be the easiest thing that needs to be done there. However, I only need to worry about it during the day. Not at night.

Now, I really don't like working at night, as so far, I've started at either 8 or 10, and had to work anywhere up 'till 5 in the morning, and possibly longer if there was still something that needed to be done. That in itself is the main reason I want to find a different job, at which I'd have to work 'till 12 at night, at latest.

I've already made a suggestion to my parents about working there until the end of November, then looking for another job, but they want me to continue working until I find another job, at which point I can leave Taco Bell. I just went up to Value Village last night and filled out another application form (that's three or four I've filled out there now), but while I was filling it out, I overheard one of the people that worked there say something about taking down the "Now Hiring" sign in the window, because they had a lot of something. I'm not sure what they have a lot of, but I've got the feeling they're application forms. However, I have four other places in mind as well. They are...

:: Real Canadian SuperStore
:: EB Games
:: Blockbuster
:: Wal-Mart

As should be obvious, I don't want to work at a fast food place unless I can't find a job anywhere else, although with luck, that won't be a problem.

Anyone else have an experience like this with their first job? I imagine there would be a few people here that did, and it'd be nice to see I'm not the only one who feels this way about their first job

I can't really say I'm a fan of Taco Bell's food Up until when I started working there, I'd only eaten there once in my life (at an old friend's birthday party), and after seeing what the beef and such that's used for the food looks like before it's actually put in a taco shell or whatever else, I'm glad I've only eaten there once. I'm not trying to tell you that you shouldn't like their food, by any means. It's your choice if you want to eat there

Neither am I trying to say that other people that work at fast food places must feel the same way. There's got to be at least a couple people out there who work somewhere else, and would give anything to get a job at a fast food place. Well, actually that may not be the case, but there's always a possibility

As for working at a grocery store, Real Canadian SuperStore is partly one (half the store is food and related items, while the other half is clothes, toys, and stuff like that), and although I've already applied there once, I will again, as it can't hurt to do so. The only other grocery store I can think of is a No Frills that's going to be taking the place of Zehrs, as it got closed. Thinking about where the first Zehrs we ever went to was, there's Zellers, Canadian Tire, and a bunch of other shops near it, which I can try applying to. When it comes to gift shops, the only one I can think of right now is Gospel Text, but my sister already works there for her co-op course, so I doubt getting a job there would work. There has to be at least one other gift shop here though, so I'll have to take a look around.

Now that you've mentioned pet stores though, there is a Pet Valu that's pretty close to our house. The Heart and Stroke office, which is where I'm writing this from right now, is further away than that store.

Finally, I forgot to mention something in my previous post. I plan on telling Earl (the day manager) that I don't want to work anymore nights after the end of November next time I'm in during the day (which I think is this Thursday). The thing that pushed me over the edge in that regard was the hours I have to work this coming Friday and Saturday: 8 'till 5 in the morning both nights My friend is the night manager, so he won't be too pleased about that, but my decision is more based on not wanting to work nights at all, as opposed to what he thinks I should do.

Thanks for the suggestions though

I had downloaded Legend Road last Thursday or Friday, but after seeing that it involved course files, and I haven't a clue what to do with them, I deleted it However, I did take home all of Moogy and bgyoshi's simfiles. I've never heard of either of them before, but I decided to download theirs as I was looking for some difficult simfiles, and they both had a decent amount that looked like they'd be challenging. Xeno-Flow by Moogy is especially so. I used to think songs such as Delirium or Quasar were bad in terms of 16th runs, then I played it and saw that it could get worse. Still, Gaussian Blur is even faster. I did manage to get a B on Xeno-Flow, but I'm amazed I even managed to get that.

As for other difficult songs, Cold Pizza by DukAmok was pretty hard, although it was more difficult to find time to play the song while my parents were upstairs or out of the house, as it's got just a bit of swearing in it M was another one that was pretty hard, but I was trying to get an A on it, because I could get B's pretty much any time I tried the song. Satan's Castle is the only other one that comes to mind. The parts that just have quarter and half note arrows are fairly easy, although when the purple arrows start coming in (I believe they're 12ths), I pretty much tapped random arrows Songs on either list other than the ones mentioned either weren't too hard, or I was able to complete them, so I was just trying to get a higher rank.

Since the old thread's in the archive now, I'll post links to both score lists again. The frames version is here, and the no-frames version can be found here.

It's nearing 5:00 now, so until tomorrow (hopefully) this is it

Well, I got picked up by my Mom at 10 this morning to head out and get some application forms from various places. The first place we went to was EB Games, but apparently the assistant manager is supposed to have already phoned people to schedule interviews, and given that I've not been called, and what's been stated in this thread about working there, I think that's a good thing

As for Wal-Mart, we didn't go there this morning, as my Mom forgot about it, and I didn't feel like mentioning it, since we had to pick my sister up by 11, and it was nearly that time. After reading what MathOnNapkins and Joachim have said about it, I don't think I'm going to go there after all

Finally, Real Canadian Superstore (I've realized the second "s" is supposed to be lowercase ), after doing a bit of searching with google, I found this page in Wikipedia. The thing that caught my eye was this:

Zehrs Markets are known in Ontario by three distinct names, "Zehrs Markets, Zehrs Food Plus and Real Canadian Superstore (Ontario).

We used to have two Zehrs Markets here, but they've both closed now, one Zehrs Food Plus, which recently closed as well, and then Real Canadian Superstore, which is obviously open. As far as I can tell, you can basically say it's a Zehrs, except with a different name, and selling things besides food Whatever the case, we stopped by there as well, and although the lady behind the customer service desk couldn't say whether they were still hiring or not, I picked up a couple application forms.

A couple other places came to mind this afternoon though, a few of which I listed in my previous post.

:: Zellers
:: Canadian Tire
:: Staples

I went to Blockbuster as well, although they didn't have any application forms handy, so the person at the counter told me to bring in my resume as soon as possible. We go grocery shopping tomorrow, so I can drop my resume off then. I have to work tomorrow as well though, although it's from 4 to 9 at night, which isn't too bad.

It's 4:58 right now though, and I need to leave at 5, so that's all I have to say for now. It's going to be a long weekend, what with those two 8-5 shifts, but I made it through last weekend, so I should be able to do the same for the coming one.

Right away, I've got a question to ask, having to do with StepMania, although that should be obvious.

I've got one group labelled "Hiryuu" (yes, I've still yet to break them into groups for the different mixes), in which are 5 Max songs, in the following order:

:: Max 300
:: Max 300 (Fusion Mix)
:: Max Max
:: Max Rock Trilogy
:: Maxx Infinity

We'll assume the song selected is Max 300. Looking at the rank for that song, and the others below it, all of them have been AA'ed on the highest difficulty. However, press right 4 times, so Maxx Infinity is selected, and it's rank changes to an A

That's all I have time to say for now though, as I leave at 3 today

I hope this isn't a bump I was going to post some of this last time I was in, but I was still the last one to have posted in this thread, and I didn't want to make a double post. Since about the middle of last week, I applied to 6 more places that I thought would be fun to work at. They are the following:

:: Blockbuster
:: Sobeys
:: Canadian Tire
:: Staples
:: Zellers
:: Pet Valu

Both Canadian Tire and Pet Valu didn't have application forms, so I just gave them my resume. The lady at Pet Valu actually said something about showing it to her husband, which I wasn't expecting. Still, I'd like to work there, as it definitely is smaller, and a lot less hectic than Taco Bell. That doesn't mean that I don't want to work at the other places as much. Pet Valu just stuck out so far.

I have to work two more 8 to 5 shifts this Friday and Saturday night, so I'm glad I've managed to apply to as many places as I have already I did get my first pay stub last Thursday or Friday, and I don't know what's wrong with it, but apparently I've only earned ~$35 so far I assume it'll be more next time, but it doesn't help me like the job any more.

There's still a bit of stuff I've yet to say, but seeing as it's already nearly 5:00, I'm going to end this here. I am in again tomorrow though, so I'll type the rest then

Two threads within 10 posts. I'm doing well

Anyways, a couple months ago now, I moved all the ROMs on my computer to the shared folder, so they could be accessed by my brother and sister if they wanted to play them, as their accounts are limited. They're all zipped, just to save whatever space I can, which works fine for every emulator except ZSNES, for some odd reason. I think it's because it tries to unzip them to a folder in the directory the ROM is in (I think it's called zziptmp), and the Shared Folder as well as any subdirectories in it are read-only for anyone not using an Administrator account.

What I'd like to know is, is it possible to somehow change the attributes of the SNES folder so that anyone can play the ROMs contained in it? I imagine it would be, but I don't know how to go about making the change I've already tried opening the folder properties window for the SNES ROMs folder, and unchecking "Read-Only", but it never works.

In case you need to see the directory structure, a picture of it can be found here. I couldn't think of a reason to include the rest of the folders, but I suppose it's better to do so, rather than find out after posting this that I should've. You can just ignore the Shared Music, Pictures, and Video folders, as they haven't been touched since we got the computer.

I realize a simple solution to this would be to just give every account administrator privledges, but right now, that's a last resort

Thanks if you can help

We own the first one, and I've played the second using an emulator. I actually have both on my PSP right now, so yes, I still play them as well. I really don't like the second one as much of the first, mainly because of the multiple levels in the tunnels (as in the low, medium, and high level), and how you no longer move a set distance each time you press a direction on the controller. In case that's unclear, I mean how in the first one, if you pressed up while in a tunnel, you'd move up one square. In the second one, you'd move up just a bit.

My favorite part of the first one, by far, is the parrot / organ puzzle. Upon getting to the 5th island for the first time, I hadn't a clue what to do. All I knew was that I had to do something with the parrot, then managed to find my way to the house with the guy that gives you the worm. I haven't seen it in a while, but there's still a piece of paper somewhere around our house with "Do Me So Far Do Me" written on it

As for the frequency puzzle (the one where the number is 747), that had me puzzled for a while as well, until I realized there was a letter sort of thing that was in the box. Running it under some water in our bathroom revealed the number we deperately needed. That was definitely a neat trick, but it must have frustrated quite a few people that either threw the paper out, didn't get it with the game, or lost it.

Now...

There was a saved game on that cart with all the levels unlocked, and I remember trying Captain Bell's ship (the level after the whale, I think) and not being able to get past some room with pits that dropped you into a room with sharp logs poking up from the floor.

If it's the room I'm thinking of, all you had to do was exit via the top-left staircase, walk down a bit, then go through the wall on your left. Of course it's likely too late to try that now, but that's all you needed to do

The only other memory I have of it is of something in the first tunnel. There's a room that has doors on the left and right hand side of it, that both lead to rooms, in which the only way out is death. There's a block you can hop on somewhere in the room, that reveals a switch, which in turn blows a hole in the top wall. My Mom still played games on our NES back then, and she had my brother (who was playing the game at the time) search every other block in the room for another switch, as a result of being excited about finally figuring out what to do

Anyways, I've got to leave now, but I do still have fond memories of this game. It would've been nice to see a third one, but two is better than none

I managed to make it through the weekend, thankfully. Right now, the biggest annoyance I have is that I usually get scheduled to close on Friday night. That means I work 'till 5 in the morning at latest. Saturday morning, I have to be up at 10, as I play in the Advanced Class and Junior band of the Chatham Concert Band here, and practice starts at 11. As a result, I'm either on the verge of falling asleep while waiting for practice to start, or I don't even feel like getting out of bed Thankfully, our annual Christmas concert is this Sunday afternoon, and I don't have to worry about practices after that until January.

Right now though, I only have to work this Friday night (9 'till 4 in the morning), and nothing until the 13th after that. When I go in to work on Friday though, I imagine a new schedule will be up, with new shifts for me to work. I do know I don't have to work next Saturday night though, as the Christmas party is taking place on that day, and as far as I know, it goes 'till 1 in the morning

Anyways, I'm going to give a response to each of the posts in this thread, beginning with Rydain's, as I don't want to make anyone feel left out

Rydain: Just out of curiosity, what kind of shifts do / did you have to work? As I already told Danielle, I can't say I like the food (the Apple Pies and Cinnamon Twists, yes, but not the other food), but most of the other people there are pretty nice and likeable. The two people that I knew previous to my starting work there had a bit of fun with me the first night I was in. First of all, I got soaked with the dish washing thing (I don't know what it's called), got tricked into watering fake plants, and had someone jump out of a dumpster and fridge at me

spell words right: I want to call you "Spel werdz rite" but I can't now. As much as I'd like to be able to, I can't really say I know how much I should be getting, but it is enough to keep me working there until I find another job. As for Wal-Mart having a bad smell, I've only been to one or two so far, and they haven't smelled funny in any way The only thing I've ever gone into one for has been to visit the Electronics section, so that's pretty much the only area I had in mind to apply for when I thought of Wal-Mart. I don't know whether the thing about getting free movie rentals if you work at Blockbuster is true or not, but given some of the other replies in this thread, it sounds like it is

Bella: I'd be amazed if I went to see more than 5 movies in a year, let alone renting 5 in a month That would be a nice benefit to have though. Up until now, seeing movies that I'm interested in has been a process of either downloading it, or asking my Dad to borrow it from the library on his way home. It's been a week and a bit since I dropped my resume off there, and I still have another blank one at home, so if need be, I will fill it out and drop it off as well.

Luigi-Santa: I've never heard of Mighty Taco before Could it possibly be a U.S. only place? We don't have a Gamestop here either. Up until getting EB Games, we've actually had no stores that were actually devoted to selling videogames and related products As for that sign, I've seen it a couple times before, but still, it'd be quite embarassing to have been the one that put that up (provided that was an accident), then been told to go outside and look at the sign Right now, the sign outside of the Taco Bell I'm working at has something about a new Chipotle Burrito or something of the sort. The only problem is that whoever changed the sign left the "i" out of burrito. Not nearly as funny as that picture, but it still made me laugh. For all anyone knows though, the person changing the sign could've forgotten an "f", then gone back inside to get it, which would give anyone walking by with a camera a good opportunity to take a picture. Seeing as there isn't a space between the "i" and "t" though, that seems rather unlikely, but it still is a possibility.

Thayer: Unless it's some sort of fancy electric sign controlled by a computer, I doubt it would As I already said above though, there's no guarantee that the sign stayed like that for over a day, or less time even.

Danielle: I think pretty much anyone that gave it a quick glance would read it as "Shifts" at first, since that's what most people are used to seeing, but upon closer inspection, would see that they were wrong. I can't help but wonder how many people walked or drove by that sign before someone actually went into the store to tell the manager or one of the employees about the sign. As for your babysitting, it's too bad that you don't get paid, especially seeing as you work for a decent chunk of time If I was in your situation though, I'd be glad I was working inside instead of out. I actually took a small course on babysitting quite a while ago now, but I still don't think I'd want to have that as a job. I can't stand listening to kids screaming and crying for more than five minutes at a time

[GGS] Cruel Justice: My drive through training was pretty much the following. When someone drives up to the speaker, you'll hear a *ding* from your headset. What you need to say is "Welcome to Taco Bell. My name is . Can I take your order?" I actually say "What can I get you today / tonight?" as opposed to "Can I take your order?" but so far, nobody has complained. Then they tell you what they want. Most of the stuff is pretty easy to find on the pad, although some of the buttons are divided in half, with one item on top, and one on bottom, and you have to press the "Lrg / Shift" key if you want to select something on the bottom. An example of that is the G. Crunch / Combo #7 button. When I first started doing the drive through, I had no idea what to press if someone said "I want a Cheezy Gordita Crunch". Now I know that you simply have to press the previously mentioned button, but it'd be nice if it had it's own seperate spot. As well, people have the choice to either get Fries Supreme or Nachos instead of fries with their combo. Fries Supreme is easy enough. Simply press the "Up Sup" button. However, if they want nachos, you need to press "1", "Up Sup", "Nacho for Fry". As well, depending on the combo they want, that process changes again. Thankfully, when I've gotten confused so far, I've been able to call one of the other people working there over to ask them how to do whatever, and they've helped. After that, you have to go over to another till to take the customers' cash, but that's easy. As for calling it Taco Hell, it does suit the place quite well (at least to me), but I don't want to be caught calling it that around another employee or a manager

mcw: If you were to get a job online, what exactly would you be doing? I know back when we had a connection to the internet at home, my Dad was looking into getting a job online, but given that he doesn't know a lot about computers to begin with, let alone the internet, it didn't work out. It's unfortunate that you live so far away from places that you'd otherwise be able to try to get a job at, but I'm sure you'll have an opportunity to get one eventually As for loving your free time, I have to agree with you. You really don't realize how much you have until it's gone.

Wurl: Well, as long as you're making money, and don't have any other way of doing so, I wouldn't complain. $10 isn't alot of money to get for how long you're working, but it's better than nothing

insectduel: As MathOnNapkins said, if you truly feel that way, then tell him. Make up a list of your accomplishments and improvements, and show it to him, to prove that you're doing a good job. Hopefully your interview will have good results. I wouldn't want to work at a job like you have, with the way you describe it. Where exactly do you work anyways?

I'd say something to MathOnNapkins now, but his post wasn't directed at me Now, since applying to those 6 places, I've only been able to think of one other to try, that being Shoppers Drug Mart. As far as I know, it's open 24 hours, but I plan on specifying mornings and afternoons only.

That's all from me for now.

Right. My profile currently says that a picture of me can be found in the photo album, while checking it proves that wrong. This needs to be remedied. My picture hasn't changed from what it was before, and it's still located in the same place, but with a different filename, so I'll post two links.

:: Large
:: Small

The small one makes my head look fat I don't know whether it's coincidence or not, but as I write this post, I'm wearing the same shirt / sweater thing that I have on in those pictures

Next time I manage to get my hands on a digital camera, I'll have someone take another picture of me, but for now, those old ones are all that I have. In my opinion, I still look pretty much the same as I do in those pictures, minus the sideburns, but having up-to-date photos can't hurt.

It's been some time since either of them have tried to open a ROM while logged into their accounts (I usually stay logged on so my brother can listen to music), but as far as I can remember, ZSNES either just crashes or gives an error about a file / folder not being able to be read or written. It very well could've just stayed at a blank screen as well I realize all that uncertainty doesn't help, but as I already said, it's been a while since I tried it

I imagine if ZSNES changed, so that the ROM was unzipped into the root directory of whatever profile you're logged in as (drive letter :/Documents and Settings/username), this problem would be solved, but sadly, that's not what happens.

As for your problem, I'd guess that either something happened to your CD either before, after, or during the burning process, or the ROMs didn't work in the first place.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one to have run into this sort of problem though

Yay for having a PSP with a 1GB memory stick. I no longer have to lug my external hard drive back and forth to download / transfer things. I've only got six result pictures to show today, but they're better than nothing at all

:: Binary; Challenge, C400
:: Exotic Ethnic Megamix; Challenge, C400
:: It's a Small World (Ducking Hardcore Mix); Challenge, C400
:: PARANOiA Scaper; Heavy, C400
:: Salieri Strikes Back; Heavy, C400
:: Sweet Sweet Love Magic; Challenge, C400

First of all, the version of "It's a Small World" in the screenshot is not the one that's in the Keyboard Megapack I'd be surprised if I managed to get an AA on that one. The one seen there is done by bgyoshi (at least I think). I simply got to playing it a couple nights ago and thought "It shouldn't be too hard to get an AAA on this", then played it until I got that result.

Next, I realize that result on Exotic Ethnic Megamix isn't too great, but that was the first time I played it, except for one quick try at it after unzipping the file to the appropriate folder. I'll try it again tonight to see if I can do any better. At least it's not a D

I haven't played DDR Mario Mix in quite a while, although I did bring the pad downstairs a couple nights ago to do a bit of two player with my brother. It's fun being able to get A's or B's on songs, while playing on Hard / Very Hard, using the pad, and not having played the game in a while, while he chose the same difficulties, was using the controller, and was getting B's and C's. I suppose I can't brag though. Pretty much anyone that uses a pad to play that style of game that posts in this thread would be able to beat me

I don't plan on staying at newreply.php until 5 today, so the above is all I have to say in this thread for now

I don't know if it counts, but my portable music player is my PSP It's only got 1GB of storage, although that changes to about 950MB, when you consider that the system files, emulators, ROMs and such stuff like that take up a fair amount of space.

Right now I've got several Christmas songs, everything made by DJ Zero that I've been able to find, the entire Tales of Symphonia soundtrack, my favorite OCRemix songs, and several other files on it. There's about 160MB of free space right now, although I do plan on deleting the Tales of Symphonia songs, as they take up 313MB alone I did have plans to buy some sort of MP3 player as soon as I had the money to do so, but given that I've got a PSP now, I don't think I will be.

Most of the time I've listened to music on it so far, I've been outdoors, so I've had to use the headphones. The first couple times I put them on, I was surprised at how much better the music sounded with them on. I guess that's what happens when you rarely ever listen to music using those type of things Having the little remote control type thing is handy as well, as it's more convenient to be able to lock the buttons on the PSP, slip it into the case, which goes into my pocket, and then change the volume / song that's playing with it instead.

The only thing I don't like is the battery life, but that's something I was aware of well before I bought it.

Overall, I'm quite happy with it, even if it really doesn't count as a portable music player

The following is something I posted in another thread that existed before this board got restarted, regarding taking screenshots of a hack. I'll just cut and paste, for the sake of easiness.

First off, you should look through your emulator's menus to see if there's an option to save screenshots. Most of the newer ones should, but if not, here's some simple steps to follow:

1) Get to the place in the game you want to take a screenshot of, then hold the ALT key on your keyboard, and press "Print Screen". ALT is near the lower left, and Print Screen is above the Insert, Home, and Page Up keys, just in case you didn't know.
2) Open paint, or your image editor of choice and press CTRL+V to paste the screenshot. If you use paint, and a dialog box pops up that says something about the size of the image being larger than what you have room for, then click "Yes" to make the area in paint bigger.
3) Save the image with whatever filename you like, but make sure it's not in .bmp format. Try to use either .jpg or .png.
4) Go to ImageShack, click the "Browse" button, and navigate to where you saved the picture. Double-click the file to upload it to ImageShack.
5) Now you should be presented with a bunch of links to the picture. Find the link enclosed in IMG tags, and cut and paste it into your post.

I think that covers pretty much everything

Of course, you don't have to use ImageShack, but that's the site I use, which is why I wrote the instructions for it.

The only disadvantage to the above is that the titlebar and borders of the emulator will appear in the screenshot, so unless you don't mind them being there, you'll have to remove them yourself before uploading / posting the screenshot(s). As has already been said though, most emulators these days should have an option for taking screenshots. If, in the unlikely case, yours doesn't, the above should do the job

Soooo I'm guessing if you don't have it yet, you'll be hard press to find it anymore.

Not to start an argument or anything, but after reading that, I did a quick google search for "ddr mario mix discontinued", which, among other results, gave me a link to this thread on another forum. The following post stood out:

I was about to post the link that what just posted. It's not discontinued, it's a false rumor based on an internal Gamestop/EB Games email that was sent out to stores. According to the email, stores were told that it was discontinued, but Nintendo of America has said they're just having trouble meeting demand, and that they probably won't be able to get any more out till the new year.

Anyone looking for one in the NYC area, the Nintendo World store at Rockefeller Center has plenty."

I can't really say whether that's reliable or not, but provided it is, it's alot better than having Nintendo discontinue the game completeley. Either way, I'm glad I've got a copy of the game already

As for Guitar Hero, me and my brother were up at EB Games a couple nights ago to show our parents what games we wanted for Christmas presents, and he saw that game up on the shelf behind the counter, and asked about it. The clerk said that he'd probably like it, but given that he gets embarassed just standing on the pad for DDR Mario Mix, I doubt he'd do much better trying to play that game. As well, he's never bought a game of that sort before, so I doubt getting him to buy one would be as easy as saying "you'd probably like this".

Now, screenshots. 10 of them today.

:: Brace Yourself; Heavy, C400
:: Don't Stop; Heavy, C400
:: Frozen Ray; Challenge, C400
:: Go to Sleep; Heavy, C400
:: HappyNext; Heavy, C400
:: Heaven Tonight; Challenge, C400
:: Hero (Happy Grandale Mix); Challenge, C400
:: MoonlightX; Challenge, C400
:: Nuon; Challenge, C400
:: Techno Tetris; Heavy, C400

That version of "Brace Yourself" is the one in the Keyboard Megapack, just to clear that up. Before actually managing to make it through the song, I was able to get 30 seconds to a minute from the end. I gave it another try last night, and as you can see, I managed to clear it. I'm not completely sure where the version of "Frozen Ray" seen there is. I think it's from the "5 Finger Classics" song pack you can download from Bemanistyle's media shop. So far, I've only played through it about 3 times, as I just downloaded it yesterday, so I likely could've gotten a better result, but for now, that'll do. I don't really like "Go to Sleep", but I figured that as long as I had a screenshot of my result, I might as well upload it I haven't got anything to say about "HappyNext" or "Heaven Tonight", but I will say that "Hero (Happy Grandale Mix)" was done by dantheman650. Not the easy version

Nuon had to be the hardest song out of all those screenshots. I only played through it twice, both times getting a C

I thought I had more to say, but I can't think of anything else, so that's it, once again.

I feel lucky. Within one minute, I've seen that star at the top of the page twice. Once when I loaded the third page of this thread, and once after I loaded the index page again, then clicked the link for this forum

Anyways, provided I'm not too late, I'd like to get in on this I can't guarantee anyone would get cards from me this year, but I'll try my best to send one back to anyone I get one from. I was going to take part in this last year, but I figured I was too new to the board, and I believe time had run out by the time I saw the thread anyways

Provided I'm not too late, my address is listed in my profile, underneath the images. If I am too late though, I'll just wait 'till next year

Right. I'm beginning to get annoyed with this thing. Within 30 minutes, I've had it appear 5 times on me I took a screenshot of it each time, so I'll post links to them as proof:

:: First Time
:: Second Time
:: Third Time
:: Fourth Time
:: Fifth Time

I wouldn't be surprised if I see it a couple more times before 5:00 either Try to ignore all the tabs I have open on the board as well. I'm still writing a post in one, was sending a PM in another, and had the index page loaded in the third

I suppose we'll just have to live with it for now though. It is surprising to see instead of the normal banner, but as I've already said, it gets rather annoying after seeing it frequently

I'm beginning to regret not browsing that board more frequently I just logged in to download that OSC (I feel rather silly using that acronym when I don't know what it stands for ), but I saw this thread first. Add to that the fact that I forgot to bring my PSP today, and the timing couldn't be better Oh well, I can download them today, but I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to take them home.

I'd post what results I can remember, but there are only two of them, compared to 15 screenshots, so I'll just wait until tomorrow for that as well.

Now, not to call attention to myself or anything, but given that the current discussion has turned to simfile creation, I'll take this chance to say that yes, I'm still working on Romancing SaGa, and I also started on another song. I won't say which right now, but so far, I've got the banner almost finished, the background is done, and I've got about 10 arrows placed so far I started with Edit as the difficulty, as I want to make it as hard as possible (without going overboard, of course) at first, then work down to Heavy or so.

Until tomorrow (provided I don't forget my PSP again), that's it for now.

Yesterday evening, I had gone upstairs for what I planned to be the rest of the night. Around 8:30, my sister knocked on my door, and said that someone was on the phone for me. As it turned out, it was my friend Josh. He was waiting at our front door, and he had to call our house from his cell phone, as nobody heard him knocking He wanted to know if I'd like to go to his house for the night, so I said yes, then started going back upstairs to grab my PSP and DS. A couple steps up though, he asked me if I wanted to know why I was down to working pretty much one shift a week (right now I have to work this coming Friday night, and Sunday evening).

Apparently it's because some of the managers there like me, while others don't. The ones that work during the day don't like me, while those that have night shifts do. So far, I've only had to work with two different managers at night, but I still do like them better than the daytime ones.

Last time I worked during the night was last Friday. The night, for me, consisted entirely of washing dishes and cleaning the dining room From what I was told though, having someone doing dishes and only dishes for most of the night helped the person taking orders at the drive through out quite a bit.

As or what you said, EvilMushroom, there are no GameStop stores around here, so I think I'm safe there I do appreciate the concern though.

Anyhow, it's nearing 5:00, so for now, I'm going to leave this where it is.

Well, I might as well get the screenshots out of the way to begin with, as there's a whopping 18 of them

:: 2000000000; Challenge, C400
:: Another World; Heavy, C400
:: G2 (Keyboard Megapack Version); Heavy, C400
:: Happy Happy Dance; Heavy, C400
:: Karma; Heavy, C400
:: Love Love Shine Survovir MAX; Edit, C400
:: MoonlightX; Edit, C400
:: Nemesis; Heavy, C400
:: Nuon; Challenge, C400
:: PARANOiA (Bounce Connected Mix) (Hiryuu's Version); Challenge, C400
:: Rainbow Flyer; Challenge, C400
:: RPG Battle; Heavy, C400
:: Samurai Zero; Heavy, C400
:: Star Field; Heavy, C400
:: The Club is Open; Heavy, C400
:: The Retarted Song; Heavy, C400
:: The System is Down; Heavy, C400
:: Tokai; Heavy, C400

The last two were pretty easy (a 7 and 8 respectively, if I remember right), so take that for what you will

I was hoping to be able to take home some new simfiles tonight, but as of right now, I've 7.31MB of free space on my memory stick, so I think that'll have to wait until tomorrow

Anyways, I'll end this here now, as I'd rather not take the chance of it being 5:00 and not having posted this at all
