Also, beating Bowser with the Hammer Bros. suit is both entertaining and rewarding.

It all boils down to stupidity. Someone can think one console is better than another without being a fanboy. Usually, if someone only owns Nintendo consoles, then they will be a Nintendo Fanboy. Not because they have legitimate reasons for disliking the other consoles, but because they haven't even given the other consoles a chance. Sorta sounds like racism doesn't it?

I take that as an insult- you're nearly calling me a racist because I don't shell out hundreds of dollars for game systems I don't have too much interest in?

This may not be helpful, but I seem to remember this being discussed a while back. If I'm not mistaken, it has something to do with the castles leading to a world on the same map/submap. In the original SMW every castle you beat sent you to a different submap with the exception of World 6.I am going to go try to find that topic.

Well, with SMB3, if you played all the way through the game, then started over without reseting, you would have your reserve box full of p-wings. Everytime you beat the game, you would start over with a different item filling your reserve. Eventually you would get the hammer bros. suit, tanooki suit, frog suit, etc.
