hat is not a Mac problem, nor is it a hex editor problem. Step up! Make a difference! Create a hex editor for Mac that supports character tables!


Thanks for the encouragement, and Yes, by a coincidence, I've started recently to learn some Cocoa stuff, and will probably try to make a some kind of a Text Editor ;P


By the way, Tile Molester, is a Java application and works on OS X too.


Yes, I'm aware of that. I've been using it since it came out, and I simply love the program. It can handle so many codecs, and it's easy to use.

By using an already used color, like Brown, as in Feet. Or White, as in Eyes.

Well, I was thinking about the possibility of making a normal SMB3 styled Hammer/Sledge brother by raping some ROM offsets

Well, first of all, change 0x15DD7 to EA EA EA to disable hammer bros. platform vertical movement.
Now he moves only horizontally. Then, change 0x15DDA to EA EA EA to disable the horizontal movement. Now you have a still Hammer Brother. Then change 0x015C94 to EA EA EA to make the bugger turning around.
Now you have a still Hammer Brother, which throws Hammers only into one direction. Of Course, the graphical editing of this little fellow is advised, if you know what I mean .
But is this possible? I haven't yet had the chance to try because Personal reasons and HEXedit problems. So I'd like a confirmation here..

If I'm correct, 0x081BF is 42 if the Hack is locked.
So uh, all you need is a HEX editor

You know, like the way Rex's head is in SMW.
It's displaced, and it isn't on the exact snapping 16 x 16 position.
So I need to displace the vegetable in SMB2 (NES). It's on top of Mario's head, and due my new edited graphics, it needs to be a bit more to the upper right.
So uh, anyone can help? I checked the Datacrystal Article, didn't find anything..

Actually, I'm not. He has at least three shades of green, but he used only 2.


And on a side note, he has the mind-blowing 256 colors in Super Mario Advance 2, don't know about SMW though.
